DSC - H55 too bright pictures

Hello and thank you guys for helping us newbies to fix our goodies.
I have a DSC - H55, which is fabulous, but a few weeks ago the photos began to show LOTS of light! Even with VERY little lighting photo would look too clear! Until you can barely see what are the
The strange thing is that, on the LCD screen, it would be perfect! The video with lots of light comes out great! Zoom works, the dial works.
I adjusted the default settings and still nothing.
A most curious thing is that I tried the procedure of resetting, and Im not lie, I wanted than with battery power button for like 3 minutes and he wouldn't do it. (I guess that its supposed to ask for the date and time the bat right away since it restored everything, right?)

I hope that you can help this soul loss, I love my camera and I hope that I can get back to normal.

Thank you.

Thanks for your post Julian and welcome to the forums.

What priority mode are photos taken in? By the looks of the way you explain the pictures, they seem to be most at risk. are washed out image or simply too bright? What are the lighting conditions and the brightness of the environment that the photos are taken in? You should check that your EV levels and shutter and ISO speeds. • Using the functionality of Panorama on the DSC - H55

What is the best technique to use the functionality of panorama Cybershot DSC - H55, press and hold down the button while slowly following the arrow or press and release the button? Move from L to R very slowly or quickly?

HI, you have limited play with the speed as you move the camera a little to get used to the speed. I know it sounds strange, but it takes a little getting used to for you to know how fast to move it to. If you move too slow or too fast, you will not receive either the scene or the camera will tell you to slow down. If you can't move the camera through any matter within the time limit, a grey zone occurs in the composite image. In this case, go faster the camera to record a complete panoramic image.

To take the panorama photo, you can press the button all the way down and release, then move the camera in the direction of the arrow. The camera records for about 7 seconds.

  • Satellite A210 - 11 p connected to the TV - the colors are too bright

Just changed to the top of an A60. I used a TV S-signal with one SCART and it worked fine.

Now on the new computer, the colors are too bright and washed out. I updated the driver but no luck.
In fact, I find the screen on the A210 way too bright and had to calm colors to factory settings.

    Does anyone else find this?

Any idea what the problem may be? I read the posts on the problems of black and white, but I have the color but too bright and washed out.
Wait I got an idea of what the TV has two euroconnectors... on the second SCART, the image is black and white!

How is it it worked well on the old A60. I'm really starting to miss that laptop. :(

I have an A210 and I don t think that the screen is too bright.
Fact is that some of the A210 notebooks are equipped with the real bright screen. This is a new display technology and it s great.
I like it much better as common display without the true light.

On my laptop satellite A210 colors are light and not washed out them. The display is perfect

One question; have you noticed the same problem on the internal and external monitor or TV?

    > Waiting I have an idea of what the TV has two euroconnectors... on the second SCART, the image is black and white!
Several months ago, I connected a laptop to my TV and the picture was black and white. The reason for this problem has been the assignment of pins badly on SCART cable then.
On the other hand, it is possible that your s-video option was not enabled on the TV's.

  • Colors in Windows 7 too bright/faded after running Windows Update for the first time (everything was going well after initial installation). See the details.

I just installed Windows 7 Pro on a HP Pavilion with a HP w2007 20 ". I have had no problem of color first and everything worked fine. The first time I ran Windows Update, it included an optional update called "HP - display - HP w2007 LCD wide screen". That the update "has failed" to install and when I rebooted, my screen had a look very 'neon' - my desktop background, a picture of a tree with a bunch of Red leaves, was very washed out and now most of the leaves were bright red with no visible details. This is obvious everywhere, not only my desktop background (another example... small green circles next to the names of Gmail chat contacts are very bright green, more even than usual). Everything is too bright. I tried the following hotfixes:

-Manually reinstall the update of the HP screen (it worked this time) and restart - did not work.
-Reset my monitor to factory setting - has failed.
-Download and install the latest HP driver for this monitor - did not work.
-Through: "Control panel-> appearance and personalization-> display-> Calibrate color" and through an assistant color calibration (that's new for Windows 7?). Also, did not work.

I have the dual-boot of Ubuntu installed on this machine and I think the colors under Linux are always very well, so I think it's a problem with Windows and not the monitor. Because it was working fine before, I would rather try to get everything worked, rather than the update manually the brightness/contrast of my monitor. Any ideas?

A useful answer, I got on another forum (windows7forum.com). It worked:

    I had this problem too!

In my case it is also explained by a driver from Windows Update called "nVidia display".

Fortunately, I figured out how to fix it:

    1. Open Computer Management (start > right click on "Computer" > Manage)
    2. Select "Device Manager".
    3. Select 'show cards '.
    4. Right click 'NVIDIA GeForce 8600 GT' (or whatever your video card)
    5. Click 'properties '.
    6. Select the 'Drivers' tab
    7. Click on the button "return to the version.

  • Photos of airPlay on Apple TV look too bright

    Folds in salvation,

While all the video content crosses very well on my screen of 4 K TV, photos are coming across too bright, no matter what camera I use as a source (iMac, iPhone and iPad). No recommendation for this problem?

    Thank you.

You have not specified what generation TV you use, but it is not really important. I'm not aware of any solution that allows for "by app" brightness adjustment. The only source that you do not list iCloud photo library, but I doubt it would make a difference.

You might just find an acceptable compromise, or use one of the TV set pre-series (movies, sports, etc.) to switch to displaying photos.

  • 36 Firefox changes on ALL too bright and saturated colors.

Now I have 28, 33 and 36. All previous versions were the same and more accurate color. But, 36 makes all too bright and saturated. All pages. Even the icons of bookmark. Everything.

Something has changed. Could have changed at 34 or 35, I skipped those. but here in 36 is definitely a problem.

