E-mail BlackBerry API.

Hello

I create a socket to my servlet to send the mail from my application (I need more control of my server)

but for that I need the host, the user name, the password and the port of the user's e-mail account.

Is it possible to retrieve this information using blackberry api?

Thank you.

No standard API BlackBerry.

As I understand it, the Blackberry connects directly to your e-mail account as a client SMTP anyway, so I don't even think this information exists on the device.

Personally, after installing various controls in order to ensure that our server is NOT used as a relay, I highly doubt that you will be able to link into the email account of the user in the way you described it, even if you have this information.

  • E-mail blackBerry 10 issue - REALLY remove * beep! *

    I know that there are two threads running already on this issue and I posted this message on CrackBerry, also, but I'm so disappointed that I had to start a new one here. My apologies.

    For years, when the removal of e-mails, BlackBerry had the options to undo the deletion, delete the email (s) on the device or remove the email (s) on the device AND the server.

    Having the choice to delete an e-mail specific right on the device allows me to keep the Inbox clean while allowing me to deposit or otherwise process this message on my PC later, which is essential for me because I get a lot of such messages. Have a chance to delete an email on the server, and the cell gets rid of spam or irrelevant messages quickly and efficiently. Have two options when you delete a message makes my life very easy.

    I am so APPALLED that BlackBerry so cavalierly decided to axe just this option!

    WHY, WHY, WHY mess with something that has worked / works perfectly!

    I have been a loyal BlackBerry user for many years, and Q10 is my sixth handset. I have eight accounts for various purposes and use more than any other email on my cell phone. Two main reasons why I'm sticking with the BB are (1) the physical keyboard (2) fantastic and robust e-mail management. If I wanted a 'phone' to take pictures with or playing Angry Birds, I would get a few crApple or similar and, of course, expect the O.S. to behave accordingly. BB is supposed to be different!

    There is already an option to activate the deletion confirmation, which has 'clear' and 'Cancel' buttons How hard goddamn was and would it have been to add a third option "on this phone only?

    BB, Holy shit, THIS DIFFICULTY!

    Well, I've just updated the os to 10.2.1.537 and options to delete e-mails right on the phone, the server, or both are back!

    Wow...

    I'm impressed, BlackBerry.  There's a reason I have been a loyal customer of BB for over a decade.

    THANKS FOR LISTENING TO US!

    I really wish that more people would realize that BlackBerry mops the floor with the iPhone and similar toys.

  • is not abstract and does not substitute the abstract method callLogRemoved (net.rim.blackberry.api.phone.phonelogs.CallLog)

    Can someone tell me why im getting the following error

    is not abstract and does not substitute the abstract method callLogRemoved (net.rim.blackberry.api.phone.phonelogs.CallLog)

    callLogRemoved is set, I tried to remove it and it also gives me the same error

    Here is my code

    Thanks in advance for answer

    Net.rim.blackberry.api.phone import. *;
    Net.rim.blackberry.api.phone.phonelogs import. *;
    //*******************************************************************************//
    public class mylistener extends Thread implements {PhoneLogListener}

    {} public void callLogRemoved (int arg0)
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    System.out.println ("CallLog removed');
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    }
    {} public void callLogAdded (int arg0)
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    System.out.println ("CallLog added");
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    }
    ' public void callLogUpdated (int arg0, int arg1) {}
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    System.out.println ("CallLog update");
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    }
    {} public void reset()
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    System.out.println ("CallLog Reset");
    System.out.println("/***/"); "
    }

    }

    Javadoc documentation:

    public void callLogRemoved (CallLog cl)

    but you have coded:

    public void callLogRemoved (int arg0)

    An int is not a CallLog, so these signatures do not match.

  • BlackBerry API supports the reflection?

    Hello

    So far, I found no clue as the BlackBerry api support for reflection.  As we know, if this is supported, which would bring so much practice. (Android has this support now.)

  • Is there available in Blackberry e-mail verification APIs?

    Hello

    I developed application in which I send you emails, now I want to validate the email address. There the APIs available in Blackberry that checks if the given address is correct or not?

    whole body has a solution or extract any code or any useful links, that would be appreciated.

    Thank you

    Tarik Shah

    Not sure what you mean by "validating".

    If you use the filter text of mail (such as EmailAddressTextFilter) or the EmailAddressTextField, the system will do a reasonable job to ensure that only acceptable characters are entered.

  • net.rim.blackberry.api.mail.ServiceConfiguration

    I could see ServiceConfiguration class package rim... is there a method/logic equivalent it in cordova/webwork api in webworks 2.0? I need to get the email as

    Session mailSession = Session.getDefaultInstance ();
    ServiceConfiguration config = mailSession.getServiceConfiguration ();

    Balu

    Hi, Balu, not is not a 'messaging service' plugin still available for WebWorks 2.0 / Cordova.

    You need to write your own plugin wrapping any corresponding native API in a container of JavaScript, similar to what other devs are here: https://github.com/blackberry/WebWorks-Community-APIs/tree/master/BB10-Cordova

    Hi GRohn,

    Thanks for the question.

    The recording feature is no longer available on the BlackBerry® 10 devices. On BlackBerry 10 devices, you can mark a message that will record it in the BlackBerry® application to remember. Steps to completing this can be found here: mark a message
