Drop-down lists specific row in table

Hello

I use jdev 11.1.13 and created a Fusion project.

In the application, I have a table with two columns editable. 1st outputtext and 2nd column selectonechoice column.
The drop-down list values come from a query of lookup table where the value of outputtext 1st column would be the binding variable.

My requirement is to show the line of the specific list values which means function 1st column value.

Any help would be appreciated.

~ Abhijit

Hello

Set the variable of relevant link in the data source list (vo that acts as the source for the values in the list, employeelist)
In the Basic object view, in the users section see VO list and after the have attached, click the pencil icon
You should see a connection variable and set the value as DeptNo which is another name for the attribute
It should work?

  • Populate a drop-down list based on selected in a drop-down list in a separate table

    Good day all.

    This may seem a simple question for most, but... He had me frustrated trying to figure out.

    I'm trying to fill in a drop-down list that is based on what is selected in another drop-down list.

    Let me explain what I've done so far.

    Life cycle of Designer 8.05.2

    When I got the two drop-down lists in the same table, I've not had a problem. The code I used is

    The table name is "table1".

    if (directorate.rawValue == '1')

    {

    division.clearItems ();

    division.addItem ("select" "")

    }

    I was asked to move things and now 'division' is located in 'Table2 '.

    I know that I need the "Table1" reference, but I'm running into a syntax error. I tried the following code;

    if (Table1 Row1 directorate.rawValue == '1')

    {

    division.clearItems ();

    division.addItem ("make a choice")

    }

    if (Table1.Row1.directorate.rawValue == '1')

    {

    division.clearItems ();

    division.addItem ("make a choice")

    }

    Any help would be appreciated

    You are missing a semicolon at the end of the line, addItem, and the second code example, you have no periods in the SOM (Table1 Row1 direction) reference.

    Can anyone help me please with my form of practice?  I'm just started learning make a fillable pdf form. I did my practical form modeled after the purchase order example provided with the installation of livecyle.  I want my table to automatically display the unit price when I select an item in the drop-down list.  I managed to do it using the script below.  The problem comes when I add my guard selection by returning to the first item on the drop-down list or on my first selection on the first row of lines. I would like to add something, the script below.  Help, please.

    menu.JPG

    RefreshmentOrderform.RefreshmentOrder.details.detail [0]. item::change - (JavaScript, client)

    unitprice.rawValue = this.boundItem (xfa.event.newText);

    unitprice.value = xfa.event.newText;

    Hello

    The problem you are having is because the ID of the drop-down list values are duplicated, if I choose cherry slice that get a 3 id (which is supposed to mean $3.00), but it is also the id of the Ambassador (as well as Brownies and coffee).  If similar problem with chocolate tarts going assorted Mini Cookies.

    If you keep the unique id.  At first, I thought that you must assign the id 1,2,3,4... and a search in the table for the price, but I liked your idea to keep it all in the drop-down menu control, so if you changed do so their unique, something like 1: 3. 00, 2:1. 50, 3:3. 00,... you could strip the part before the colon by changing your code change event;

    unitprice.rawValue = this.boundItem (xfa.event.newText).split(":") [1];

    That transforms the id in a table and takes the second element.

    In addition, there are a few errors in your form.  In Acrobat (or reader) you should turn on 'See the console on errors and messages', which is located under preferences... JavaScript.

    The second line in your change event causes a runtime error as the value property of a numeric field is its default value and to reference properly, you need to use.

    unitprice.value.oneOfChild.value

    But you do not have this line at all in this case.

    There is also a problem with the initialization script in numServiceChargerate, that looks like a problem of displacement of FormCalc in some parts of the JavaScript form in others, I would try and stick with one or the other.

    Good luck

  • Is it possible to create interactive drop-down lists that reference the tables on pages separate from the PDF?

    I'm looking to create a user to input PDF in the drop-down lists are used to search for tables, however, I'm not very familiar with the options that are available or if this is even possible?  Also, is it possible to write a substantive code that could read the text of the user entered to perform a search or even solve an equation? Can someone let me know if these elements are possible and/or let me know what adobe program may be required to accomplish these tasks? Thank you!

    PDF documents have no concept of "tables" as MS Word or MS Excel has. There is content that looks like a table.

