Hi all

We are facing a problem where we are given only 1 instance OBIEE to test.

I need to connect to DEV and a test instance.

I think an option where I'll duplicate the area in question and to create a new domain.

For example:-my current topic is "reports of shipping."

"I rename that ' Shiment DEV report" and duplicate to create a new topic (as well as the economic and physical model layer both) "shipment report UAT.

"Now, I want to ' Shiment DEV report ' based DEV and"Send report UAT"to UAT database.

Is it possible and feasible?

Any other idea of shortcut is also welcome. I tried the merge to RPD, but instead to create domain 2, admin is canned only 1 domain.

I want to duplicate the existing domain.

Appreciate the input

Take a copy of RPD existing call as A.rpd and the basis of one's base.rpd

in A.rpd, rename the physical layer then layer MDB and the presentation layer

and make connection point Test environment settings.

Save it and keep open the A.rpd

With the help of different open Admintool base.rpd

Copy the contents of the physical layer of A.rpd by using CTRL + C

base.rpd click on the physical layer and paste, then save with no consistency

Do the same for each MDB and presentation

at the end except + consistency

host, mark this as correct and have fun

  • Content categories to cause duplicate topics?

    Hello, I write documentation for a major software package.

    There are several different versions of the software being sold - the basic version is not certain features that are available in the premium version.

    I decided to create content for my release of AirHelp categories, each representing different software.  In this way, users with the basic version of the program will see topics on the feature in their version, while those with the full package can use another category of content and see all topics related to their version.

    So, for the test, I have three categories of content: input, mid-level and premium - I'll call them A, B and C respectively.

    B contains all subjects, but a few additional ones.  C contains all subjects and most of the subjects of B, but a few unique ones.  In addition, B has some issues that are not in C.

    I am able to implement successfully using conditional compilation tags, however, I find that when I build the exit, RoboHelp is duplicate topics included in each content category.  For example, all subjects (about 20 MB worth of content) are copied for categories B and C.

    Duplication is causing the size of my documentation almost tripled (from 25 MB to more than 70 MB!), because all subjects are copied in categories B and C and so on.

    It sounds ridiculous and a terrible waste of space! Is this the correct behavior or I do something wrong? I can't force users who auto-update to download three times the volume of the documentation, just so that they can have categories of content!

    This is how it works in version 9 If you use the feature of content category. Each category you set will have copies of the subjects inside. At least that is my understanding of it is.

    You might consider submitting a feature request to ask for a change of behavior.

  • Creating recovery discs - HP Pavilion 17 - I am a novice at this and really need support

    I downloaded information and directions to do this procedure on the HP site.  I have a few questions to clarify some of my concerns.

    1 using the dvd - recordable dvd is the same as you would use to burn videos or other?

    2. I learned later that this procedure should be done just after I bought the computer.  The only information I have on my PC are my emails.  I have not bought any software. Just got the things installed at the factory.  My question about this is in the article that says it will save all the software, but you can save the software to a system image using windows 8 to create a system image. I have instructions to do but ned opions on the question of whether I should just do to only my e-mail of files) or do it for the drivers, windows, programs, system settings files:.  It also shows the following which is very confusing to me that the HP recovery restores the image of the software in its original state.  Any software that is installed later is deleted when you perform a recovery of HP.  Does that mean if I do the first HP recoveering I lose my emails as well as bar favorites that I created to facilitate the connection to important websites without having to type in the address.  It was created for me and is installed with the screen of my provider verizon internet.

    3. I have an ALERT noting this update of windows 8 crashes 12% 13% 14% or 15%.  This alert has appeared on the results of product warranty HP detection/HP site and also another site that I don't remember.  What does that mean?  I don't know if I'm supposed to do something.

    I really need your help and your advice on how I should proceed on the above problems.

