dv8000 AC adapter problem

I have a HP Pavilion dv8000. A few months ago the power adapter has stopped working. I went to Radio Shack and bought a new plug for it. It's plugged in and it worked fine. A few days ago the new take has stopped working. I had to hold a just a certain angle so that it can establish a connection. I finally broke down and bought a new AC adapter. When I plugged this evening and booted up the system, he stayed on during seconds, but did not show that the battery has been recharged. Then it turns off and the load on the front light just flashes. The info from the adapter is as follows:

Serial number: PPP014L

Input: AC100-240V

Output: 19V

Anyone have any suggestions?

If it is not under warranty, there is no solution from HP. Your laptop has all the symptoms of the problem power PIN that I describe above. Even if you send it to HP for paid repair is the only thing that they can do the replace the motherboard. Good luck to you.

  • USB Bluetooth adapter problems

    Hello

I recently got a new Toshiba Tecra S1 (PM725) and an adapter Bluetooth usb (with More4you software).

But I can't make it work with my nokia 6310i

I installed new battery BT (Bluetooth Stack for Windows by Toshiba (3.10.00).

Analysis of my nokia BT Manager, but when I want to connect to it, it immediately disconnects (after that I supported on accept connection on my nokia pairing) and the BT Manager gives the error: a not to connect to the following service: Dial-up networking. Connection request failed.

I only installed the BT stack (from dir... BT package /US/) because when I run the installer from the main dir, it does not recognize my BT adapter. He keeps asking to put the int bt adapter.

I had once it works, but with the next time you start it failed once again.

    Could you please help me?

    Hello

Therefore, it is very difficult to say what the problem is. In my opinion, it is very important that
-Adapter USB Bluetooth is installed correctly and working properly
-Nokia must be added and installed as a new modem
(The Nokia modem driver must be installed)

It is not easy to help you because More4you and all settings and options there are unknown for me.

I think before you start doing anything check there at - it problems with the USB adapter. Next step is the installation of the Nokia modem driver. I'm sure you have some CD or you can download it from the manufacturer's website.

Please be careful with COM ports (you can use the standard port). In my case the standard port was COM 40. The same port, you must choose to install the modem driver.

Try again. I'm sure that there is a problem with the settings. Check all out them again.

If you discover that a problem was it please write again.

    Good luck

  • Satellite P15-8409, Atheros wireless network adapter problem

Hello. I'm having a frustrating problem with an old laptop Satellite P15. I restored the phone to default settings using the recovery disk that the system was working very badly. After that, the wireless network adapter has stopped working. In the Device Manager "Atheros AR5001X + Wireless Network Adapter" is marked with a yellow exclamation point. In the menu properties, under general, the State of the device the following is listed:

The device cannot find enough free resources that it can use (code 12)

The operating system is Windows XP Home Edition. The same problem has been present in SP1, SP2 and SP3. I also updated the BIOS to V2, but it also did not help.

At work, we use a wireless internet connection. At home, I have a DSL connection. Curiously, when I plugged the network cable to the House, the yellow exclamation mark disappeared and a wireless connection icon appeared in the network connections window. I assumed that the problem has been resolved by updating to Windows; However when I brought the computer in the office, the wireless adapter was once more in the State I described.

I searched the internet for the same problem, but was unable to find anything. I would be very happy to help.

    all the best,

    James

BIOS version is installed on your machine? And you have you recently changed some hardware etc...?

I don't know what it could be, but in the worst cases, the wlan card has certain shortcomings. You can check this by getting somewhere such an atheros wlan card or intel and install it instead of the one installed.

Maybe the exchange of cards should solve this problem?

  • Mid-2015 MB Pro Power adapter problems black pine

I had at least 10 portable Mac over the years and this is the first time I've seen that happen.

The second axis on the adapter is black and will not charge the laptop. He's okay, sometimes if you stand up straight but it's absolutely not funny.

You can easily see the problems with the charging port and adapter...

Does not seem an easy solution.

  • Z580 - WLAN adapter problem

I've got Lenovo IdeaPad Z580, with Core i7, 4 GB of RAM and 1 TB of HARD drive processor.

A few months ago, I noticed that my BONES sometimes would freeze (make this beep sound freakin ') if I moved my computer too fast in my office (weird). She got worse a few weeks ago and seems to be somehow connected to my wireless network adapter.

It especially simply - nothing works. Switch WLAN disappears from the BIOS configuration, etc., like it wasn't even there. If I'm lucky (as I am now), it would work somehow. All of a sudden appears again in the BIOS etc. I can even use it on my Windows 8, but... If I propose a little my laptop, it will suddenly freeze and restart causes WLAN adapter not in the system at all, or the connection is de-energized ("metered" stuff etc.). Restart adapter according to the results of system in "find no WLANs", wlan switch endangered or gel.

I tried to reinsert the WLAN card, it sorta fixed stuff when I did it for the first time, I had a week or two without a problem, but he returned and reintegrated support is no longer.

First question what I can do with this adapter WLAN problem?