    Acrobat JavaScript knows tables and form fields. So we could have a table in JavaScript and complete a series of fields that looks like a table. You can use JavaScript to find the table.

    JavaScript in Acrobat can accept user entries in the fields and pop-up windows.

    It is possible to solve theoretical equations the user if the good rating or coding is used.

  • Raising the event "output" from a drop-down list in all instances of a table row

    I have a drop-down list in a row of table with multiple instances that performs a calculation on the exit event. This calculation takes information from 2 other drop-down lists listed above not repetitive rows of the same table.

    The behavior desired is: If the user change their choices above, all instances of the drop-down list below to execute the "Exit" event script to access the new values above.

    My script is:

    RowOptionalCoverage.DdlCoverageType.execEvent ("exit");     It works, sort of

    It updates only the first instance of RowOptionalCoverage and any subsequent instances. The user can 'Tab' through instances and trigger output for each instance event, but this isn't a reasonable solution.

    I tried using the method resolveNodes without success. I understand, using the method resolveNodes may be required when you reference multiple instances of an object:

    this.resolveNodes ("RowOptionalCoverage [*]. DdlCoverageType [*] ") .execEvent ("exit");"     does not work

    xfa.resolveNodes ("RowOptionalCoverage [*]. DdlCoverageType [*] ") .execEvent ("exit");"      does not work

    No doubt, I have to be incorrectly using the resolveNodes or rate something? Probably something simple.

    All the tips are greatly appreciated.

    Stephen

    Hello Stephen,

    You need to loop through each instance of the line and force the exit event. Without the form, it should look like:

    var oRows = xfa.resolveNodes ("RowOptionalCoverage [*]");
    oNodes var = oRows.length;

    for (var i = 0; i)< onodes;="">
    {
    xfa.resolveNode ("RowOptionalCoverage [" + i + "]"). DdlCoverageType.execEvent ("exit");
    }

    You could also index table to determine the number of row repeat:

    var oNodes = RowOptionalCoverage.instanceManager.count;

    You may change this to make it work.

    Good luck

  • How the auto fill a field based on the drop-down list unless the specific item is selected

    Hi all

    My apologies if I posted this in in the wrong place, but I am new to these forums, JavaScript and Adobe LiveCycle.

    I am trying to build a form using LiveCycle Acrobat but have problems with the drop-down lists.

    Inititaly I just wanted to fill in the fields in a table based on a matching menu selection dropdown in another table.

    I used the following code and it worked fine:

    Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails.Row4.Cell1::change - (JavaScript, client)

    fFrom var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1');

    OTF var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table2.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1");

    for (var i = 0; i < = fFrom.length - 1; i ++) {}

    fTo.item (i) .rawValue = fFrom.item (i) .boundItem (xfa.event.newText);

    }

    The problem is that now I want the code above works UNLESS one of the items in the drop-down list is enabled specifically in this case, I want the text box in the other table to display a message such as "Details of the entry in the field below.

    I tried to create an If Else statement using the following code:

    Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails.Row4.Cell1::change - (JavaScript, client)

    fFrom var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table1.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1');

    OTF var = xfa.resolveNodes ("Workbook.Content.Table2.Row3.AppropriationDetails [*]. Row4.cell1");

    for (var i = 0; i < = fFrom.length - 1; i ++) {}

    If (fFrom.item (i) .rawvalue = "Option 3") {}

    fTo.item (i) .rawValue = "enter the details in the field below.

    }

    else {}

    fTo.item (i) .rawValue = fFrom.item (i) .boundItem (xfa.event.newText);

    }

    }

    The code now filled the field with "Enter the details in the field below" any item I select in the drop-down list.

    Your help is greatly appreciated.

    See you soon,.

    Hello

    You use .rawValue in the change event. This will cause problems because the selection of the users has not received .rawValue from the drop-down list at the time when the change event is triggered.

    Move your script as it should to the output of the dropdown event.

    Hope that helps,

  • Showing and hiding of multiple tables with a drop-down list

    I'm doing a drop-down list so that users can select the number of tables that are shown/generated when they specify the tables how they need to complete (there is 1 table for each day of a multi = day, maximum of 5).

    I thought I would use a similar javascript than I used in another place on the form that has been applied to radio buttons to show or hide a specific table. When I applied that to the drop down and added more than lines that the scipt was ineffective, with some play that I managed to do the work, but now it seems thre is a question with which value is selected in the list. When a user selects a certain value, it shows the previous value (so when I chose 4 days, which has a hairy '3', the message box for the test proposed, I added told me I selected the value '2').