    4 USB Flash drive - I have no idea what it is but I have instructions for the use of this procedure for creating recovery image on using flash player and it's faster than a DVD.  Is the ddrive USB flash something that I have to buy, it's expensive and my PC has the ability to use this process? Your laptop has Betacam do recovery on USB - but in reality this process gives owners more trouble than DVDs. Several times resulting in the purchase of several flash drives before finding one that works. My advice-stck with DVD.

  • I hate SYSAUX being too big!

    I noticed that my SYSAUX tablespace in my 11 GR 2 database has grown rapidly to nearly 10 GB.

    The following are the main culprits in the tablespace containing nearly half of the space
    SYS. WRI$ _OPTSTAT_HISTHEAD_HISTORY
    SYS. I_WRI$ _OPTSTAT_HH_OBJ_ICOL_ST
    SYS. I_WRI$ _OPTSTAT_HH_ST

    I have seen various articles and hits on these tables

    Q1. What they are - I think they're to do with collection of statistics (by what - AWR, CBO etc?)

    Q2. How long have they been around - there is a problem with 11 GR 2 or they exist since longer than that?

    Q3. I think that you can change the retention period, thereby reducing the amount that goes into these tables - is that correct?

    Q4. In my view, there is a way to serve these tables and then use a move effectively reduce them?

    Q5. NOW, THE MOST IMPORTANT QUESTION - If you can clear then reduce these tables, is it then possible to reduce the data behind the SYSAUX tablespace file - I desperately need to get the data file below 6 GB (order to tar it on my unix platform).

    From memory I think there may be problems of shrinkage datafile back under a high water line (even if the data have been removed until this brand)?

    If the shrinkage is out of the question - how can I rebuild the SYSAUX tablespace to consistent from a number of small data files

  • 11g connects to SQL server... character display problems

    OS: redhat 5.5

    There is a problem during display of character with sqlplus and even worse on TOAD, SQL Developer tool.

    There is a heterogeneous connection between 11g and ms sql serever. I use freedts, unixodbc and dg4odbc to connect.

  • R12: Copy a group of companies with configurations, metadata and data in the same instance of OA

    The idea was born to a very common condition between the companies IT. pre-sales and pro-ventes groups do various tasks, including the response of the RPF/RFI, PoC, building, Solution architecture, customer demo etc. Ususally they do not have the dedicated application instances, or rather they do not find a sufficient number of cases of applications dedicated to deep study of the road. Every other day a group cries out for an Apps instance and the same gets lift for senior management in short time. It gives a lot of pain to the infrastructure/DBA groups because they fail to meet people like them, due to the limited availability of free nodes, resources, networks and space etc.

    I have a Vision of the R12.1.3 (tell SID = VIS1213) installed on a Linux machine. The box is quite busy with his hearts limited, showing little free memory and the attached SAN has insufficient free space remaining. A group of Oracle Apps pre-sales consultants, says "Group 1", is the use of this.»

    Now the 3 other groups are asking for a R12.1.3 Vision instance separately for different reasons below. Each of them wants the instance again and do not share with others.

    Group 2 for deep study of the road against a critical response to RFP
    Group-3 for the development of a point of contact for a customer demo
    Group 4 for the manufacture of PUK media on some business processes

    In this scenario, I should install 3 distinct Vision of R12.1.3 (using CDs or downloaded zip) or clone VIS1213 in 3 different places with different SIDS, possibly on one or more separated nodes (as above Linux node has insufficient free resources). In this case, the need for available server resources and disk space multiplied by 3, so that DBA maintenance for these 3 new instances is added.

    Hope that I have clear air up to this point.

    Then I was thinking if we have "virtual instances" within an existing instance of Apps, by copying from a vertain org level. First I thought I'd take THE level, but it will not work if an instance of group to work with HRMS claims. We must therefore take business group level. After that we will create the appropriate role and responsibility, user profile options so that the new user can see and work on the new BG and data area down only. It will be like a separate instance to use.
    Benefits of my desired task will be

    -no separate server resource, the required network
    -no additional DBA not involved maintenance
    -no separate required backup plan

    So here it is to create 3 new "virtual instances" right within the same instance of VIS1213. New groups will have same URL, same existing TNS details but 3 credentials different existing access. Each of them would be limited in a way so that they can not see each and other data and can not hurt each and other changes.

