Passed the VCP 410 today

Hello world

Today, I erased VCP-410 exam with a score of 469...

Just to know if iam eligible for VCI...?

Thanks in advance

N.Ponpalani

Large partition, Bravo!

At the level of the VCI is 350, so you're comfortably above who get in touch with a local VATC, or VMware education to go further...

  • Passed the VCP-410 - now what?

I passed the VCP exam last week and I also took the VCP 4 RAIL 32 hours courses.  When should I expect to get my number of VCP and have my certification appear in my account?

    You´re welcome!

  • Passed the VCP-310 today: Challenging to say the least review

It took me about three months before feeling ready to book an exam with Pearson VIEW. I've never touched a VI3 product before but felt I couldn't miss this certification for my career.

The VCP - 310 exam is certainly more difficult that we tell CompTIA or Microsoft

One of the exhibition was not related to the subject of question (done on purpose!) It wasn't a matter of submission that I managed to reproduce the drawing of the part of the question with the stylus provided and wrapped in plastic of paper (the question was linked with the settings of firewall ports and the piece was bound to a schema pie of Resource Pool and actions).

I was stunned by some of the questions, I even though I spend time first review.

Review the answers in the end helped me to regain confidence, however.

The end result is a score of 93%.

Not only a practical knowledge of the underlying COMPUTER technology is required (Windows, Unix / Linux, Ethernet, TCP/IP, iSCSI SAN, FC, NFS, x 86 server hardware, troubleshooting, database connectivity, backup, high availability, disaster, continuity, permissions / roles...)

But a basic knowledge of other VMWare products are also required (server, workstation, player, Fusion, ACE, configuration of VMS and gOS...)

Hands on with the installation and set up Labs definitely helped me to build my confidence.

My advice is to start studying the tutorials install and configure VMware, and from there find information more specific related to VMware released a PDF file.

    All the best,

    Hi all

This is the first I heard talk about this issue, thank you for bringing it to our attention.  We will examine and address this deficiency.

  • Just passed the VCP-310... Then to the top of VCP4

    Hello

I just passed the VCP-310 exam... Yippee...

Can someone give me some advice on VCP4? I'm looking to take this exam in the next 3 weeks. I hear you get two shots at it for the price of one! Is this true? Not that I intend it fails on the 1st attempt, but it's a nice safety net

Bravo on the VCP3. There is a free re - take for VCP4 until the end of 2009, and also as a VCP3, you can get your VCP4 by submitting to the examination (no training required) until the end of 2009.

My blog and the web site contains all the VCP4 info that I have on...

  • Can I expect to consult vSphere 1 update of the VCP - 410 exam questions

I have my VCP-410 exam tomorrow and am wondering about the question to know if I am likely to see changes in the review of the recent release of vSphere update 1.

An example may be the fact that the PVSCSI is now supported by the boot floppies (windows 2003 / 2008) where as before it was not.

I'll assume that 1 week after the release of these changes are likely to appear.  For future reference can someone VMware tell us how long after an update can we expect the review to take account of any change in software?

    Hi all

We always try to maintain compatibility with the current versions of the product.  Which means that you can study the current documentation.  As Scott mentioned, we probably will not add new items immediately, but us correct inconsistencies with existing items.

    Kind regards

  • Finally, passed the VCP exam!

    Hey everybody

Just wanted to go and post the required post "I spent the VCP exam!  I finally took the test after 2 years of putting it off.  I took advantage of the promotional code VMware had a few months ago and took the test yesterday!  Now, I'm a PCV... w00t!

    -Leo

    Congratulations!

  • I passed my VCP-410

    Hi all

I finally had the time to study and spend today. My score was 300 on 356. How do others get scores in the 400? Y at - it a different scale depends on where take you the exam in the world (I did my test in Germany).

    Concerning

(Do not forget that you receive points you award points)

    Congratulations!

A perfect score would be 500.  So, I'm not sure how you got 300 on 356.  Although 300 is considered a passing grade.

  • The question after having passed the VCP 4 months after class

Yesterday, 12/23, I spent my VCP-310 on the first attempt after taking the class Fast Track V3.5 back in August ' 08. Big shout out to Mark Fei and David Johnston, who were the instructors for this category - thanks guys!

The review was almost at the same level as the level of difficulty, I waited - some of the questions that came I was not waited, but made more educated guess efforts... Still managed to achieve a score of 85%, which I am more than satisfied.

    A few questions...

    1. my VCP number seems to be an incremental number. Which does not indicate the number of candidates for the exam, or the number of people who have passed, or is it a somewhat random number?

    2. What's included with the welcome kit? I was a little disappointed to learn that it takes 6-8 weeks to get here. I was hoping to at least get some kind of recognition of VMware - as account information secure Channel being sent to me. Instead I asked him by e-mail.

