DV7-7240US: HP Recovery - cannot reset to the original factory HP setting

Recently, my original Windows 8 has been updated to a new version of Windows 8.1. It was an automatic update of my laptop, I didn't. The next day, I discovered that the system was very slow and freezes in some places. I can not even restart or shut down the computer. It forced me to press and hold the power button to stop and restart the machine. It took some time for my machine load and start the window; Sometimes, it took about 30-40 minutes. This incident has happened very frequently, I have to turn the machine on too often. Now, I got the message when he was loading: diagnostic Systems, error disc, press the auto repair. "Then he started scanning it says on the screen: ' disk scanning error. This process may take longer than an hour. "He was allowed to return to 8.1 Windows for the first time. Then, the windows was frozen again. I forced to turn off and turn on the machine too many times, this machine was hooked during the scan disk error. He showed the scanning process 0% throughout the night I left the machine. I can't load the window again. Therefore, I have to go to the F11-system setting, keyboard language was loaded on the screen. Then I chose us. The next screen, I clicked on troubleshooting, HP Recovery, restore the system. It did not work. Then, I selected Reset to the original factory setting. He asked to make a backup of the file. I chose the automatic backup of the file, and then move forward. The backup process has crossed at 63%, then the pop-up error: error ffffffff15, data code = 6. I tried to go back and backup file again, it gave me the same error. Then, I tried to reset the system to the initial factory setting without saving the file. I clicked on the warning message about all of the hard drive will remove if I proceed. Then I got an error and can not proceed with other measures. I then tried to reset the systems with USB I created HP Recovery Manager after buying the machine. "When I tried to restore the initial factory setting, it gave me an error message:" the target drive is not connected. "I don't know what to do now. I guess, I need HP Recovery DVD or HP's USB flash drive in order to restore the factory setting of windows 8. I don't have the recovery disk when I bought my HP laptop. I even created one with USB, copy of the record of HP recovery support, but it still doesn't work. Help, please! It's really frustrating.

Yes, you got the error code indicates a bad hard drive.

    Hello

If you have problems with the process of recovery of manufacturers, contact the manufacturer

It's their recovery process not microsofts

    ________________________________________________________________________

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista, if the recovery discs, you have done do not work

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    ____________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

    HP is F11

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

Options of > Security > General settings > Menu > wipe Handheld will wipe all the data that you passed on.

This will restore all the original factory after I run the present?

Yes, any. It is not a 'factory' specifically, but close enough. He's going to do what I said, and all your personal data will be deleted.

So you want to make a backup of the old appliance, and then on the new device > restore > Advanced and select only these databases you want to restore to the new.

I can understand the backup of the old device, but I do not understand what I am restoring in the new system? What is the data of the old appliance?

Yes, IF you want data from the OLD device on the NEW device, this is what he will do.

After you run these, so I can sync the data from the old unit to the new feature, am I right?

You're confusing terminology. You won't be "synchronization" given the old unit to the new device, you will be restoring the data FROM the old unit to THE new device if you follow my advice.

Maybe I don't know what exactly it is that you are trying to do. Why don't reiterate you it here so that it is clear?

  • Reset of the original fonts fonts folder/recovery

I was wondering if there is a recovery tool for the default fonts in Vista? I downloaded a bunch of fonts and now I have over 2000 fonts and it's really out of the hand trying to go through them (slows all, essentially). I googled everything that I could think of to try to recover or reset the file, but there is nothing clearly elsewhere. Help?

None containing the original set of fonts that came with Vista.  You can check to see what is available on the Microsoft Download Center at http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/default.aspx and entry policies.  There is not much choice for Vista only - mostly have to do with the other operating systems or of Microsoft Products (and none is what you are looking for).  I don't see ANY original font sets for any operating system available yet (they once were for some older systems, but they stopped doing that years ago).

For what you want, check the results of research of Bing here: http://www.bing.com/search?q=Microsoft+fonts+download&mkt=en-us&DI=6244&CE=14.0&CM=SearchWeb&first=1&FORM=PERE.  I have found no who are the original Vista fonts (and I don't know how to properly remove installed fonts to only replace the originals, even if you were able to find them).  If you really find them, post with the link to this site and I'll see if I can understand how do now that we have replacements available.  But the sad truth is that these other policies are likely to space to the top of your policies even more than they already are if add you them to the mixture.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

  • A friend cannot return to the original appearance of Vista

I showed and helped my friend using this: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-desktop/restore-the-original-vista-start-menu-and-taskbar/9c185d3b-b725-4998-ae99-0dc68eb9e55f

And yet again, she cannot go back to the original task bar and appearance of the start menu.

She would also not reset its computer due to having important files.

    Help, please.

Need to reset the computer to the 'new' factory, either using the reset function integrated to the manufacturer (the company that makes the computer) and may require a CD with the files.  Only the user manual or the company that builds, it can tell you how to access these features.

As for the appearance, I'll try to create a new user account on the computer.  This can usually fix many issues.  Go to control panel, user accounts and create a new one.