    This can be achieved if we can copy an existing group of its activities with org structures, metadata and data, within the same instance. Oralce planning cannot be copied within the same instance configurations.

    What I've done so far was I manually created a new BG, attached an existing sobbing (CoA, Agenda / currency), created a new, copied and modified accounting structure flexfields before fixing, created the new ORGANIZATIONAL unit, and then a new InvOrg of master and a new InvOrg clild, defined the profile MO some GL and HR profiles. Then I extracted finished master and data assignment article category Masters against a master/child existing InvOrg, updated the data for newly created InvOrgs, inserted into tables insterface and ran seeded import conc program element. Except for a few, all data have been loaded into base against new InvOrgs tables.

    Then I tried with master provider (with sites and contacts). A few AP configurations are required, and then data provider (+ contact + site) have been loaded against OR newly created (under new BG) base tables.

    I do not proceed after that. I'm currently looking for ideas from the experts on how to go further.

    Planning is able to create this kind of 'virtual instance' within the same instance of OSTEOARTHRITIS?

  • Results of research doubles (RH HTML v10)

    RoboHelp HTML V10: The following problem occurs after Microsoft HTML Help generation and opening the file chm on my desk.  I go to the Search tab, enter the keyword, click News, and in the display list, there is a duplicate topic.  Let's say that I searched on 'computer '.  There are two areas of 'Computer' in the view of the topic.  When I click on the first "computer" to display the topic it displays the content of the topic perfectly. When I click on the second topic on the screen it says (in the heading window) "this program cannot display this Web page." I searched the topic throughout the project.  In the .hhc project folder, there is an instance, there are 4 references in the project .hhk file.  In the htm project folder, there is a reference.  How to find the reference in the draft which is originally the topic duplicate to display in the search results with the error message?  There is only one topic in the table of contents, and when I search the index there is also a single instance.  Thanks for any help you can provide.

    I use a query to generate a PDF report... my query looks like this:

    It works fine when there is a valid value for the MILEAGE and MILEAGE_RATE, but gives an error message when anyone of them is null... Please advice how to fix this

  • conversion of webhelp projects merged at chm

    A bit of history behind this issue.

    In this future role I was given a single HUGE webhelp project. Following the advice given on Grainge.org, I migrated the project huge, unmanageable in 13 sensitive, more small, the merged projects. All work tickety-boo, except that the new merged output is roughly double the size of the original project output.  I can live with that... it's because of duplicate topics, and I have a method in hand to reconcile the duplications as time permits.

    Now the question. Due to the size of the new merged webhelp and until I have time to reconcile the duplications, like developer colleagues using a variety of CHM. Aid is usually installed on the computers of our customers, but could be installed on the side server.

    So is my best alternative...

    (A) re - generate each of the 13 projects selected as a CHM file?  What worries me is that the merged whole help thing wouldn't work with this option? How to bind context-sensitive help in a compiled topic (currently I provide an XML map, which is called from the application)?

    (B) convert Robohelp output of CHM files?  Y at - it a freeware / shareware utility out there that everyone recommend?

    (C) thing that I didn't think?

    My understanding of cross project links is that they are very different from webhelp and CHMS. create a cross-project link to another CHM and you will see what I mean. There's something at the end of my merged topic help with RoboHelp 8.

    I know when others have contacted me to produce these two types of fusion, they eventually create two cross-project links and using conditional build tags.

