  I did my review on January 21, 2010 and expect an email from vmware same day after my review, as I had after all the other reviews. But there was no sign of such a. Then I did a search on communities and found that it was a normal thing.

  After a few days, I also put a mail that you did ask if I had checked as a PCV.

  just for a few days, I got a response from them with Collect my number and they also said that it will take 4-6 weeks to get my welcome kit.

  Don't worry, they will answer you.

• Turning of vcp 410 to vcp (4 + 1) 10

  I'm not in this situation and it is just a general question

  1] I now a vcp 410

  [2] I guess that in one year, vmware will return with the PCC 510

  [3] it is a similar situation, passing VCP 310 at vcp 410

  [4] using the previous example. Inorder to go to SC 510, would a person must follow additional courses or can provide directly to examination of the update?

• Interested in how all studies Techniques for VCP - 410

  I've been a lurker here for a long time avid but have just decided to post. I am a student at the VCP-410, but I'm in a quandary on how to do it. I have several Labs here at work and another at home and have been install ESX (i) from 3.5. I followed advice (very good site BTW) Scott, used the Forbes vReference cards, read notes and links to Simon Long on a daily basis. I even bought "Mastering Scott Lowe 4 vSphere (LEDGER). I'm up to speed, I think that on this.

  My question/problem is how / did you all go and study in this review? This isn't like any review IT I have studied before. You went through all 8 Sections and 'Master' each one before moving to the next or did you just go down the list of the EHR Architecture one by one? I labbed many things in no particular order, but that seems chaotic and for me, I like to order when I study. But with so many things to study and 17 pages of objectives, sometimes it seems that I will never get to the end.

  Then my next gripe is that I have a colleague who, for me at least, took the "easy way" and examined braindump documents ONLY (I won't give them this name tag) and now my boss gave him an opportunity that I think I could have done and as he has passed the examination in less than a month using this material and I still do. Of course, they let him go to the class and I didn't have that chance, but what. I wanted to know your thoughts on this as well

  I am sorry to be verbose in particular on my first post, but my intention is to LEARN the material does not STICK in. Thanks for listening. I look forward to any help that you all.

• 4 VMware can appear for examination VCP 5?

  I did VMware 4 training in 2011, last year, but I don't have time for her appearances in the review. but now I try to get the VCP certification so I can't review VCP5? or I have to first pass the VCP4?

  The only PVC, you can get is VCP 4 without taking other classes - the VCP 410 review is always offered by Pearson/view.

  Need help and tips from you all. I made a big mistake. I released today to the review of VMware VCP-410 and successful too. But now when I try to participate in mandatory training, I see that at the present time all the institutes offer training Vsphere 5. What can I do now? Do you mean that all my efforts to pass VCP-410 is a waste. Is there anyway / any where in India I can get training for VSphere 4.1 and not me certified.

• Take the first vcp 410 review then training for vsphere 4.1

  Hi all

  I have 5 years hands on experience in field of VMware. I want to take the first VCP 410 review and formal training.

  My doubts, it's if I passed the exam, should I expect at least some reports saying that you went into vcp 410 as it or what evidence should get after I took the vcp-410 exam (could possibly want someone attah sample report like that).

  Why I ask? because I'm going to a formal training through my company after two months before I finished the atleast certifiation will be added benefits for me in my customer to place as well in my professional career, also think that the next level of VMware certifications.

  You can meet the requirements of secure Channel in any order. So, first take the exam if you want, but as others have said you won't get a VCP, thus so you won't have no official recognition or paperwork VMware until you have taken the training as well.

  If you don't pass the test, I would recommend that you attend to the vSphere: Troubleshooting courses - it also qualifies for the VCP certification and should learn you a lot more than the vSphere: install configure manage course given your experience.

• Test of VCP-410-min/max 4.1 or 4.0 min/max?

  I'm about to take my VCP-410 test this week and I live in the United States.   I heard that the test may have 4.1 min/max questions and not 4.1 min/max.   Is - how accruate this?    What configs should study 4.0 or 4.1?   Thank you in advance.

  Hi Bob,

  The answer is simple - it makes no difference if you have studied the maximum rates of 4.0 or 4.1, VMware have reviewed each point under consideration for version 4.1, so you get the questions should have the same answer, regardless of the version. For others reading this thread, it is recommended to use the plan of most recent review as a guide and study of the current literature. Good luck

  I am a beginner and I would like to continue vcp - 410 (I have no idea on earlier platforms) I'm ready to buy servers to see the technology in action (end to end) on a budget. I ask you

  1 provide details on a budget home lab to realize all the features of the ESX 4 Server (also what is the difference betweent he vcenter and vsphere)

  2. I would like to play with the server/s before taking the test (features like vmotion and other features EXSi, excuse my ignorance)

  I have the VCP-410 exam with 456 as the pass mark. Of course makes me very happy, and after reading several posts, scores higher than 400 makes someone... what?

• Can I expect to consult vSphere 1 update of the VCP - 410 exam questions

  I have my VCP-410 exam tomorrow and am wondering about the question to know if I am likely to see changes in the review of the recent release of vSphere update 1.

  An example may be the fact that the PVSCSI is now supported by the boot floppies (windows 2003 / 2008) where as before it was not.

  I'll assume that 1 week after the release of these changes are likely to appear.  For future reference can someone VMware tell us how long after an update can we expect the review to take account of any change in software?

  We always try to maintain compatibility with the current versions of the product.  Which means that you can study the current documentation.  As Scott mentioned, we probably will not add new items immediately, but us correct inconsistencies with existing items.