  • Recovery software deleted without the original disks?

I have a computer Dell Latitude D800. The operating system is Windows XP Professional, 2002, SP2. I recently downloaded updates from Microsoft, that there were many and installed updates. During this procedure and I do not know how, subsequently set MS office, Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Outlook, has been eliminated. I discovered this when I tried to open Word, Excel, and Powerpoint documents. I noticed that the icons of these documents had changed, and a pop box would be saying "Windows is not knowing what created this program file" After checking the list of programs from the Start button, of course, these programs have disappeared. I installed Word, Excel and Powerpoint Reader and I can now open and read documents, but of course, I can not change or create new ones. Again I have Outlook Express and can use it to my email. I don't have the original disks to reinstall the software. Is there a way to 'recover' this software and reinstall?

  • Spectrum of HP x 360-13-4009na: Machine starts with "Preparation of auto repair. Cannot reset. "The disk is locked.

One day the machine started start mode "Preparation of auto repair. I tried to reboot several times, including a hard reset without effect.

Then I tried to "put this PC" but I get the message "the drive where Windows is installed is locked." Once, he did pass this screen and asked me my credentials for the Windows account but then failed. Now it's to the same message.

I then tried of the system hard disk diagnostics. The DST short and SMART test passed BUT the long DST has failed with an error code ridiculously long...

    0LPMB9-7LT88D-MFPWMG-61V503

My conclusion is that this problem is hard disk (SSD) related, but what I can do now.  Needless to say my warranty missed in January 2015 (I think) and the machine is currently blocked.

Does anyone know what the code above means?

If it's a SSD failure, how can I get it replaced and then how do I reinstall Windows 10 since HP did not provide support for recovery with the machine, either 8.1 win or win 10.

    Any help appreciated.

    Paul.

Your long test failed.  I wouldn't replace the drive if I felt it unnecessary.

You'd better replace but weather that you do it yourself or not, I can't comment. HP has no instructions for your model on the replacement of this player.

If your comfortable with DIY, go ahead as long as its out of warranty.

Specs say it has a 256 GB SSD M.2

Personally, I would like to look at the disc before I ordered one, to make sure that I get the correct type.

    Good luck.

  • Frozen phone and can't unlock, but cannot reset like the "home" button is broken! Help!

It has been frozen, so I tried to do a reset, even if my home button is broken (it works SOMETIMES), but instead he just locked my phone and froze again! Can not unlock my phone, can not reset, what do I do? I have the thing of assistant touch up I realized that I could use to reset, but I can not get my phone unlocked! It's a 5s.

    Help.

You must get your Home button attached to Apple or a repair shop authorized.

If you already connected your iPhone to iTunes on your computer, sign in, and then perform a new backup. This does not require a password on the phone.

  • K1: apps are forced to close + cannot connect to the internet + factory reset cannot

All of a sudden, my ideapad K1 keep poping up of messages saying that * stopped unexpectedly and force close.

I try to upgrade the fireware all realize there is no wifi to connect (wifi works well on my other devices).

After trying tons of method, up to call the customer service that seems to care about nothing and just ask me to do a factory reset. I finally decieded to make the patch more stupid - factory reset while it is said that 'com.android.setting' stopped unexpectedly and leaves.

I'm trying to remove the application one by one and after reboot, all applications are still there.

So, basically, I can't do nothing changes.

Anyone has an idea how to solve the problem or how to do a hard factory reset? Thanks in advance.

I know, I tried a thousand times. When I click on privacy, an error occurs and closes.

  • Re: Satellite A300-1MC: recovery would restore to the original system?

    The story so far...

    Laptop failed (A300-1MC)

    No available recovery disk
    Replaced HARD drive
Installed Vista using the borrowed from the previous model of Toshiba Satellite recovery disk
Installed the missing drivers-online work system without valid product key
Connected the old HARD drive using the box external usb
Launched original TRORDCLauncher on the old disk - no error

So now, I apparently have 2 recovery DVDs.

Question: Will these DVD restore to original system?

The previous Satellite was no TRORDCLauncher and come included with recovery disks

I am aware of the correct procedure-online recovery disks in order to https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu

    > So now apparently I 2 recovery DVDs.

Recovery disk would still set the laptop in the same condition as at the first day of purchase

  • Must why/list of the menus and the checked boxes be reset to the original value of a page updated?

Whenever I go to an update to update the record in a Recordset, the 'list' and checked all boxes must is be returned to original options possible that they can maintain their value without a reset?

I assume you are using Dreamweaver server behaviors. You know that they have been removed from the latest versions of Dreamweaver, because they use a code that is outdated and will stop working in future versions of PHP.

That said, the technique of preserving values is very simple, as long as you are familiar with PHP. You need recover the value of the recordset and use a conditional statement to set the attribute "selected" on the correct menu option and the 'checked' attribute, select the correct option.

I don't remember the code that create DW server behaviors, but you need to add something like that to each element:
