DVD plays do not or have sound

How can I fix my dvd player?

I have wndows 32, vista OP system. I tried to reinstall the drivers, remove the upper filters and lower in the registry (there was no filters listed up or down) and verification of my material, which came out fine in the audit systen with resource cd. I don't know what to do now. The dvd player will play some DVDs but with no audio, (my speakers work well) another dvd (such as games, music and movies) dvd player does not yet read the dvd. I can see the dvd drive in the computer window, I can open and eject the Properties menu dvd player but no option of reading. So my pc know the drive is there but does not read. Help, please! The only information that I could get on my player is TSST Corp CD - RW DVD TS-H493A.

Thank you

  • Satellite M40: message: can not play because the DVD decoder is not installed

not serious... I am back... I did a little reading and tried to read another cd in the drive and the message came to say "can't play because the dvd decoder is not installed, so I guess that's the problem because I have a recovery * DVD *.» Anyone know where I can find a dvd for a Satellite M40 decoder?

    > can't play because the dvd decoder is not installed
This message appears if you want to play DVD movies with an application like Windows Media Player that has no (plug-in) installed DVD decoder.
Usually the DVD can be played with special programs like WinDVD or PowerDVD for example!

But this DVD decoder has nothing to do with the Toshiba Recovery DVD and the fact your new DVD Player cannot read the recovery DVDs.

  • Stor.e TV + - playing .mkv files have sound but no picture

I just transferred all my .mkv files on my store TV + but most of them have sound but no picture? They play fine on my PC...

Also, in any case to change the icon of the folder on the actual dvd cover on the store TV +? Sick to see the yellow folders!

    Thank you...

    Hello
Find the StorE TV + specifications on this page from Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/EU/store-external-hard-drives/TV-plus/

The Store TV + supports video formats: MPEG1 (DAT, MPG), MPEG2 (VOB, MPG, TS/M2TS/TP TRP), MPEG4 (AVI, MP4, MKV), VC-1 (WMV), H.264 (AVI, MKV, MOV, MP4), RM/RMVB (RM/RMVB)

MKV files are supported by the MPEG4 and H.264 video format.
Files are saved in these formats?
How about you play other i.e. MPG or AVI files?

In addition, I would recommend checking the connection to the TV.
Here is a user manual that I found on the page of Toshiba:
    http://www.Toshiba-multimedia.com/global/manuals/store/manuals/STORE_TVplus_User_Manual.PDF

It shows you how to connect the Store TV + correctly.

  • Whenever I have to play the game, I have to insert the disc 2 in my DVD ROM despite installing the game on my hard drive.

    Hello

Whenever I have to play the game, I have to insert the disc 2 in my DVD ROM despite installing the game on my hard drive.
Can someone help me with a cure for this (IE run the game without the CD?) I can run Microsoft Flight simulator without inserting the DVD in my DVD-rom.

original title: query on Microsoft Train Simulator 2001

I suspect that the game has Digital Rights Management in there (i.e., copy protection) and it checks for you ensure that you physically have the disc so that he knows that you are not a thief.  Many providers of game assumes that you are a thief and you prove that you're not demanding that the disc is in the DVD player when the game takes place.  What I do is to use a program like Alcohol 52%, a free program that can make a copy of a DVD/CD and include in the image copy protection so that you can use a DVD player virtual to mount the image file instead of having the real DVD mounted in a real drive.

If you have a DVD decoder (for example Power DVD) try reinstalling it.

If it is not... Take a look at the following site:

    Info about DVD decoders:
    Plug-ins for Windows Media Player
    http://www.Microsoft.com/windows/windowsmedia/player/plugins.aspx

Also, you could try one of the players following freeware that will play DVDs:

(FWIW... it's always a good idea to create a system)
Restore point before installing software or updates)

    VLC Media Player

    Media Player Classic

(just unzip and run it... (no installation required)

    (works on XP/Vista/7)

  • Error Windows Media Player cannot play the file because "it might not be a sound device installed on your computer.

    Original title: Media Player

THE FOLLOWING IS a MESSAGE I GET WHEN TRYING TO DOWNLOAD FILES: "Windows Media Player cannot play this file because there is a problem with the audio device.  "It might not be a sound device installed on your computer, it can be used by another program, or it might is not working properly.  What "audio device" are talking about?

    1. do you get an error with this error code?

    3. what version of Media Player do you use?

    4. were you able to play the files using Media Player without any problem before?

5 did you a recent software or changes to the material on the computer?

Audio device is the part that allows sound from the computer. If the appliance is used or if the drivers are corrupt, then you can get the error message.

I suggest you go through the steps and check.

    Method 1:

Quit other programs that may be using your sound device, and then try to play the file again.

Method 2: Install an updated driver.

Step 1: Firstly uninstall the audio driver from Device Manager and add or remove programs

Follow these steps to do the same thing:

    a. click Startand then click Control Panel.

    b. click Systemand click on the hardware tab, then click Device Manager.

    e. visit the sound card manufacturer's Web site to determine if a newer version of the driver is available for download.

    Method 3:
