DSC-HX300

How can the lag time from when a picture is taken to hen the camers is ready for the next shot and the preview of the photo between the plans can be disabled?

Check in settings to see if there is an option to 'Preview' and which turns off. I can't remember the exact name, but have a look around.

If it is already disabled and you talk to take the blow for blow, which depends on the development. If this is the only home, what is probably happening is emphasis, you take the photo, press again the shutter button, it is re - focus, then take the picture.

You can try the burst mode so if you ever decide to take some quick shots in succession, you can just hold and it won't try to refocus and just take the shots or use autofocus AF - C continuous, so it always emphasizes and as soon as you press the shutter button, it will take the photo.

Good luck

  • "Revaluation" of DSC-HX9v DSC-HX300 or DSC-HX50 (v) request?

As some know, on my other thread, I'm considering upgrading my Sony DSC-HX9v for the HX300. However, because of the noise of the zoom during playback video, I'm still uncertain on the HX300 so now also considering HX50 (v). The main reason for the upgrade is the zoom.

Has anyone done a similar upgrade and may comment if the image quality is better or less the phot and video? I understand that the HX300 has more pixels on the sensor, but this does not always translate in the best picture. Also, I was informed that because of the increase in zoom, the goal is obviously more thick which can decrease the quality of the image.

    Any advice greatly appreciated. TIA

It is true that a large number of megapixels does not equal a better picture quality. There are many other factors that contribute to the quality of image, and each have their own strong points.

The HX300-DSC and DSC-HX50V essentially share the same 20.4 MP CMOS sensor. The DSC-HX300 has an objective Carl Zeiss, the longest zoom range and wider opening that is perfect for defocus background. The DSC-HX50V with a Sony G lens, more scene modes and a shoes Multi Interface allows you to set accessories and expand the creative possibilities with the camera.

The effective diameter of the lens doesn't have a direct effect of image quality. The size of the lens will depend on several factors including zooming capacity, number of elements and materials used in the construction, among others.

  • How can I change the size (in megabytes) of the photo, the camera takes?

My Sony DSC HX300 takes great pictures, but they are all recorded in the records of about 5-6 MB.  How can I change this so that the saved photo file is smaller?

    Thank you

    Rocky63 good day!

The size of the image determines the size of the image file is saved when you take a picture. The larger the image will be reproduced the more detail when the image is printed on paper large format. The larger the image, the images can be stored. You can change the size of the image by following the steps below.

Using the control buttons, press MENU (Image size still) desired size

The following table contains the size of the image available on the set of the images again.

  • HX200 or HX300

HX200 or the HX300 is one better than the other? I was told that the hx300 is not very good at full zoom. I'll buy one of these two. I own a DSC - H5 camera now and want a longer lens. Thank you

Here's a quick rundown of the specifications of the cameras you're looking at.

    DSC-HX200V on DSCHX300

    • smaller in size and weight
    • GPS function
    • 3D sweep panorama
    • optical zoom 30 x

    DSCHX300 on DSCHX200V

    • largest number of megapixels (20.4 vs 18.2 MP)
    • wide ISO range
    • multi-port USB (compatible with accessories, e.g. RM-VPR1 remote control)
    • scanning 360 degrees panorama
    • 50 x optical zoom

In terms of zoom capacity, the DSCHX300 has an advantage over the DSCHX200V. It has a greater angle of view and zoom more. The only time you will notice a decrease in the quality of the image is if you go beyond the scope of the optical zoom. You see the image 30 x in the DSCHX200V and more than 50 x in the DSCHX300, the camera will use the digital zoom and image quality starts declining.

  • My DSC Certificae signature is not displayed under the link "Your Cerificate" and only encryption is indicated.

I have a USB DSC(digital signature certificate) token, with the two 'encryption' & 'Signature' certificates downloaded into it.
Two certificates are visible in the middleware of my USB Token. As you watch the certificate under 'Advanced-> view certificates' and 'your certificate' tab, I don't see my "encryption certificate".
Why is my UBUNTU system not get two certificates.

The problem occurs with operating systems-
    1 UBUNTU LTS 12,04 32-bit edition
    2 MAC OS 10.8.4

However, the same token DSC works fine on my windows machine it is to say the two certificates are visible under the CertMgr-> personal tab.

Also, just to describe more, the DSC of the token provider and even works on some UBUNTU systems too.

  • Digital camera Sony DSC S-80 on USB connection fails

When I connect my camera DSC - S80 on the computer, it does not recognize the camera. If I connect the camera on another computer with Windows XP everything is ok. Who can help

    Hello Hans,.

If your camera comes with an installation CD, you must load this first and only connect your camera when asked to do so by the installation process. This will ensure that when your camera is connected the correct driver will be associated with it.

If you have connected your device first then the operting system must use the closest approximation for him and probably resulting in your camera photo was not recognized correctly.

  • The dsc-w710 camera can be used as a webcam

The w710 dsc can be shown directly on a computer for the photo or video capture screen?

Hi Paul-C! I understand that you want to use the DSC-W710 camera as a webcam. Unfortunately, this camera model has not a USB streaming feature. Once the device is connected to a computer via USB, it goes into data transfer mode and will not be able to save pictures or videos.

It may be possible to view a "live view" of what the camera is the view using audio/video connection. However, the computer may need to other components of an audio/video input, video capture card and software for recording. This may be an alternative, but still not guaranteed.

  • The file name change DSC?

Is it possible to change the name of files image of DSC to something else? I work with a pair of Sony, an a6000 and a NEX-6. When their number sequence matching, it's a pain to edit photos. With my Nikon DSLR, I am able to change the name. This prevents images from 2 different cameras, and if there is a camera problem, I immediately know that the camera has the problem.

DSC is synonymous with digital camera, which is the default file for the cameras as prefix suggests Caméra & Imaging Products Association. Some companies use a Variant, as DSCN of Nikon and FSCD of FujiFilm. And as you have already discovered, some allow you to change the prefix of the default file to something else. Unfortunately, Sony is not

  • Difference between DSC-HX400B DSC-HX400V

Anyone know the difference between HX400B DSC & DSC-HX400V

I don't know one main difference is the lens - 400B is just standard lens Sony, or whatever the goal is, while 400V is best quality objective Carl Zeiss

Also, the models of Sony with V means generally support GPS - not sure if it is.

    It's about the main differences.
