Of Code rewriting preferences is "encode <>, &, and" in the attribute values using the &' which seems to be the reason for this.

I am trying to update a model whose children are the code before the HTML tag (on some pages) and when I do that change more than the symbol (in a query) to & gt;. which causes overwriting. It's fairly trivial to find/replace, but I wonder if there is a way I can tell it not to do and if not what else he is changing (is there an article of list/kb on what can I read?) So far, I have found no mention of this anywhere.

Links of the CBC in the new page based on a template are inheriting from the previous version of the page

I have problems with the CBC links when I create a new page from a template DWT. I hope someone can help me. Here's what I did.
1. I copied an HTML page to a new site that I have created (1 Site) to an existing (Site 2) as well as all the images needed site and the CSS files.
2. I edited the CBC code so that page copied to Site 2 (New Page) referenced the correct local CSS and image files
3. I created a template the Page new DWT file in Site 2 but noted that the CBC links were still referencing image and CSS of the Site 1 files, so I edited this new as shown above.
4. I created a new page, based on the model of TPL, but strangely, the CBC links are again referencing Site 1.
I don't understand what is happening. DW is clearly still remember the original links and ignores changes.

When I need to come a file from another site, here's what I do.

Go to Site 1. Open the file in Design view or Code view. Turn off Live View.

Go to Site 2. File > save as new_filename.html in the root directory of the Site 2.

DW should invite you to update the links. Press YES.

Close the Site 1 file.

Check the file links 2 Site to ensure that they document.

Validate code & solve the errors reported.

When you are completely satisfied with your document, click file > save as template.

DW will ask you to insert editable regions for content that changes from one page to another. To do this and save your template.

Close the model.

File > new > Site Template Page.

Press the button create.

SaveAs index.html (your home page).

Repeat for other pages of the site.

Can anyone help. If I change anything on a model, none of the files .swf on pages based on this template will work when you preview in the browser.

This problem can be considered a limitation to a certain point because Dreamweaver did not have the "auto-Update" capacity, although it wasn't really the best practice to include Flash content in a model DW.

There is a workaround solution. You may need to change the template (.dwt) himself and work in Code view.
- In Code view, use find and replace (Edition > find and replace) have so that it will be easier for you to find what you are looking for.
- In the find and Replace window, choose current Document as the value for find in, the Source Code and as a Research.
- In the search field, type--> 'src' (including apostrophes), and then click Next.
- Once you have found 'src', pay attention to the simple quoted text next to it. The value in single quotes is the path where the Flash file is saved. try to remove the ... / if you happen to see. (do if the Flash file is located in the same folder where the HTML page that uses it is registered)
- Use find and replace again, this time, try searching for 'movie' (including the single quotes). Again, you will see the text next to him who has the same value as what you are looking for before. Do the same thing, try to remove the ... /. (do if the Flash file is located in the same folder where the HTML page that uses it is registered)
Save the DW template file and try to view the pages in the browser.

Pages based on the recognized but not secondary model updated

I have DW CC. I do minor changes to the names on the bars of subnavigation on templates. When I record, change is recognized and asks me if I want to update pages based on this template, and lists all the. I updated. The next area is LOOK IN: [auto filled in the correct Sub model], MODELS of UPDATE is enabled, and this appears:

I get this same result for all secondary models. I tried other ways to update and did not work.

Any changes you want to make to your document are possible only in the said model.

I've never used nested models and I would strongly encourage you to do the same, they are very difficult to maintain.

Better to use server side includes (SSI) SSI as by SSI: the command Include or, if you are using PHP, PHP 5 include and require

Please, I spent two days trying to solve this problem. Here's the situation. I'm trying to create a Web site for our school. I created a master template which I intend to use as a base for each teacher's webpage. I also created folders for each teacher, teachers had to send me their weekly updates what duties inlude, photos and downloads.
Here's the problem: whenever I have to create a page based on the template of the page is created in the root folder. There is no way to create pages in the files of specific teachers. I save the page and try to drag to the respective folder. When I try to save the file, Dreamweaver he re-recorded in the root folder. If I try to view the html file in the folder of the teacher that the overview does not load. I have three books of refernce DW, including the Missing Manual and no of them don't address this problem. Neither is Adobe.
Surely someone here created a page based on a template and placed in a folder without breaking all the paths. Why DW does not provide a way to save a page template based in a specific folder.

Thank you all for responding. The problem was that I was using DW on my macbook. To access save as function I finally understood that you must click on the small triangle next to the name. not the Favorites or recent locations triangle. Lost two days trying to understand cela. Incredible.

Okay, so I'm new to DW and use DW8 (which is the latest version, anyway?)
Here's the background and my problem:

I work with a graphic designer in the redesign of the site to our organization not-for-profit, and it has a gradient along the left side of the page. At the top of the slope, she has a logo merges with the gradient. Then the navigation bar along the top of the page with the drop down menus designed in Fireworks. It's a beautiful design, but I can't get things to work properly when I import into DW.

Again, I am new to DW and FW, but I am a quick learner (I think). I gathered these aspects (the gradient, logo, site name and navigation bar) in FW. I want these to form the template for all pages in the site, so I made them in DW to do. However, I need to make sure that the background (gradient) again without logo repeat. So I exported separately and set it as the bottom of the page by using the page properties. I thought it would be fairly simple. However, I can not export just the logo under a .jpg file (it needs to be to look right) without having a white background and the mixture is no longer with the gradient.