    I wonder if there is an easier way to do the function, what I'm doing, or if the drop down menu is the best solution? The maximum number of tables that can be filled is 5, then the drop down menu appears as a way ideal for resticting than for the person filling out the form.

    This is an example of writing, that I joined the drop-down list, as an action of "change." It is repeated 4 times for each value.

    Form1. Page2.DropDownList1::change - (JavaScript, client)

    If (this.value == '2') {}

    Form1. Page2.TableDay1.presence = "visible";

    Form1. Page2.TableDay2.presence = "visible";

    Form1. Page2.TableDay3.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page3.TableDay4.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page3.TableDay5.presence = 'hidden ';

    }

    else {}

    Form1. Page2.TableDay1.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page2.TableDay2.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page2.TableDay3.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page3.TableDay4.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page3.TableDay5.presence = 'hidden ';

    }

    If (this.value == '3') {}

    Form1. Page2.TableDay1.presence = "visible";

    Form1. Page2.TableDay2.presence = "visible";

    Form1. Page2.TableDay3.presence = "visible";

    Form1. Page3.TableDay4.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page3.TableDay5.presence = 'hidden ';

    }

    else {}

    Form1. Page2.TableDay1.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page2.TableDay2.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page2.TableDay3.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page3.TableDay4.presence = 'hidden ';

    Form1. Page3.TableDay5.presence = 'hidden ';

    }

    I looked at it and tried a few different things and my colleague who is much better than me with sciprting is also at a loss for now - he is unfamiliar with LiveCycle, unless I have so any help is appreciated. Thanks a lot once again as my last number (the script for radio buttons) has been resolved here. Thanks again.

    The question that you see with the value being off is due to the fact that you use the change event. The change event is triggered * before * the new value is assigned to the field. This event is commonly used for intercpet changes. If you wish to continue using the change event, you can get the new value with:

    xfa.event.newText;

    This, however, will get the text that is displayed instead of the value behind. No doubt, you can consult the nodes in the drop-down list to see what value, but I think you should just avoid all of this by adding your code to the layout event: each subform hideable... loan for example, for the first, in the case of TableDay2 layout_ready (as the day1 should never be hidden, as I understand it) put :

    This.Presence = (DropDownList1.rawValue > = 1)? "visible": "hidden";

    TableDay3 would be:

    This.Presence = (DropDownList1.rawValue > = 2)? "visible": "hidden";

    etc.

    Let me know if it helps.

  • Help: Autofill numbers in drop-down list to another table

    Hello world

    Does anyone know how to automatically fill in a table of the value of the other table, based on the selected menu drop-down on the main table.

    As you can see on my pictures, my main table, I have a drop down list, so I have to be able to automatically to the second table based on the category that I chose to put the quantity. For example, I choose LIFE, then the amount will also be the second table where the arrow is pointing. What will be the formula on the designated table?

    Thank you.

    Hello Adrian TitikTemu,.

  • Select the string table drop-down list box.

    Hi all

    I want to select the combo box list based on a string in the entry, I don't know how to do this. I have a drop-down list box and the value comes from a database, what I want to do is I want to change the value of the selected box based on the existing value in the database drop-down list. for example, A, B, C D I strings in the drop-down list box, and then in my database, I have a field with the string C, I want to change the C to A. I can't enter the value of C in a string format, but I don't know how to be the first position of the drop-down list box in so the order of channels combo box will be C, A, B, d., the value of C

    Thank you

    Then just write a new array of strings, with the elements of the new agenda, to the "[] strings" - property.

    Either you must code something that allows you to create an array of strings with the elements in the order that you want them to be. If there is a reorganization only, you could do something like:

    -Get the array of strings [] from the drop-down list using a property node box.

    -Find the position of the element you want to place first and use "delete from table", which returns the new array and the element removed.

    -Build a new table 1 d of the deleted item and table remaining. Move to the second combobox Strings [] property of a node property.

  • Prevent the specific Web site to store the user name in the drop-down list

    I have a site that I connect to frequently. Their home page has a login field. If I double-click on this area, it shows me several login names to automatically fill the area with. I want to prevent Firefox (or other) to remember those login names, for safety because of my personal paranoia.

