E228WFP, screen buzzing?

Recently, I started using this old monitor again and it was working fine until it says random humming. I use it with a split screen with a newer monitor (Dell S2440L) on a computer Inspiron 660. Is it possible to fix the hum?

Normally the hum is the result of the brightness on the E228WFP control. To test this, raise and lower the brightness, is the buzz volume change when you do this?

    _ * History: * _

Don't know if it's not important, but just to let you know, so interested what happened at the laptop ;)
I bought the laptop in the form of computers (in the Netherlands) asked that laptop mentioned above, with 2 things have changed. I wanted more memory, and I wanted windows XP. The shop told me it was possible. They bought me the laptop, they replaced with memories of kingston memory. They installed windows XP instead of Vista. They portable worked at that very moment. So, I bought the laptop to work with 1 year warranty.
With the additional files given with the laptop, I could increase my warranty from 1 to 2 years free, so I did.

After a few weeks that I noticed that the laptop became real probably hot after prolonged use. But according to the manual, it was normal.
I used the laptop to the games, but also 2 months for a study of play. So I take several times at school in a backpack.
After using only not for school, I reinstalled Windows Vista 32 BIT

When a very uncertain when exactly, I noticed that it does (probably same problem as I have now) but I was really relaxed about, tried subsequently and in some way, it worked again. It happened maybe about 5 times in total.
Knowing something was wrong, I brought computers to the form. They checked. (No not showing me what they did to her) But he told me that I had nothing to fear.

After about 2 years, I actually sold this laptop to my mother. She used once or twice (she really looks like noob, just about computers in general, without even knowing if it should double click on the icons or not) she took him one or two times on TRIPS and they after about 2 years and 2 months... this problem happened.

My mom knows a guy and a friend of this guy, work a lot with laptops broken, who told me that the problem was the motherboard _ + _.

I decided to take it back to the shop. After a long class being there (about 6 to 8 weeks) (I go to the store like 15 times). The shop was able to tell me it was the motherboard. That the motherboard could not be fixed and a new way to expensive.
+ (I have known at this point, after the motherboard, what this laptop was not open yet. The screws were still new). +
Funny information (not for me), this period of about 8 weeks, in fact we me lies like... I left a message on your voicemail, I do not HAVE a voicemail... Sorry for the caps, but im still xxxxxx on these lies.

Therefore still believe in the shop... my laptop has gone... dead... but so since last week, I started looking into the laptop I... (Fixing)

  • A60: dvd shows black screen through digital projector

    Hello.

Our school has purchased a large number of laptops A60, that teachers plan to use in conjunction with our digital projectors Sanyo. However it was discovered that, while the office and DVD controls, display etc. on the whiteboard with success, the real DVD appears simply as a black screen. We have updated graphics drivers, you press fn & f5, etc, but can't find any way to get the images to show through the projector. We have no problem with other laptops to school.

Help much appreciated on an urgent basis.

    Thank you.

    Hello

If I understand right you want to start the movie on DVD and watch it using the projector. Am I wrong?

I guess you use preinstalled DVD player, called WinDVD. If Yes please try starting your laptop, change the external device (projector) using the FN + F5 key combination. If this happens successfully, then you should try to start the WinDVD player. If you want to change the display using FN keys, while the DVD player works it is possible that there is not any screen success only in black.

  • Windows XP Home edition does not charge up - screen Toshiba and then nothing

I opened my computer to stand by earlier. And received an error message such as:

WINDOWS CANNOT CONTINUE RUNNING BECAUSE THE FILE IS DAMAGED AND UNREADABLE...
Then he had a countdown until it restarted. After the computer restarted (loads of screen toshiba upwards) then nothing happends. I managed to get into the safe mode start page, but when I select start in safe mode, it does nothing, actually freezes. Seems that the problem is with XP.

I also tried to "last good configuration" but who also refuses to load.
I can, however, in the BIOS.

The black and white background writes startup screen that flashes briefly upward when after that the toshiba screen doesn't even come to the top.

Is this a hardware problem? I lose data?

I am aware that my system was clean and I was using a good anti-virus.

Please please let me know if you have any suggestions or comments.

    Thanks in advance, Max...

    Hi RisSsky,

you are in a deep deep sh... t... No. not really...
Looks like the filestructure hard disk is damaged.
the hard drive is recognized by the bios? means, it is listed as a device?
There is a sound of the hard drive? scratch or buzzing or ticking?

CHKDSK may help, but I would 'safe mode' where you want not to lose data on disk.

don't panik, we will do things.

2 options to solve this problem:
    the first and save:
-Remove the old hdd (you need later)
-get a new hard drive and make a recovery/installation on the new drive.
-also get a usb - hdd connector to access old data hdd and copy on the new disk.
    or the 2nd:
-run chkdsk on your hard drive, maybe you need to do this with a "live-system-on-cd.
Be aware that if there is a problem it will get worse...
    -start in safe mode

If you're lucky, the 2nd option will do.
as said before I'd do it "the safe way.

  • Illuminated screen and Hum on Satellite A50

    Hello

I had a little problem with the screen on my laptop for a few months, but its gradually getting worse. Side of the screen was once much lighter as the other, but you can always see what is happening. As time passed the thinning area became bigger and now his covereing half of my screen.