So now, I thought to myself, that export the whole picture of FW (with the gradient, logo and navigation bar) to DW and just place it on the gradient background, threading as an image, so that these things appear at the top of the page, but the gradient continues under the image. It has been an incredibly frustrating process, and I know that the last idea probably sounds ridiculous to those more experienced than me. However, I think that it can actually work. The only problem and a big, is that when I insert the image for the entire of FW (or even just the logo itself) document, even when it says the page has no margin or padding, it seems to always define this image down about 10 pixesls, manufacturing it compensate with the gradient background and leaving the edge of the visible logo (which is supposed to look like It runs off the page). How can I fix?

And once it works, how configure these two areas, the gradient with the logo and the navigation bar top with the name of the site, to be the model for the rest of the site with the large open space, I left on the rest of the page in the edit box? It seems like once I get this set as the model, the rest of the pages will come together quite quickly and easily.

Is there another way to do that would be easier? I am very open to suggestions. I have yet the site upward on a test server to show to everyone online, but if you want to email me [email protected], I welcome correspondence and help to get this working. I am also prepared to send the .html files to someone by e-mail if they could be useful. Sorry for the long post, but I spent all day working on this problem and I'm absolutely desperate. You must assign 0 margin and padding on the body tag. Copy the following text
in the head of your document just before the closing head tag (/ head >)
Preferably, it should be placed in a sheet of external style, but by the sounds of

Once you have added the above to your page, you must save the page under a
Model. You will be asked to create an editable region (which is the area
"that will be changed on each page the child of this model).
The help of DW files offer information about creating model
pages - which can be the first step for you :-)

Can't change language after OS upgrade of the Sierra

After the upgrade of the Sierra, my MacBook Pro has decided to return to the French.

Now, I am unable to change the language on the menus and dialog boxes.

I tried to put the English in language and text preferences, same problem.

I also tried to run sudo languagesetup, same problem.

Language changes are not applied immediately to the running applications, but they should be applied to the applications that you start after the change is made. Changes to the Finder will apply if you raise, or to do it easily, just log out and back in.

I think that the doen't just browser allow large images to load for a job faster, or something, but I can't find anywhere where to change these settings.

When I use Firefox to watch the changes I make to the HTML files locally, it does not show changes made to images, unless I restart the browser. Is this a bug?

I have the local and versions at distance of a page is open in two tabs. I change images (keeping the same name in the HTML code) and download the modified image. The tab that displays the remote page does a refresh to show the change. The tab showing the local page of do not. I tried to open it in a new window, but it still doesn't change. Only if I restart Firefox does show the change. Why? Is this a bug?

Try using Ctrl-Shift-R or Ctrl-F5 to reload the page. This tells Firefox to reload all the content on the page, ignoring cached assets copies.

I don't know why this is happening in the first place, although I suspect it may have something to do with the fact that the remote copy is loaded from a web server (including a bunch of headers allowing browsers to know when we need to get a new copy of an asset), while the local copy is loaded directly into the file system.

Apple Photo 1.3 serious problems - how can I SOLVE all these problems?

(1) breaks down without rhyme or reason no matter where I am in the workflow.

(2) pictures will not be Shut Down Every Time, even after several days of waiting.

(3) aPhoto frequently badly chooses picture in the EDIT picture option, I get a picture different than the one I clicked on which is on a 100 pictures in a row.

Windows Vista does not start to change from IDE to AHCI in the BIOS

Hi, I spent a lot of time to look at this problem online. I can't find a lot of google search results and they seem to say enter REGEDIT and change the "msahci" start to 0 and even the 'pciide', or 'iaStorV' start parameters to 0. But this does not work for me. The loading Windows with the loading bar screen Green just continues to go wrong and never Windows startup. I have Windows Vista Home Basic Edition.

I saw someone in this forum with a similar problem but they have upgraded to Win7 on a new installation to fix the problem, they spend on AHCI RAID. I contacted Intel technical support and they said to try HP or the manufacturer of the motherboard. I contacted Intel because I installed a 520 Intel Solid State Drive series and wanted to know if they had a driver to get the benefit of the AHCI instead of the IDE. I know that a lot of people recommend a new installation of Windows, but I don't have a Windows cd with this computer (my computer is here: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c00835809 )

I suggested that you create disks because you said that the computer came with any one and you could not re - install Windows as suggested a possible solution. If you want a Windows Vista 'clean' no HP Setup, please see Paul's response in this thread of the forum called "System Restore not working not not for HP Media Center Desktop PC. According to his instructions is expected to create a bootable Windows Vista installation disc. My only amendment to this method, is not to use the product key Microsoft Windows Vista on the COA on the side of your computer. Instead, I would like to "Save" the product key from factory OEM HP and HP OEM certificate using ' the Activation, backup and restore ' then 'restore' the certificate and the key to the new clean install of Vista. This will result in an installation clean factory activated that does not require Microsoft to activate. Be aware that the software HP added value will no longer be on your computer. If you want to use this software, you MUST create your personal HP recovery disks and copy the "SWSETUP" folder on your current installation of factory to an external support.

Re-install Windows Vista, as shown above with the SATA BIOS settings set on AHCI you like will work 100% of the time. It should also install to SSDs, where HP recovery discs are known to fail.

In SharePoint Server 2007, I would like to disable the "Server workbook. "To change this workbook, click on modify the workbook" message.

When I save a document (I have administrative rights) to SharePoint Server 2007 sites, I get the following: 'server workbook. "To change this workbook, click on modify the workbook. I would like to know if I can disable this function/message because when my Field Reps open documents, they "feel" like they had at which of course gives them a mistake that they do not have the permissions, click and they n turn bombard me with emails which, in turn, drives me CRAZY... Help, please.