    I'm using Firefox 49.0.2.

    • I added this site to my list of blocking Cookies. New Cookies are not displayed to the top, when I connect.
    • I do NOT have the connections stored for this site (they were removed and new not appear when I enter a name).
    • Firefox does NOT show me the dialog box "do you want to remember?
    • I removed each stored in AutoComplete list in this field by using the 'shift + Delete' keys to select and delete the headings that appear when I double click on the field.
    • The list that appears when I double click is NOT specific to this site... or rather, the entries in the list seem to come from almost any site that I connected. For example, I have deleted all entries in this site, I worry; I have then is come to Mozilla's Support forum and tried connecting; I had to try several times; all of these names that I used on the login field Mozilla now appear in the list for the original site.
    • Curiously... If I hit 'back' after typing my name (causing the site to go to the next page), the name that I typed in the field seems NOT to remember. However, if I click on the button "login" next to the field after you type a user name, the name seems to remember.
    • Even if I disable 'Remember connections... ". "in Firefox, UN I enter this field to remember.

    A screenshot is provided the field of seizure and the drop-down list of names (which I deleted several times).

    I turn off history form of Firefox, so I don't know if this is specific to the site (such as the saved connections) or could possible appear on all sites with a named field in a similar way, which seems a little odd.

    If you clear history of Firefox form feature, is the unwanted suggestion stop appearing? You can do this on the preferences page, Privacy panel:

    "3-bar" menu button (or Firefox) > Preferences

    In the left column, click on privacy. On the right side, if you do not see "conservation rules: use the custom settings for history" go ahead and make that choice.

    Then you can uncheck the box ' Remember search and form history.

    When you return to the site and reload the page, the suggestions disappear?

    I made a few changes in your application, added a transitional and populated with lov accessor and applied the filter on departmentid of this transitional

    Check it out, in the same way, that you can do for other attributes

    In fact I think that it is the default when you apply lov on certain attribute and then filter works in this way, or you enter the string full or just the value of the id

  • How to use spawning with a drop-down list and a table area

    Hello

    I have a form that I need to build pages.  As it is now, I have a table in document and a drop-down list box.  When a selection is made in the drop-down list box, the StateAmt field is filled with the table.  This set works fine now, but I need to be able to make this code work with pages having engineered and need a bit of help.

    It's my javascript document:

    var gState = new Array //Create a reference to a new array

    load the table with quantities for each State

    gState ['AL'] = 40

    gState ['AK'] = 40

    gState ["AR"] = 40

    gState ["z"] = 25

    gState ['CA'] = 25

    .. .and so on, I deleted the most to make the shorter script here

    It's my script custom shot to a combo box "gstate" (FYI, I've added the initials of the State in the tab options in combo box)

    var stateamt = this.getField ("G876. StateAmt')

    If (event.changeEx to gState)

    stateamt. Value = gState [event.changeEx]

    This works very well for one page, but when I add another page (model laid) nothing happens after you make a selection in the drop-down list box.  I don't know I need to edit the script due to spawning change the domain names on each page, but I don't know how.  I tried to rename the combo gState1 and using this script (which does not work)

    Fna var = event.target.name.split(".");

    var fp = fna.length > 1? "fna [0] +". ' ' + fna [1] + ". » : » « ;"

    var stateamt = this.getField(fp_+_"G876_StateAmt").name / / (this is G876. StateAmt in the original formula)

    var = this.getField(fp_+_"gState1").name //(this is gState GST on the original form)

    If (event.changeEx in GST)

    stateamt. Value = gst [event.changeEx]

    If anyone can help me with this, I would be very grateful.

    Thank you

    Lisa

    I fugured it myself. It works:

    Fna var = event.target.name.split(".");

    "var fp = fna.length > 1? fna [0] +". ' ' + fna [1] + ". » : » « ;"

    var stateamt = this.getField (fp + "G876_StateAmt")

    If (event.changeEx to gState)

    stateamt. Value = gState [event.changeEx]

    I didn't totally understand the script and trying to change the wrong part.  It is still using the gState table and I needed to change the text box to get the information in the table.

  • Fill the table drop-down lists?

    I read the discussion on this feature and created a sample form to test the code before implementing it in my main form, but I can't make it work.
