DSC with XML data type

Hello

Can someone explain to me what the difference is between the xml data type and the type of Document data in workbench? I would use the xml datatype in my DSC thinking that it's probably the best representation of an xml string. But I heard that the Document is more widely used and it can represent an entity xml as well. Is this good?

My ultimate goal is to write a DSC and use a type representing an xml string. I would like that the component.xml of the type for my input variables automatically be typed 'xml' or 'document' (whatever that I should use).

I tried to create variables of both types ("xml" and "document", lowercase d) and those who have passed in my DSC for inspection. The object passed are as follows:

XML: org.apache.xerces.dom.DocumentImpl

Document: com.adobe.idp.Document

But if I use one of these in my component.xml workbench is to type my variables as 'DocumentImpl' or 'Document '.

Any ideas?

Thanks in advance!

NIC

Yes. I am it would be showing the xml for the variable type, but it shows Document in both cases. But they are different. One is an org.w3c.dom.Document and the other is a com.adobe.idp.Document.

So I guess, try to use a title for this setting that reflects the nature of the variable you are trying to use.

Also, you can use the tag to put a little more explanation on the type of variable you want to use.

    Set your date as a hidden field (not shown) column. Create your item list with the names of day of varchar2. Create the list item as a base table field that accepts the values of text in the names of the days. On this area, create a when-validate-item trigger that translated the text into an actual date that it then uses to set the value of the real object of the base table.

  • Probable bug with decimal data type mapping in storage of XmlType relational object

    Hello

    I'm having a problem with what appears to be a bug me when Oracle creates the mapping object / relational schema for a data type "XSD: Decimal":

    I want to store geo codes 6 fractional digits, so I need to 3 digits to the left and 6 digits to the right of the decimal point.

    In the XSD data type restrictions, which would give me a 'fractionDigits' and a 'totalDigits' 9 6.

    Oracle must convert this number (9, 6).

    However, what Oracle made out that is a NUMBER (15.6)

    In order to get an Oracle to generate a NUMBER (9, 6), I need to qualify the 'totalDigits' 3, which is accepted by Oracle, but makes my schema invalid for virtually any other application XML, because it violates the official specs of XSD:

    http://www.w3.org/TR/xmlschema-2/#RF-fractionDigits:

    4.3.12.4 constraints on fractionDigits components of schema

    Schema component constraint: fractionDigits less than or equal to totalDigits

    It is an error for fractionDigits is greater than totalDigits.

    Is it possible to have the good totalDigits of 9 in my scheme and force the Oracle to translate that into NUMBER (9,6)?

    Maybe some attribute oraxdb I do not know yet?

    I'm surprised that this has not been found earlier.

    There was an announcement about this before, but he did not get the real answers:

    TotalDigits and fractionDigits to number conversion problem

    Here is my complete code example:

    -- Registering the schema
    BEGIN

    'http://localhost/decimaltest.xsd',
    '<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?>

      <xs:element name="dataTypeTests" oraxdb:SQLName="ZZZ_DATA_TYPE_TEST" oraxdb:SQLType="ZZZ_DATA_TYPE_TEST_TYPE" oraxdb:defaultTable="" oraxdb:tableProps="TABLESPACE CATALOG NOLOGGING" oraxdb:maintainDOM="false">

    </xs:schema>',
    gentables=>FALSE);
    end;

    describe ZZZ_DATA_TYPE_TEST_TYPE;

    -- Clean up

    begin
      DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.DELETESCHEMA(
      'http://localhost/decimaltest.xsd',
      DBMS_XMLSCHEMA.DELETE_CASCADE
      );
    end;
    /

    In the XSD data type restrictions, which would give me a 'fractionDigits' and a 'totalDigits' 9 6.

    Oracle must convert this number (9, 6).

    And that's where you're wrong.

    fractionDigits = 6 means at least 6 digits located to the right of the decimal point.

    This is different from the semantics of NUMBER (m, n), where n is exactly n fractional digits stored.

    123.456789 is a valid number by the XSD.

    123456789 is as valid a number, but of course it does not fit in a NUMBER (9.6).

    Oracle must create a NUMBER (15.6) to store any number of valid schema, it is a necessary condition.

    But this is not a sufficient condition: obviously, any number in a NUMBER (15.6) is not valid per the XSD, and this is where the schema validation occurs to enforce the constraints of two facets.

    Here are some examples:

    BEGIN

    DBMS_XMLSCHEMA. REGISTERSCHEMA)

    Your cluster of data type does not match your XML file. Fixed VI (LV version 2013) is attached. However, the file you posted seems to be a single element, not the entire file, so I can't verify that it works.

    If you have a previous version of LabVIEW, the cluster lacked a time stamp and had a cluster at the end which should be a string.

    Hello Experts,

    If a component af:inputText is bind with a field whose data type is Double I saw if I enter 12.0 in the text field, and then it changes automatically to 12. Another example: 12,010 turns into 12.01.

    My requirement is to maintain the value that it has been seized. But the validation client side of the field, that ADF provides by default, should be present. I mean that ADF throws the error message if I get 12a.01; as it is not a Double.

    How can I achieve this?

    Any pointer would be vary useful.

    JDeveloper version: 11.1.1.6.0

    No, what I mean is that if you keep the zeros on the right, the data type is not a Double.

    Once you save 12.010 and read it again, you will see zero residue. You would see only the zero if you or the other say the number still show for example 3 fraction digits or if you store the value as a string that will store the entry as is and use a regular expression validator to ensure that only valid numbers are entered.

    In the first case ever number has 3 digits of fraction for example 12-> 12.000 and 12.010-> 12.010

    In summary, you will need to decide which way to go. If the data type must be Double, then there is no zero leakage or you must use the minFractionDigits which will always use the zero leak until the number of spezified. If the does not like what you have to store strings.

  • Is there a way to access the HTML data as you can do with XML data?

    I am new to AS3 and I'm trying to figure out how to access HTML as you can with the XML data?

    HTML isn't XML, nor is the DOM supported as JavaScript does, so you'll have to go with the typical string operations. If it's on a website, you can use JavaScript to make the analysis of DOM for you in HTML via AJAX loading and working back and forth between JS<->As.

    Otherwise the Interior HAVE only, Regular Expressions are most useful for this. The HTML code in a viable XML structure analysis may be possible when it is not applying the same syntax rules it and is of a dynamic nature. For example, it is perfectly valid to put the content in a page that is not nested inside a tag, for example

    some paragraph

    Some text let only locked in the body. You need detect possible syntactic questions and manage all of them. Channel ops are much easier.

    Any specific markup? you have trouble to detect/work?

  • MessageTextInput element with the Data Type - Date

    I'm working on an extension customized using OAF in a region where there are a few things and one of them is a 'messageTextInput '.
    Here I put the Data Type as 'Date' so that the date selection dialog box is displayed for the user to select the date from.
    However, when the user selects the date in the date box, messageTextInput box fills with a date in the form ' 12.7.11"but I want the date appears as July 12, 2011.
    Can someone let me know how to achieve this.
