  • Try to buy a Macbook pro for first. But running into problems

OK long story short, I'm a student at Ithaca College edition. I need to buy a mac book pro, so I can edit from home, rather than rely on the school computer labs.

I'm looking on the apple site. The macbook 13 inch pro without screen retina can be customized and updated (which I intend to do) to include:

    2.9GHz dual - core Intel Core i7

    8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3 SDRAM

128 GB Solid State Drive (I will also buy an external hard drive that is capable of love at first sight)

The problem is that the 13 inches comes with a graphics card Intel HD Graphics 4000 and it cannot be upgraded.

I don't want to move to the other macbook pro that come with the Intel Graphics Iris because I need an external drive and it's a pain to carry to school every day.

All the other posts I think this subject are language tech it's way over my head. Will be this intel hd 4000 graphics card work with all video effects in first pro or not?

Mac technical support will tell me what I want to hear for me to buy, support chat adobe does not help and phone support is non-existent with adobe. Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance

    -Sean

While I am not currently on a MacBook, I'm running the Intel Graphics 4000. I say yes, they will do what you need first, it works very well for me. But do not expect something amazing out of them, they are not nearly as powerful as the cradle of Iris personally, I would say go to a bigger MacBook Pro, if you're going to carry an external SSD, then you would probably go to a larger storage and exchange the realization of the disc to a hard drive.

  • Cannot run Dungeon Siege have Vista

I have loaded Dungeon Siege on my laptop which is less then a year old and has Windows Vista.  I tried to run the game and got the error message.  He was loaded on an old computer with Windows XP and ran / plays very well.

    Hi momebear,

What is the exact error message with a specific error code?

There are two versions that are not compatible with Windows Vista.

1 dungeon Siege 2: Broken World
2 dungeon Siege: Legends Of Aranna (Publisher: Take-Two Interactive)

You mentioned that she worked with Windows XP. Try to run the game in Windows XP compatibility mode.

  • Issue of Dungeon Siege Exception ATLCOMHelper

I got Dungeon Siege on my last install of Windows Vista x 64, but now he gives me this dialog of Exception ATLCOMHelper with only the option press OK. This box reapears about 10 to 20 times before it tells me to insert a CD, which is already in the drive. I have activated administrative rights, disabled Visual themes, took control of the installation folder, changed the installation folder, run in compatibility mode and reinstalled several times before coming to the conclusion that I had no idea how to solve this problem. However, before you reformat, it was probably the only game that would not break and now it seems that it does not start, so I know it is compatible, in certain circumstances.

Curiously, I tried something that completely different and it worked. The solution with the exception of ATLCOMHelper must not run it as an administrator. I was connected the administrator account at first, but once I'm logged into an account standard, on xp compatibility, and disabled Visual themes, the game worked. I'll see if one of your suggestion gets to work as an administrator if. I can't understand this.

  • Error: "there was a disk error when you write to the file C\:Program files (x 86) \microsoft games\dungeon siege\resources\objects.dsres" during the installation of Dungeon Siege.

When I try to install it it comes up with an error about 16% in the installation, saying that there is a disk error when you write to the file C\:Program files (x 86) \microsoft games\dungeon siege\resources\objects.dsres

    Any ideas?

    Hi MouseToe,

What version of Dungeon Siege you trying to install?

The cause of this problem could be the corrupted resource (.dsres) file or disk error. Here are some things you can do to solve the problem.

Method 1: Run the disk check.

Check the integrity of your hard disk for lost clusters and errors.

To do this, follow the steps in this article: check a drive for errors

Method 2: Defragment the hard disk.

This improves the performance of your hard drive.

Reference: improve performance by defragmenting your hard drive

Method 3: Run the game as administrator.

    Here's how:

    (a) right click on the game configuration file.

    (b) choose 'Run as administrator'.

Method 4: Try to install the game in a different folder or to a different drive

Try to install the game in a different folder. If the computer has another hard disk, try to install the game on the other hard drive.

    Follow these steps.

    a. Insert the game disc in the drive.

