  ERICO said to go ahead and uninstall HP Quick Start... which I did and then rebooted my system and now the sound buttons work again.

• Volume buttons on the keyboard no longer works

  Hello, the flight +/-and mute buttons have stopped working on my pavilion g7 1260ca running win7 home prem 64-bit.  All the other buttons do.  I tried closing down, remove the a/c, battery, press on reboot pwr - no luck.  I uninstalled the Quick Launch bar and had the HP site scan my system to detect missing software drivers and he said everything was fine.  I downloaded quick launch of this forum still no luck. Please indicate where I could confirm and install the correct QL for my laptop

  The feature of volume and mute should be provided by the audio driver, then try the following.

  Download IDT Audio Installer on the link below and save it in your downloads folder.

  One time finished, open windows control panel, open Device Manager and open sound, video and game controllers.  Right click on the IDT device and select uninstall - also, you should get a command prompt to delete the current driver, check the box allow this and then proceed to uninstall.

  When finished, restart the computer and let Windows load completely.  Open your download folder, right-click on the IDT Installer and select "Run as Administrator" to launch the installation.  Once done, restart the computer once more.

• Satellite A660 - 12 p multimedia keys no longer work

  Hey everybody,

  My laptop perfect running lately... well almost perfect.

  Not to mention that the volume buttons, the other multimedia buttons just above the keyboard no longer work. For example, my wireless is off, but I can't activate it more.

  Is there a way to fix this?

  Hmmmm... Open it please help Toshiba > Optimize > Toshiba HWSetup.
  You will find a tab called Settings button. Don't forget the called function buttons enabled.

  I have a cl dv7-1273.  Just changed from Vista Home Premium 64 for Windows 7 64.   Win 7 installed OK.  After you install the pad at the top of the keyboard no longer works in the dialogs like this.  When I entered the numbers here I had to use the keypad.  Keys still work in Word, Excel, Evernote, etc..

  Someone on the forum had the same problem of pad during the upgrade to win 8.  They solved the problem by uninstalling Comcast constant guard.   I removed a constant guard and now my keypad work.  Is there something in constant guard that is in conflict with the keys from HP laptop during upgrade to Win 7 or 8 Win.

  Try the keyboard on another Mac or PC. If it still fails, you know the keyboard is broken. You can also try the keyboard when it is started in recovery as a basic test mode. That will tell you if the keyboard works well when a single copy of the operating system is running without all your installed applications.

• Mark this shortened Page keyboard no longer works

  For some reason, mark it this Page (control-D on Mac) no longer works. I hit him, and nothing happens.   Have you installed Windows yourself? Some drivers Toshiba important may be missing.

  Probably nothing, it's probably a fluke. Try resetting the SMC and the PRAM by iMac Intel SCM and reset the PRAM. If this does not work, try a USB keyboard to test, if it works then your original keyboard has failed and must be replaced.

  The controls above the keyboard are controlled by added value package. I think something has confused by VAP so that you can t use controls more.
  Usually if you reinstall VAP keys should work again

  But before you install the latest version, remove the current one and restart the laptop. Then install the latest version of VAP.

  I have a Mac Mini with OSX 10.11.1 2011 environment. I use an IOGear KVM with an aluminum full USB Apple keyboard. When I upgraded to El Capitan I had to manually set the keyboard type to a 101-102 keyboard because when I hit the button to the right of the left SHIFT key it showed that it was unknown to the keyboard. It worked fine for a month. I had been running Parallels v10 with Windows 8. I installed the version of Windows to Windows 10. Now for some strange reason the number keys in the numeric keypad do not work. Press 'clear', 'is', ' * ', -', and '+' more to do. " Initially, I thought that maybe they are translated into cursor keys, but after trying to use them as cursor keys in a spreadsheet, I found that this is not the case.  I read somewhere that the NUMLOCK combination on some keyboards is shift + delete I tried but it does not solve the problem. I have to use the KVM because my job requires me to run tests on Windows systems. A complementary, all on the keyboard note worked except the keystrokes to start. If I need to start and use a startup sequence I need to plug the keyboard directly on the Mini. And Yes, I tried to plug the keyboard directly into the Mini and the keys still don't work. ARGH!

  Well, I found the keyboard moves the cursor. I also found that the option + F5 command can change back to numbers.