There is also a buzz that sounds like a short circuit connector from the top of the laptop near the hinges. This random noise sometimes stay for hours and sometimes only appear not for hours.

The research on the forums I think it is a problem with the inverter but before i but one and start to tear my laptop outside, I wish that all comments comments on this problem to see if anyone else has had a similar problem.

    Picture here: http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2527956/laptopscreen.jpg

    Thanks for any comments, everyone.

    Hello

He s not easy to say what role could be affected but it looks like a FL inverter problem because this small part controls the backlight of the display
Of course, it could be a faulty screen too, it would be a big problem because the LCD is one of the expensive parties for laptop and the screen replacement would be a costly affair

I guess it would be interesting to replace the screen since the A50 is an old and a new laptop would be more expensive as a replacement of the screen.

    Welcome them

  • HPE140F pc - game crash/screen black screen mode 'sleep' and more problems

I recently bought an HP computer refurbished not even 2 weeks ago: HPE140F

While playing world of Warcraft, the screen goes black and the screen goes into sleep mode.  There is also a strong buzz.

In addition, the CPU fan makes a lot of noise.

I contacted HP customer service and they couldn't help me.  They said to talk to a technician level 2, I would have to PAY for the service.

This is completely ridiculous.  I want a solution or this pos is going back to the store.

I am a customer very very unhappy.  Poor service, defective PC, nothing but problems.

You can mark this resolved.  I was ready to pack the PC up, when I remembered I had bought a video card Geforce 9 Series several months ago and never installed in my old computer.  I took a chance and installed in the HP.  Voila!  The machine now runs like a dream.  No noise noisy fan and he's playing my favorite games in 3D spectacular I contacted HP support and they conceed that it was probably a defective video card (I checked on the WOW forums, several people have played the game fine with the GeForce GT 230 and had no problems).  I'll send it in an Exchange and will try on my old pc I always around.

I will be in part with positive feedback, update of the card in the HP was extremely easy, indeed with the opening of the case the entire seemed well organized and easily extensible.  I plan to get a power of 500W Rocketfish and Im happy that it will be an easy installation.

    Thank you all!

    Keep in-game!

Lately has been a problem with my computer. I think that maybe the graphics card is wrong.

    I have a:

    HP Envy 700PC

    Model: 700-300z

    Still under warranty

    Everything is the same

    Upgrade to Windows 10

The first time it happened I was listening to music on Pandora while working in the room. I look above on my HP screen it say "Signal entry not found" screen will sleep mode but I couldn't ehre still play music. I repeated press ENTER, but he wouldn't return. After several reboots, the screen came back to the top.

Recently happened during the game World OF Tanks. What's happened is that my speakers are beginning to make a buzzing sound. He is yet to come of the audio, but it is really low. I then restart my computer to see if that solves the snoring. The HP logo appears and windows 10 thing round runs below it. Then my screen turns off and says 'not found input Signal. I repeated press ENTER, but it is not. I reboot and still the same thing happens, restart again and it's same thing, once again, but this time it starts normally. Once rebooted Windows speak it sound goes.

Last night I was playing WOT and the same thing happened with the speakers hum. I went to restart and got the white screen with the 'not found input Signal. I hit enter but he wouldn't do anything. I restart 3 times and still the same problem and the snoring has not disappeared while the screen was blank. I unplugged my power and the HDMI from the screen. I got out my old screen and hung up and that the screen worked fine and I've been to my login screen. Then I logged. Then I unplugged my old screen and hung to the top of my screen and my screen was now working well and rose windows.

I'm tired in making sure that the HDMI is secured to the back of the tower and when I wiggled it my speakers started to hum again. I left if go and after awhile the snoring got quieter.

I opened the tower and my graphics card fan works well, and there is no dust.

I've updated all my drivers with "Drive Booster" and they are all up to date.

    Thank you for product information...

What is likely to happen, it's that, as is all too typical, that the UPGRADE of Win10 have not installed the drivers for your video card, so that Windows can not see properly.

The good news is that HP does not provide Win10 video drivers for your PC, at this link: http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-ENVY-700-300-Desktop-PC-series/6886619/model/6890453

The bad news is that HP provides several other different, and I have no way to know which driver is made to your machine because I have no way of knowing what video hardware, he has in him.

If you look in Control Panel-> Device Manager and there it says that you have the hardware, then you will know which driver to download and install.

    Good luck

  • Screen is full of vertical stripes of color and unresponsive - iPhone 6

    Hello

From time to time, the screen of my iPhone 6 stops working. The screen is filled with vertical stripes of color, and I don't see the content on the screen briefly, somehow by the bands. After that, it becomes black. Nothing works on the screen or buttons, but if I get a message, the phone buzz. The connection to my watch also works, but the screen is green or black. It stays like that, I tried the soft reset, several "home" button push... and anything else I can think of. After awhile, it works again as usual... In recent times this has happened every day, so I need to fix it!

Try the reset, and the error is still there. The phone is less than a year and has never been exposed to wet or damp or fallen climate on the ground...

First of all, it happened a few weeks after I plugged my new watch. Can this be a problem?

Anyone know what it is? And how to fix it?

    Ingeborg :)

It's probably a coincidence that you coupled to a watch just before it happened. Stripes and color screens normally suggest a hardware problem. Hardware issues will be also solved by a restore. I recommend that you take your phone to a Genius Bar or an Apple authorized service provider. -AJ
