Dysfunction of Lenovo U410

For some reason, the touchpad is only a right-click and click only when I press hard enough on the touch pad. Tap to click does not work and sometimes will not even move the cursor. I tried to reinstall the drivers.

I often bring my laptop for class, so I really need this to be fixed. I also can not use OneKey for now, because I have no way to back up all my data at this time.

Problem solved! Just a glitch... All I had to do was turn off my cell phone and wait a few minutes before Relighting (I waited 20 minutes).

  • Recovery bios Lenovo u410

    Hello

I bouht Lenovo U410 yesterday, I want to update bios in resoult my laptop do not work. Leptop begin, only power button blink when I want to run on. I tried to recover the bios using this method http://forums.lenovo.com/t5/IdeaPad-S-series-Netbooks/LENOVO-BIOS-RECOVERY/td-p/332989 but without success. Anyone know how to recover the bios in this laptop.

This topic is obsolete. The laptop is now under repair. After all, thanks for the reply.

  • Can not enter Boot Menu Lenovo U410 Touch Windows 10

Going to be crazy about it. Tried to do almost anything to get into my BIOS Menu:

    1) enter the BIOS through Windows 10: Systemsettings-> Recovery > UEFI
    + Quick start disabling
    + Safe mode
    DOES NOT. Normal startup.

    2) enter the BIOS via Novo Button > by selecting the Start Menu
    + Safe mode
DOES NOT. Normal startup. (Only SystemRecovery works)

    3) enter the BIOS via shortcuts (F2 / Fn + 2)
    DOES NOT. Normal startup.

I could not find any file flashing BIOS for Windows 10 and to be honest, I don't want to Flash my BIOS.
So please help me as soon as possible. Already lost 4 h on this topic.

Problem solved: update the BIOS does.

Unfortunetaly Lenovo does not offer a one-click - Update BIOS for U410 Touch. But it also works with the U410 (without contact).

    Download it here:

  • Lenovo U410 - cannot access BIOS

After I pressed Fn + F2, the message in the lower left corner changed "press fn + f2... "to"pending ". But then, it accesses the windows system.

I also tried with F2 without success. FN + F12 does not even change the message to the start screen.

I suspect it has something to do with UEFI-mode Setup of Windows 8. Since then, I have this problem of BIOS.

Try to disconnect the battery of the BIOS as well as any other power source. It shows a checksum error and the message "Press F2 for boot options." If I press F2, but it just goes back to Windows again. After that, there is no error message more, but the problem is still there. Nothing changes fundamentally.

Is any method of recovering the BIOS for this laptop available? There is still no BIOS file official website but.

  • Cannot access UEFI on u410, rather onekey recovery option appears

I recently reset my laptop to factory default using the reset Windows 8 option, and now when I want to access the UEFI settings I get a prompt onekey recovery instead. Is it possible to get around because I just transferred my files and I don't want to reset everything again. I tried searching the Internet for a solution or explanation, but I have not found.

    Hello, thanks for posting!

I turned off my laptop for a bit, and then you press the NOVO button. There was an option in the BIOS Setup, but when I chose it the normal login screen appears. I tried to go to UEFI, but the same thing happens where appears the OneKey recovery fast. I turned off the computer again and using the NOVO button I chose Menu start or something similar, and I get the OKR again. I don't know if it's supposed to happen, but before I did a factory reset I could access to UEFI.

EDIT: So I googled some more info on how the NOVO button does not work as expected and I found this post:

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/IdeaPad-Y-U-V-Z-and-P-series/lastest-BIOS-to-Flash-for-Lenovo-U410-I-can...

I've updated the BIOS using this link and I can access now! I guess I wasn't looking in the right places for the solution, but that the update is obscure and I really wonder why it is not available on the official website.

  • U410 mouse driver

I just bought a Lenovo u410 and I had to try and reinsall the driver of the Synaptics touchpad. I managed to uninstall the driver, but I tried to install the new driver listed on the Lenovo site only to be met with an error indicating that I need to install the 64-bit version of DPinst rather than the 32-bit one. The downlod link said that it was for 32 and 64 bit versions? So now I'm a little stuck. Any ideas?

  • Key for the function

I recently bought my Lenovo u410, and I seem to have a problem. The media and f1, f2, f3 and keys etc are on the same keys, and that's where my problems; I play games on the computer and I use f1, f2, f3 key while playing these games. Whenever you press the function keys, he recognizes it instead as a key media and I have to press Fn + F # and it's quite annoying. It is a computer of Windows 8 and the BIOS has no setting to turn on Fn lock and there is no locking function button more.

    Help!

Good day and welcome to the community.

    Have a look at: http://service.lenovo.partner-management.com/content/CoursewarePublic/15415/U310_BIOS.swf

Specifically the Configuration tab and the hotkey Switch element. I think that in Legacy Mode it will pass the standard F1, F2 F keys, etc.

    Kind regards.

  • Physical button power problems

    Hello

I got my Lenovo U410 a year ago (it will be a year of the end of October), and I loved it, since I got it but a anoyone else noticed how filmsy power button is? Very thin and sometimes a small corner of it will get stuck under the frame. I thought it was pretty normal and dealed with my own way, but then this morning it stopped me to start.

I tried both with the AC adapter / in and out, held for 30 seconds and all the other methods, but it does not turn on. It was as if something had got stuck behind the key and it kept me from fully pressing down. I don't think my handeling and care is in the present case, given that I managed to keep a HP Pavilion DV2700 healthy since 2008.

Is it a manufacturing error, design, or is my phone just a fluke? I really don't want this to happen.

I realized what it was. It was a problem of physics with the computer. The key on the receiver under the button was worn out and had to be replaced. I don't know why he had used if fast (I had the laptop for just a little over a year). You'd pay a little more than half a grand for a laptop would make to the less lasting for two or three years. Thanks Lenovo. Really.

I think that the window could open some programs after the cut or in "scheduled tasks".

I tried to use the Autoruns and gradually disable some elements in the tab "connection", then in the tab "regular " tasks"and restarted the computer. If she doesn't havenot helped, then I myself allow their return and I would try to disable other elements.