Second question is - while doing all this thing reinserting, my screws are a little bare now (but not completely, it is possible to get them unscrewed without any problem) because I have not noticed my screwdriver is broken and ruining. My laptop is still covered by the warranty? I do not have removed or broken any warranty seals in the process well, just the screws.

I forgot to mention, by WLAN adapt is Atheros AR9485WB-EG.

Information on repair mentions setting parts disconnected.

  • Pavilion p7 - 1108p wifi adapter problem (running 8.1 Win)

Expanded and published, the lack of resolution...

Pavilion p7 - 1108p, running Windows 8.1.   Adapter Wi - Fi keeps releasing sporadically and without apparent reason.  I opened the network and sharing Center, and under active networks, click connections, and then click diagnose.  It resets the adapter and all is well.  I have two other computers and a tablet on this network, and none of them has this problem.  Please advise what the question might be: I have something set wrong?  Do I have a hardware problem?

More info: when I use the troubleshooting tool to diagnose and reset the network card, I get 1 of 2 messages.  It's either.

    "" Wi - Fi"is not a valid IP configuration",

or a message to both parties,

    "The connection between your access point, router, or model of cable and the Internet is broken. ” ;

"The default gateway is not available "

Please advise as soon as possible, because it is critical for having us this machine on-line 24/7. Thank you!

    You are the very welcome.

If you have the problem fixed in a hurry, I'd consider having a network adapter wireless usb external of your choice.

I use the Linksys AE3000 adapter dual band usb wireless with my HP 8200 Elite CMT on W8.1 64 bit and it worked without problem for months.

It works great using the drivers W7 that accompanies it.

Otherwise, you will have to wait for who knows how long for Mediatek fix the driver.

You can disable the card in the Device Manager or physically remove it from its support if you want to add a usb wireless network adapter.

Some of the reviewers said it did not work with W8/8.1, and some have fact.

All I can say is that I had no problem to use drivers W7 supplied on mine.

  • Pavilion p6210y: SATA host adapter problem

    Hey guys,.

I think I found a problem with the SATA host adapter in a desktop Pavilion p6210y.  I find it difficult to restore the system after a hard drive replacement, and I discovered that if I have TWO hard drive and the CD drive unplugged so the machine will start.  If I plug the hard drive OR the CD, then the machine hangs on the HP BIOS screen.  Output voltage of the PSU is normal.  I think the guest card (motherboard) is toast.

I did a little research, and it seems that it is a known problem with this motherboard.

HP P6210Y does not detect hard drive

This link may be the inlaid right.

Card failure causes a MCP chip overheating, which controls the SATA ports.

  • 2230-N-Intel wifi adapter problem. stops on the map

I just bought a laptop HP 17-j029nr.  He has a wifi card intel proset N-2230.  I have already returned your laptop under the return policy of 3 weeks for the same problem.  I didn't know what was wrong, then I discovered that the issue on the last day I could return it, so that seemed to be the best course of action.  The new laptop began to have much faster than the previous issue.

The problem seems to not have a link with the windows updates, but not spend 8 to 8.1.

In the beginning, everything is normal.  Good solid connection on my network for this device and all my devices.  Then, I lose the internet connection.  On the notifacation of wifi, there is a!, open it and it only shows my network, and it said limited.  I can ping all other computers on my network or my gateway, it seems that there is not any connection at all.  If I disconnect, then says no available networks.  A reboot will get me back online.

Everything's fine again for 10 minutes up to 2 hours.  Then he repeats, said I have a metered, but I have no connection, and I have to reboot for it to come alive.

A google search reveals that this is not a problem rare, nor specific to HP laptops.  He also had a decent knowledge base of solutions I've tried, all to nothing does not.

I tried a few different versions of the driver.  First, I tried the latest version of the driver.  Then I tried all the drivers that were made for windows 8.1 64-bit.  I came across an ad that suggested using the Intel PROSet/Wireless WiFI connection utility.  I defy anyone to get this application installed right the first time.  My limited knowledge of windows 8.1, my networks are managed by this application.  The only reason why I believe that it is because it runs in my sandbox, and if I right click on it, it gives me the possibility to 'use windows to manage wifi"yet, my windows wifi Manager runs as well.  I can't understand how to disable wifi management service without disabling other services necessary to use the card.  So, Yes, I have something not configured correctly, but the behavior I get is the same.  After some time, whatever it is, makes my life hell, continues to occur.

Any thoughts on why this is happening?

Being a miniminalist, I try to remove all the junkware that comes with the computer.  One of the things that I removed has some star power demand.  He had the blue background with the White Star, the standard "Energy Star Rated" sticker on a device, you will see.  A quick search online doesn't have reviel a lot on the application, but immediately got me into the hell of Googling turning all kinds of results I don't care at all.  So I removed the program.

Earlier I was in the properties of the device and I noticed the power management tab and behold, it has been verified to allow the computer to turn off the device to save power.  I don't know if this is the solution, but at least it's something.  I will update, and I promise with something better than, "nevermind, fixed it.

    -L' sad HP user

New adapter wifi solved the problem. Too bad HP support sucks so I have to use different elements to get the machine to work.
