Dynamic objects of poor quality in Photoshop

My apologies if this has already been answered, but I was able to find a solution. I want to add vector items saved in a creative library of clouds in a photoshop document, but when I insert smart objects they all appeared really pixelated. I used to be able to copy and paste directly from indesign, Photoshop, but the same thing is happening now.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you very much

If you want to transform a smart object layer.  If the object is a vector file placed as an .ai or .svg file the object layer dynamic will be a vector smart object and turn via vector graphics that will turn all other objects using interpolation.  If the object has Photoshop vector graphic elements. You can double-click content layer icon in the layers palette. This will open a working document in Photoshop, you can resize in Photoshop using vector graphics. When you save the work file Photoshop updates the dynamic object with your object resized layer. I don't use other Adobe products you can save vector files from indesign as .svg files?  And put them in you library. So far, I have not use libraries for all I use in Photoshop in a team not environment.  I can find a use one day Adobe libraries.

I think that if the assets in a library and .svg file it would be placed in Photoshop as a vector smart object layer.

    Hello

I have 6 icons created in Illustrator and imported as vector smart objects.

Then, I select all 6 and create another object of Smart from there.

If I resized now this dynamic object, it loses it s quality, as if the icons are raster in the first place.

This is not what happened in PS CS5.

It s a bug or "novelty"?

You must realize that Photoshop makes pixels for the embedded object then when you resize the smart object layer it evolve as and layer rasterizes by interpolation not reduced with vector graphics. His work of the layers the way smart object. His is a very old thread on the topic

  • Fuzzy dynamic objects in Photoshop save for Web in JPEG files

I create graphics, etc. in Illustrator, place them as dynamic objects in a master before displaying file Photoshop save for Web JPEG files as a slide PowerPoint background. Created in Illustrator or Photoshop, everything through this process (quality 80 or 100 with all SfW options on or off) except for the bands are blurred when they are imported (at 100%) in PowerPoint. The only way I was able to get whatever it is crisp in PowerPoint saves a Photoshop pdf file. However, it was only the text created in Photoshop. The part of the Illustrator smart object was still unclear. Someone has an idea on the best process to combine Photoshop and Illustrator files into a single file for import into PowerPoint as a clean and clear background? At this point, I am open to all suggestions.

PowerPoint, as with all the office applications, use print sizes images and layouts, not pixel sizes. So, your pictures are probably too small to be seen clearly in PPT. according to Microsoft, failure to PPT for images is 220ppi, so if you want them to be clear, work on the actual size (inches / cm / mm) you want the image and save it to 220ppi or higher - no use save for web. Save for web always saves out to 72 dpi.

  • I'm updating photoshop today and when I drag an object from illustrator to photoshop, the object doesn't turn into a dynamic object why?

Update photoshop today and when I drag an object from illustrator to photoshop object market not turning into a smart object why?

OK - think I have this sorted out now.

When you copy and paste an Illustrator file in Photoshop, you get the dialog box PASTE.

You can paste as smart object, Pixels, path and shape layer. In the past, you would select depending on what you want (in my case for most Smart Object) and viola - you have your dynamic object. However, in the newly revised version, there is a checkbox in low called "Add to my current library" If this box is checked, it becomes a library file that displays with a 'cloud' icon in the layer. If you uncheck the 'Add to my current library' it won't matter as a regular smart object.

Well, something's wrong with Photoshop. Try to close Photoshop, and then press Command + Option + shift as you restart Photoshop. You will be asked to clear the Photoshop preferences. ATTENTION: you will lose all current preferences.

  • 3D Photoshop CC - how to pack a dynamic object around a bottle

    Hello

This seems to be a frequently asked question but none of the answers I found wise (I suspect they are for older versions of Photoshop).

I have a picture of a pot and a dynamic object that is my label.

If I'm going to: > 3D > New mesh layer > Mesh preset > cylinder - then the label is wrapped around the cylinder and is really perfect - work done.

    Issues related to the:

-How do I make the cylinder transperant so I only see the label

-How to get out the window 3D so I can place my label wrapped in the photograph of the jar?

Sorry for the questions, I'm surprised, that I can't work this out (I have a previous experience with Cinema 4 d and Modo) or find instructions/YouTube videos that make sense.

Any pointers in the right direction would be much appreciated.

    See you soon

    Hello

Sketch for this exercise is to generate a 3D cylinder, creating illustrations to wrap around the cylinder, duplicate, and then modify this work to be used in a mapping of opacity and then reorganize the 3D on a composite element together.

Then the basic steps, I used to do this:

    (1) new 1024px x 512px, RGB doc/white background.

    (2) 3D > new mesh layer > depth map to > cylinder.

    (3) change the workspace for '3D '.

    (4) in the 3D Panel, choose the material 'Background '.

    (5) in the properties panel, select the texture of contextual opacity and choose 'Remove Texture' (you will add back to step 10).

    (6) in the properties panel, select the background Diffuse texture and 'Texture change... '. »

    (7) here's where you add the label icon you want to bend around the cylinder. I used a layer of text layer w/race style for the jar example. You will also need to scale the width down around 60% to account for the UV mapping stretched on the cylinder. (changes in the factor of scale if you use values of gray instrad of white in step 1)

    (8) when you work as you want, layer > duplicate layer to a new file.  This new file will be used for the texture of opacity that masks the area of the label you want while eliminating unwanted cylinder (ie. cut labels).

    (9) select all the pixels in the layer and edit them to white, and then on a new layer under black fill. It's your new card of the opacity. Save it in a working directory for use in the next step, and close the file. Also, save and close the file of the work of stage 6 & 7 (it is stored as a smart object in the original of the stage 1 file)

    (10) back with the original file from step 1 (with the selected 3D layer) select the material of base again in the 3D Panel. Now in the properties panel, select the texture of contextual opacity and choose "Load Texture... ». Go to the texture of opacity for step 9 and choose 'open '.

    (11) you should now see just your dress-up work of label in a cylindrical shape. You can use the tool rotation of the 3D camera to visualize the different angles.

    (12) now bring your jar for compositing image. Where is manipulating the 3D layer to align the scale and perspective can get complicated. I try to use the tools of camera 3D for this work (with the object overall scaling an exception). I also use the "Illustration" rendered preset Shaded to help visualize.

I hope this helps out. I left out the details around interaction with 3D layers, but ask questions if you get stuck.

    Kind regards

    Steve

  • Update dynamic object in views blurred Photoshop Illustrator

    Hi all

It is probably a request insultingly simple but:

I created a map in Illustrator, opened it as a dynamic in Photoshop and dragged object layer in a PSD.

When needing to make changes to the map, I double clicked the icon of the dynamic object on the layer list which opened the EPS Illustator on the map in Illustrator. Changes, saved and closed - everything goes as planned until this point.

When I return to my DSP the smart object has updated very well, but it seems all pixilated and blurry. The file has not been moved because I placed the origin of the smart object and nothing I seems to give me a crisp update to smart object.

My only option, which is a pain, is to open the original illustrator EPS - change - back up and start over in Photoshop.

There must be something I am doing wrong.

    Any help is appreciated!

Actually, I meant the window of Options Illustrator where one set of PDF compatibility and other.

Have you tried to put a file have instead of an eps?

Thank you, Warunicorn, I do understand that you lose the benefits of dynamic objects, I guess what I'm trying to ask is to make you lose the appearance that smart objects gave you when you group documents? For me if the image looks still even with objects with or without smart objects their pixelated it does not matter that smart objects or they aren't. I seek only the general appearance, is he always looks good as he has done with smart objects. ?

    Thank you for your help,

When just flattening? Of course, they look alike. It's when you go to register in a particular format is where things start to get sticky. (As the backup format JPEG.)

  • Resize an exponential dynamic object

I use script with dynamic objects animation to create the illusion that an object is moving toward the screen. The problem is, resizing, and using images key leave small "jumps" in the query whenever a keyframe passes. Is there a good way to have an exponential growth of the smart object in Photoshop? Or should I just bite the bullet and do it manually?

What you are looking for then is 'Easements' - acceleration / deceleration. Ease (more slow as it comes to a stop), in (more rapid deceleration when it stops). In my version of Photoshop, it is not available. You can do a number of things - use Flash, After Effects or Premier to use the ease in/out function or do it manually as you originally thought. One option is to convert your animation script to frame and then remove the frames nears you the end. keep 1 remove 1, keep 1, remove 2, etc.. Then it will give the illusion of gets bigger and faster but still have the fluidity of the animation time online. I hope that helps!

  • disable the dynamic object

    Hello

Whenever I open any photo in camera raw in photoshop, it opens as a smart object in photoshop cc2015.

    How can I disable that?

Already when I opened pictures in camera raw, it will open in the background instead of the dynamic object.

  • Dynamic filters deactivation on dynamic objects while making connections in CC

This just started today, but in trying to apply a filter of "Sharpness" to a .gif (video file) Smart Object, visibility of the filter turns off as soon as I click on the play button in the timeline panel.

    My approach is this:

    > Save the .gif on computer

    > Leader open .gif in PS CC

    > Convert all layers of dynamic object

    > Apply the sharpness filter to the smart object to create the smart filter

    > Click on 'Play' on the Timeline

    > * ISSUE: the smart filter becomes invalid. It won't save even when you export for the Web.

I made connections for years using this process and it never became a problem until today. I wonder if it's just a bug in this version of PS CC? It's super annoying! Any help I could get would be fantastic. Thank you!

To keep track, I'm not sure your workflow, but I'm guessing that at a given time convert you a chronology of "animation image" GIF to a collage "video". We are trying to fix a bug for the dynamic filters on video editing. The bug involved filters that do not have a dialogue window, sharpen, sharpen more, etc. These filters would be disabled to play or export. This could be the problem you see now. This problem appeared in Photoshop CC 2015. It will be fixed in the next update of Photoshop.

  • A problem when using dynamic objects related

    1. open an image in Lr using the command "open as smart object in Photoshop.

2 convert the dynamic object opened in dynamic object associated with the Ps (save it in the same place where the original DNG file is by agreeing to replace)

    3. Save and close the TIFF file created in PS.

4 make a few adjustments to the original DNG and save them in Lr in the DNG file.

    5. open the TIFF file and double-click the icon of yellow warning on the dynamic object bound to this day in the TIFF file.

    6. in ACR, simply click ok to update my linked smart object.

7 and now without no cropping applied, my smart object related to the Ps is cropped automatically.

How can I stop this automatic cropping?

I solved my problem... Thank you.

  • Dynamic objects not opening not 100% the percentage

    Hi to all the gurus,

Is there a reason why photoshop (CS5) is not to open a PDF as dynamic object to 100%? I used the open as smart object option, but the file is 93,05% and sometimes 105,38% and transform the file back to 100% to get the 'native' dimension that I want the movie to.

Would be great if someone can help me around this slight annoyance.