There is a new parameter, that I missed?

Appreciate your answers. It's hard to see.

    You can attach a screenshot?

    • Use a type of compressed as PNG or JPG image to save the screenshot
    • Make sure you do not exceed the maximum size of 1 MB

This may be due to a problem with the profile for your monitor screen colors or color profiles embedded in images.
Try disabling color management to test whether it is caused by a problem with color management.
You can set the pref gfx.color_management.mode to 0 on the topic: configuration page to disable color management.
You have to close and restart Firefox for the changes to take effect.

  • Satellite A660-18 - screen too bright if the update to the BIOS?

Hi guys, I need your help with this laptop because it gives me a lot of problems.

I changed the screen of this Satellite A660-18 because one had been installed has been damaged. I installed and works fine but I have problems with the brightness. When I click - on brightness, it goes back and when I click on + it breaks down. It is much too bright and want to do something about it.

Bios help to solve this problem and how Flash the BIOS on these laptops? I flashed the BIOS on desktop pc but on that I don't see any way to do it. Is it possible to fix the screen without changing the BIOS? Some have said that I have to Flash the BIOS as new screens do not work 100% with old BIOS.

    Help, please

    Thank you

    Hi sky blue,

You have an original spare part of Toshiba (display) or is it a 3rd party screen? It is important to use the Toshiba spare parts only because they are tested and designed for your Toshiba laptop. If you use 3rd party parts, they may not work.

The version of the BIOS has nothing to with the brightness of the display and the brightness of the display can be changed with the key FN + F6/F7 combination, but not in the BIOS.

I foolishly used my camcorder to the outside and the clips are too bright.  How can I change the contrast on each of them in Movie Maker?

Use the effects... Decrease brightness / contrast down.

Here are the steps to change all the clips on the timeline in a batch.

Drag all the clips on the timeline... switch to... See the table of Storyboard.

Reach... Edition / select all, or select an element and type... CTRL + A...

Make a right click the effect you want to add and choose... Add to storyboard table.

You can add up to 6 cases of an effect, but you need to left click
a clip and "select all"... or type... Time of .ach Ctrl + A...

It may take a little practice to master this, but it's easy once you see

  • Make colors become too bright and washed out after

Hi, so I am new to AE and Motion Graphics, and am currently a youtube video using simple animated graphics. My approach is this:

Save time and do not have to be constantly made on my animation film, after that every 10 seconds, I visited a mov quicktime and just re - import in my composition. However, after doing this about four times, I wanted to combine my four visits a video quicktime quicktime. So I thought I would import the four in a new composition and render out, but when I did, all the colors has become way too bright and washed out. Do not know what is happening. I use Quicktime with a MPEG - 4 Video Codec and also have millions of colors selected, but I'm not sure if that means anything. Once again, Im new to this, it's all jibberish just for me, but any help with the relevant card to get my colors to make normal would be great! Also if anyone has any experience with graphic animations in rendered simple movement, any advice would be great!

Yes. You only use compression when the very last and final step. Do not use AE either for this last and final step. Use Adobe Media Encoder. You can either send your AE comp to Adobe Media Encoder, or you can restore your intermediate codec to EI (to take advantage of multiprocessing in 2014 CC) and then put this final file into Adobe Media Encoder to make your deliverables. There are advantages and disadvantages to both methods.

  • Too bright camera raw images

When I open and work with the images in camera raw, they are too bright.  Simply, this has started to happen on a week ago (I also went for a week, so he may have had a problem 2 weeks) if I meet a correct exposure in Camera Raw, they are much too dark in PhotoShop (all latest versions of CS6) on Windows 7 OS.

If this is not wrapped in Photoshop, the problem is in the chain of management display color on one of the two applications. Perhaps look at the histogram could say you which is correct.

Do you use a calibrator for your screen? If so, it re - run and try the different settings (including v2 not v4 and matrix not READ).

If this isn't the case, it is possible that you have received a defective display via Windows Update profile. This happens a lot. The easy way to check this is to configure sRGB as the default display profile in Windows color management.

Another possibility is a GPU problem. Try to disable it in preferences, in both applications (is available in ACR for CS6?)

You have to consider where to store images and catalogs as well as your backup procedure.

Your photos and catalogs are now on your laptop.

You can move your photos from wihin the Organizer files: use the left in mode files Panel and drag and drop folders (including their subfolders) to the new external drive. This is the same procedure as with the Explorer/finder. This makes the Organizer ensures that the path of the image files is updated in the catalog. You can have the part of your library in your laptop and the other in the external hard drive.

You can also move your catalogs on the external hard drive from the Catalog Manager.

If you want to move the catalogs and photos to Catalog Manager, you can also do so safely using the backup/restore procedure:

Using Backup, Restore to move the catalog | Organizer | Elements 6 or later version

About backups: you can use the built-in backup method or an external one as your cloud solution.

Photoshop Elements 6/7/8 frequently asked Questions (FAQ)

My advice is to make sure that your catalogs are included in your cloud backup solution AND backups oganizer periodicals. This is the only easy way to restore or move your library and catalogs if your laptop or SMT fail.

First, what type of file do you need?  If you are looking for the lossless quality then I suggest to export a file with Animation codec quicktime or some other lossless codec.  However, these types of files are huge and that they could not read on your desktop.  But if you go just to put this video on the internet, when you're finished with it then I would suggest starting with one of the Youtube or Vimeo H.264 presets and modify it to match your clip.  It is still not as good as the original, but you can't expect miracles when you work in SD and in exporting to H.264 format, which is a codec very first.  If you want to try to export Quicktime or AVI without loss, and then change the settings so that they get something like this:
