dv2745se - problem! laptop starts with wireless off

I've read other discussions about similar issues, but I'm not having the same problem as most of the people. When Windows starts my wireless light stays orange/orange, even if it is on. However, I can turn off my wireless manually and then turn it to in turn blue and knit. It is still listed in devices when I start my computer.

The strange thing is when I restart my computer, Windows starts with the wireless work. However, the problem occurs only when the laptop is completely off and turned on and then later. I emailed HP Technical Support about the problem, but the steps that they have me pass by did not help.

mgriffin,

This may sound silly but often leave when people open their notebooks they are accidentally dragging the wireless switch.

This is not the case with you is?

I use an ASUS VW246H Panel as my main screen with my laptop Y560. Is it possible that I can do the default external display without having to activate manually each time, or close the lid?

I just solved my problem: with ATI Catalyst, I just had to open the lid of my laptop so that it recognized the laptop and external views. Then, I chose the option "Replace" on my external monitor, effectively making the value by default when it is plugged. Now, the laptop screen is always off when the external display is present.

    Hello

    Try the following.

Open windows control panel, open programs and features, right click on the entry for HP Wireless Assistant and select uninstall.

When this has completed, restart the laptop.

When windows has reloaded, download and reinstall HP Wireless Assistant from the link below.

  • Need urgent help is it you like G500 problems to start with corrupted Table GPT

I had some problems installing AVG antivirus software. I had to force quit.
After that. I am not able to start windows 8.1
I try with the rescue "Parted Magic" software, which comes with a utility called "Gparted".
This utility recognizes my hard drive but tells me there are a few problems with my GPT Table:

«/ dev/sda contains the signatures of TPG, indicating that she has a GPT table.»  However, it doesn't have a valid fake msdos partition table, as it should.  Maybe it has been altered - possibly by a program that does not include the GPT partition tables.  Or maybe you deleted the table GPT and are now using a msdos partition table.  What is a GPT partition table? »

So, I can not access my 'PartedMagic' data or start Windows 8.1

I guess the problem is that my GPT table is corrupted, but I do not know how to take the problem.

    Could someone give some advice?

Thank you in advance, I'm lost.

PD: with gdisk or gparted, I can access the GPT table:

    GParted:

    GDISK:

    Thanks for your attention neokenchi.

    I finally solved my problem.

GDisk I had only to write the table to disk (option w), and everything is back to normal.

I can't be sure, but I guess I must have been some problem with header the GPT and save to disk may have corrected the problem.

So, I hope this can help others in my situation.

It works exactly the same way as a wired keyboard. Restart your Mac and hold down the T or command + R on the keyboard.

  • My laptop starts to turn himself :(

    Hello

I have a HP Pavillion g series (Pavillion g6) computer running windows 7.

Recently, my laptop started to turn off when it is not plugged in. The battery is still generally about 30-40% (or if the battery icon says) when it shuts down completely.  It shuts down completely and when I try to restart it it starts black screen with "start in safe mode" or "start windows normally" etc. of the options.

It's really starting to frustrate me, and I've poured through from google and these forums to see if I can find something that could help but so far nothing.

    Any help gratefully received.

    Hello

Please, use the following instructions to check the battery:

  • Problem with laptop Pavilion dv6 wireless connection

I have a problem with a computer laptop dv6-6b50ea Pavilion of customers. He has win7 64 bit installed and an Intel Centrino WirelessN1030 with blutooth wireless card.

The user has used the laptop abroad with a 3G usb dongle with T-Mobile, but now wants to connect to his home wireless router.

Initially only the two switched 3g options are visible in the network for the connection options. Therefore, I uninstalled all T-Mobile software for control of the key usb 3g and removed the dial two profiles, but the laptop wouldn't see any wireless connection.

The orange light was on the f12 key and I couldn't get the wireless to work. Finally I found that even if it has been enabled in the HP connection manager, it has been disabled by Windows Mobility Center. I finally got the light turns white but still saw wireless networks while two other laptops could see the router in the same place.

I took the computer laptop and tried it on my own wireless network, and although he saw them he said that they were very poor and wouldn't connect. I tried all the normal things like turning off the antivirus and windows firewall. I've updated the software of the driver from the HP website, but it still wouldn't connect.

Finally, in desperation I disabled two virtual connections created by the driver. Finally he saw all my access points Wi - Fi including some a long way outside. I have is that it connects and thought that I had a crush, but restarting it would link is no longer. Since I brought the oldes driver I can find on the Intel site, updated twice by HP Support Assistant, who has updated the bios and installed the latest drivers intel, but it now not see any wireless network, or if it does sporadically and does not connect. Ethernet connection works fine.

I've seen lots of messages on mobile phones of series dv6000 with Wi - Fi and an overheating issues etc. What is the same thing with the dv6 6b50ea?

    Any suggestion would be appreciated

I had a very similar problem with Tablet Dell Latitude slate ST of my son.

He has the card brand Dell Atheros wireless bluetooth/wireless combo. He had connection problems in W7, but I was finally able to make it work most of the time.

I saw on the Dell forums, a lot of people complain about this card.

I installed W8 on the Tablet and there is no pilot, so I resorted to an old driver w7 and I can't get the map to work most of the time.

So, I ordered an Intel 6230 without wireless/bluetooth combo card for it and I'll see if it makes a difference.  Intel has W8 drivers for the card.

I did the same thing you did... inserted a map of the network, D - Link DWA-125 USB into the USB port.  W8 recognized, installed the drivers and it connects without any problems at all.

The difference between my situation and your is however that the 1030 Intel has no problems experienced with W7 link I know, that's why I suggested a factory reset to see if you can start from scratch and exclude a hardware malfunction.

If the card still does not work, then of course we should be replaced by a card support listed in the service manual.  Unlike Dell, with all computers laptops HP, you can install one of the maps in the service manual and they must have the part number HP on them or they do not work.

    Kind regards

  • Problems with wireless on Equium M70

Hi, I bought an Equium M70 2 weeks for use at home and I bought a Belkin wireless router to use with my broadband (blueyonder). When I arrived it is at home, I realized that the router wanted to connect my modem to my PC, but my PC is not a network adapter (modem is connected by USB). So I went on the Blueyonder site, and they said that I could connect using my cable box and their router. So, I bought the router to use with the set - top box. When I had last week, I plugged it up to the set - top box and the laptop found and connected with excellent signal strength. But when I went to use internet, it opens the pages. I set up the router manually but I always had the same problem, he picks up the wireless, but won't let me use internet.

Then yesterday, for some reason any he said "wireless turned off, please switch on ', even if I had not turned off. So I tried to put off and then on again, but no joy, I ended up having to do a system restore so that it can work. Now, I was looking on here to see if anyone else had the same problems, saw someone mention by pressing Fn + F8 to go wireless and bluetooth, so I pressed this thought, it can open something, and he says to me now I have to new switch wireless off (I tried pressing once again, but nothing happens also putting the switch wireless does not work)

    If anyone knows
a how to turn my wireless without doing a system restore.
b why I get a wireless connection, but cannot use the internet.

Any help would be much appreciated

    Hello Matt

I use the Belkin F5D7230-4 wireless router and everything works perfectly. Which one you have?

If you have the same or similar router, you can use a LAN and WLAN connection. You will find LAN port on the back of your laptop. If your router is configured correctly you should just use LAN cable, connect the unit to the router and start Internet explorer. As I have already said it will work only if the router is configured properly.

I use the PPPoE connection. On this path that the IP address will be given by the ISP and it must be defined on your laptop to automatically.

    (a) start the WLAN with antenna WLAN switch
-check if the wireless card is enabled in device or tool ConfigFree Manager

    (b) in my opinion you should check the settings of the router. If you want you can try to use the new Intel's WLAN driver. You can find it on http://downloadfinder.intel.com/scripts-df-external/Product_Filter.aspx?ProductID=1637&lang=eng

Your router be guess here, you have successfully updated the firmware a possible
solution? And I would update your WiFi drivers on computers. How far away are they
you have set in the router? Are there obstacles in the path?

Actually try updating your driver and disabling the network logon.

Control Panel - network - write down of the brand and the model of the Wifi - double click
top - tab of the driver - write version - click on update driver (can't do
nothing that MS is far behind the certification of drivers). Then right click on the Wifi
Device and UNINSTALL - Reboot - it will refresh the driver stack.

Look at the sites of the manufacturer for drivers - and the manufacturer of the device manually.

Download - SAVE - go where you put it - right click – RUN AS ADMIN.

You can download several at once however restart after the installation of each of them.

After watching the system Maker you can see the same device manufacturer
more recent versions. (Those become your fonts of rescue system manufacturer).

Repeat for network (NIC) card and is a good time to get the other update
Drivers Windows 8 like updated drivers.

  • Tired of the problems with wireless in El Capitan

Now before I type this I had the same EXACT issues with my Macbook Air and now they produce 11 "on my 15" Macbook Pro retina, material, it's an operating system is not matter because wireless worked well on Snow Leopard then began to occurring on the Mavericks and continued on El Capitan.

The wireless on my Macbook Pro constantly cutting... it shows as connected, but then you lose the ability to connect to Web sites, email, etc... and the only way to bring it back is to turn wireless off and on.  If it gets too bad then I do the old SCM controller reset (turn off laptop, then shift + ctrl + option + power for five seconds, then power up) which solves the problem for a day or two and then it happens all over again.  My other devices (iPhone, iPad) do not have this problem and are always connected wirelessly without a problem.

As I said I had the same issues on my Macbook Air and thought that maybe the Macbook Pro would be different, but obviously it has not been remedied in the Mavericks or El Capitan.  I certainly hope that Sierra solves this problem once and for all because I know there are a lot of other people in the same boat I am.  I love my Mac, and you saw my arm for me to get a Windows laptop.

Bettier not to expect an upgrade of the operating system to solve a common problem. I'm not having problems with a Wi - Fi on El Capitan.

If you have not yet tried, restart your modem router and internet Wi - Fi, and then restart your Mac (s) to test.

If this does not help, it may be that network preferences are corrupted.

Open the Finder. In the Finder menu bar, click go > go to folder

Type or copy paste the following text:

    / Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration

Click OK, and then move all files in the SystemConfiguration folder to the trash.

Restart your Mac. See if that makes a difference.

Your Mac will generate a new SystemConfiguration folder for you.