    I skated by the thread so forgive me if this has been covered, but your developers really don't want put CHMS on a server. See http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/chm_mspatch/896358.htm

    I wonder if the developers don't like the number of cases in part because it seems more complex and partly because they still think the considerations of space and installation. If you measure by the clock rather than emotion, it is not really a problem. There are a lot of files, but all the very small.

    While webhelp can be run locally, you must check the option to display the mark of the Web and I think that may have problems with files PDF if your help related to one.

  • Topics in the ALI file duplicate

    I recently picked up a project that uses RoboHelp X 5, and I have a problem with double topics listed in the ALI file. For example, the topic named 'Add a product' has 2 following records in the file of ALI:

    Add_Product = Product/Add_Product.htm
    Add_Product1 = Product/Add_Product.htm

    This duplication has appeared most (but not all) of the subjects. Anyone know why this is happening or how I can fix this? Is it possible to remove duplicates in the ALI file or which will cause problems?

    I get a lot of duplicate in my printed documentation topics. I have a list of topics with no books that might be responsible. I generate a single document. Suggestions?

    The date on the model file is 10/04/2003. Curious and curious.   • Duplicate research topics

    I'm getting double subjects appearing in my search window.

    I read all the posts on this problem and found that if I compile in one folder higher than the project folder, the problem goes away.

    What I've read, it seems that it is because of me to have subjects that have a link on subjects in a place higher than my project folder.

    But I am not aware of having created these links. I have very few external links in my project and they all go to Web pages.

    Is it possible to look for the guilty link? Or the problem could be caused by something else?

    When you say 'top-level of the project folder' I think you mean the folder with the XPJ inside file.

  • Anyone know where the option 'Show duplicates' disappeared? I can't find it in iTunes 12.4 :(

    I have a large music library, but unfortunately contains many duplicates that I move slowly deleting. 12.4 installed and the option has disappeared from the view tab.

    No idea where it is, or has it been removed?

    It has been moved to the file > library menu.

    iTunes can create duplicates if the same content is added several times from outside the media folder when it is about to make copies of everything that is added to the library, or is added from an external drive that hosts the press kit that was disconnected during the launch of iTunes.

    Official notice of Apple on the duplicates is here: find and remove duplicates in your iTunes library. This is a manual process and article fails to explain some of the potential pitfalls such as the lost coast and membership of playlist, or sometimes the same file can be represented by multiple entries in the library as well as a removal and recycling the file will break all the others.

    Use display > show duplicate items (pre iTunes 12.4) or file > library > show duplicate items (post 12.4) then click on Same Album to display exact duplicates because it is normally a selection more useful. You must manually select all but one of each group to remove. Sort the list by Date added can make easier select appropriate tracks, but it works better when executed immediately after the dupes were created.  If you have several entries in iTunes connected to a same file on the disk hard then don't not send to trash.

    Use my DeDuper script (Windows only) If you are not sure, do not want to do it by hand, or want to maintain ratings, play counts and playlist membership. See this background thread , this post for detailed instructions and Please take note of the warning to back up your library before deduping.

    (If you don't see the menu bar press ALT to temporarily view or CTRL + B to keep displayed.)

    The latest version of the script can put away the dead links as long as there is at least a double live to merge his stats and membership of the playlist and must deal wisely when the same file has been added through multiple paths.

  • IPhoto import, duplicates Handeling

    I heard that when you import an iPhoto library in pictures, Photos provides assistance to the detection and removal of the photos in the iPhoto library double.

    Is this correct?

    If so, how does this work?

    I tried to search for this topic, but Apple did a great job naming their new photos Photos app you get only as 1 billion hits back of a simple search.

    1. you NEVER import a library - it doesn't work and creates a huge mess

    2 when you migrate an iPhoto library form the photos is not duplicate check - it migrates exactly what you have in iPhoto

    3. When you import pictures from the desktop or a camera it does not check if the duplicates

    4. you can buy controls duplicate programs - tested safe are - I suggest that you do not use an untested program because some of them damage or destroy your library