Note: Do not click on Quick Installation during installation.

    b. follow the setting menus until you see the change button.

    c. click change.

    d. in the path box, delete the existing path, and then type the following text:

    drive: \Program Files\Microsoftgame name Games\

In this example, drive is the letter of the hard disk drive and the name of the game is the name of the game you are trying to install.

    e. click OK when finished.

    f. follow the instructions that appear on the screen to install the game.

    This should be it.

  • Dungeon Siege recording is not on Windows Vista

Dungeon Siege charge and plays well, I saved and quit after about two hours of play.  When I went back play he says that he has no saved.  Happened also with the game Spore.  They play very well, but why won't save games?

Try, right click on the game shortcut and select "Run as Administrator". Try to save the game. Exit the game and run it again. Try to load your backups. If everything works OK now, then it is clear that there problem with permissions of game saves folder. Microsoft Student Partner

  • Dungeon Siege 2 - Windows 7 - cannot host

I am running Windows 7, trying to host a LAN of Dungeon Siege 2 game with the second computer (Windows XP), we see very well between them, but once I have the beginning of the game, I get but the second computer does not work. However, when the computer (XP) secondary hosts, I'm able to join and we can play without a problem but I would really be the only accommodation in the game since I have more RAM and faster machine. I use a linksys router and I enabled UPnP after reading some suggestions on the internet about who has also ensured that upnp was running on the XP machine. I also disabled the firewall on both computers. I even checked the incoming, and outgoing ports to make sure that the DS2 is allowed. Windows 7 is still very new to me so if there is something more, that I need to set up I could sure use the help :)

I feel like a fool because I had not installed the patch (v2.0, v2.2) that the problem was solved. I hang my head in shame. Thanks for responding.

  • How do Dungeon Siege (game) still does not work?

I found this discussion (link below), but as many people (including some noted it here), this solution DOES NOT WORK for me.  I get "Exception caught Gathering exception data [this can take several minutes]" as the error with a black screen.  And I could wait 3 hours and still nothing happen.  I receive as messages "this program is not compatible", which indicates that she has not been fixed or patched in any measure.  I use the "Xplosive" 3 CD pack published by guess who?  Microsoft.   It seems suspicious that many games Windows XP works fine, but those published by Microsoft does not work.  Isn't a little backwards?

You can do all sorts of apologist excuses like "it is an old game and no one cares", but if nobody cares, so why people keep posting questions here and anywhere online?  I think you're all just try to shut us up.  And why... for what?  You may think that I'm just a cheapskate.  I'm not just be cheap, I enjoy this game and want to play again.  It's like a song.  If you insist that I ever listen to 'Sail Away' of Styx again just because it is old?  I bought it is game with a lot of money in good faith and I expect to work.  Really, it will cost you a whopping hours of your development time for a post patch.  I have no pity for you and Yes, you can bill me (better yet, when you come out with a new version of windows, just me to pay for a "maint game package" which covers your expenses, as I said, I'm not cheap, I like just the old games).

If you decide to publish something, then you have a responsibility.  But giving someone something and then taking it are a sure way to frustrate and annoy your users and make people angry. That's why I have no shame to be really angry and frustrated, it's how I feel in this situation.  Only one unreasonable and illogical would be satisfied with this.

That said, if someone has a different suggestion outside (because it does not work for me on Windows 7 and is not enough anyway because he keeps the messages "this game is not compatible")... Please respond and make the suggestion...

As noted, the above link leads to a '' correction '' that does not work for me or another poster in this thread.  As well, "compatible" message did not go for anyone no matter what you do.  Actually, I have a Windows 95 laptop I keep for all of these emergencies.  It is ridiculous to have to use it for this purpose but it seems that Microsoft prefers I should do instead of using Windows 7 or something more modern.  Ok then.

    Hello

Please contact the Microsoft Community forums.

Looks like you are unable to play 'Dungeon Siege legends of ARANNA', he says that it is not compatible with the operating system.

    1. have you recently upgraded the operating system?

    2. who is the operation in which the game worked fine before?

This seems to be a known issue with the Windows 8 and Windows 7.

However, you can try to run the game in Windows XP SP3 compatibility mode and check.

Please follow these steps to install the game in compatibility mode.

    a. right-click right the installer from the installation file and select Properties and then tap or click on the compatibility tab.