    3. can I I consider myself as a secure Channel now, or I have to wait for the welcome kit to make it official?

Thank you and Happy holidays everyone!

All first off the coast of congratulations for joining the world ever-increasing VCPs!

    1. my VCP number seems to be an incremental number. Which does not indicate the number of candidates for the exam, or the number of people who have passed, or is it a somewhat random number?

Yes it is progressive but over the years, that VMware has ju, ped in the sequence is not good indication of County VCP - last article I saw said 20000 + VCPs worldwide

    2. What's included with the welcome kit? I was a little disappointed to learn that it takes 6-8 weeks to get here. I was hoping to at least get some kind of recognition of VMware - as account information secure Channel being sent to me. Instead I asked him by e-mail.

I know it's disappointing, but you said approaching the right way - they will provide this information for you.

    3. can I I consider myself as a secure Channel now, or I have to wait for the welcome kit to make it official?

    Yes you can-

  • Passed the VCP

After the VI3, Secure design, Analyze I studied for 2 months and spent with an 86 on my first shot. Does anyone know how long it was taken from VMware to send certification documents?  I read a few posts where people have trouble with VMware by recognizing the route they took.  Should I wait or communicate with them to make sure they have all the information they need?

    Thank you

    Tony

Congratulations and welcome to the world of ever-increasing VCPs! The standard line for the delivery of the welcome package was 6-8 weeks. Has been the journey through a VATC, or directly from VMware? Anyway, you should be fine, but if you're worried you can drop a line to [email protected] with your course informaiton.

  • Passed the VCP - 310 test yesterday

Wow!  Whoda' thunk that a test of multiple guess would be otherwise exhausting?  I've used several resources, not the least of which were the guides VMWare config max and especially my VI3 install/config alms and even some material retrieved on the Internet.  We have an environment VI3 here at work and I'm good enough admin it so that was a bonus.  Scored a 86% and thought, I actually did worse, so happy-happy-joy - will now wait for the VMWare site update, I guess. I heard about 30 days...?  And wait for my package in the mail...

Helluva test and I have tested and passed CCNA (1.0) and although a few MS CERT (MCP, MCDST) so I know a little on the certification tests.

    Kevin

    Congratulations!

You should receive you kits home by mail within 4 to 6 weeks.   If you have any questions please contact [email protected]

  • Taking the VCP 410 review at VMworld 2010?

    Hello

Was just curious to know if the VCP410 exam will be offered at the VMworld this year. If that is the case, how do job listings for that and is the same cost to take normally?

    Thank you!

Http://www.pearsonvue.com/VMware/VMworld/ is perhaps what you are looking for.

  • Passed VCP-310 today... and now?

    Hi all,

I just passed the VCP-310 today (at the second shot for me) now I think to upgrade my VCP to Vsphere. I know that if I don't take the exam in 2009, I have to follow the course of "what's new". I see that the course can also be self-paced format, I would ask you if this course, after 2009, is ok for the certification.

    Thank you

The rhythm what's new course is not the same course in the classroom or Live online.

If expect 2010 before to do anything else, finished the course individualized on top of your VCP3 you will qualify for the VCP4 certification, only courses in the classroom or live - online would do that.

  • Still awaiting to hear from VMware after taking the training and pass the exam.

    Hello

I took the training on February 1 (VMware vSphere: install, configure, manage) and passed the VCP - 410 exam on February 8, but have not yet heard of VMware.  :_|

Is it normal that it takes a long time? I am supposed to receive an e-mail to confirm my VCP status, right?  ?:|

    Thank you.

The status on the website of Pearson view should say that the review was a 'pass', you won't hear anything from VMware, until you receive your welcome kit VCP in post/mail and your Workstation 7 license by email - you should get those in the next 4-6 weeks... Bravo

    Scott.

  • Take the first vcp 410 review then training for vsphere 4.1

    Hi all

I have 5 years hands on experience in field of VMware. I want to take the first VCP 410 review and formal training.

My doubts, it's if I passed the exam, should I expect at least some reports saying that you went into vcp 410 as it or what evidence should get after I took the vcp-410 exam (could possibly want someone attah sample report like that).

Why I ask? because I'm going to a formal training through my company after two months before I finished the atleast certifiation will be added benefits for me in my customer to place as well in my professional career, also think that the next level of VMware certifications.

Thank you for your response in advance.

You can meet the requirements of secure Channel in any order. So, first take the exam if you want, but as others have said you won't get a VCP, thus so you won't have no official recognition or paperwork VMware until you have taken the training as well.

If you don't pass the test, I would recommend that you attend to the vSphere: Troubleshooting courses - it also qualifies for the VCP certification and should learn you a lot more than the vSphere: install configure manage course given your experience.
