A60: dvd shows black screen through digital projector

Hello.

Our school has purchased a large number of laptops A60, that teachers plan to use in conjunction with our digital projectors Sanyo. However it was discovered that, while the office and DVD controls, display etc. on the whiteboard with success, the real DVD appears simply as a black screen. We have updated graphics drivers, you press fn & f5, etc, but can't find any way to get the images to show through the projector. We have no problem with other laptops to school.

Help much appreciated on an urgent basis.

Thank you.

Hello

If I understand right you want to start the movie on DVD and watch it using the projector. Am I wrong?

I guess you use preinstalled DVD player, called WinDVD. If Yes please try starting your laptop, change the external device (projector) using the FN + F5 key combination. If this happens successfully, then you should try to start the WinDVD player. If you want to change the display using FN keys, while the DVD player works it is possible that there is not any screen success only in black.

Good bye

    Thank you

You can try to start your 220 s in VGA mode (video low resolution).

To start your computer in low video mode resolution, follow these steps:
    1. remove all floppy disks, CDs and DVDs from your computer and restart your computer.
    2. hold the F8 key as your computer restarts.
    3. in the Advanced Boot Options screen, use the arrow keys to select Activate video low resolution (640 × 480)and press enter.

If the problem is not reappear low resolution mode, then the question is probably associated driver. You may be able to resolve this problem by updating the video driver with the latest version of Dell or Intel.

Uninstall all the Internet Plugins (Adobe Flash Player - all the of them, Adobe Shockwave Player, Apple Quicktime and iTunes if installed, Microsoft SilverLight, RealPlayer [or RealAlternative]), and then restart the computer.

Download and install the plugins that you uninstalled.  The most recent versions.

    Reset.  Try again.

You can disable hibernation if it is enabled and you do not...

When you Hibernate your computer, Windows saves the contents of the system memory in the hiberfil.sys file. As a result, the size of the hiberfil.sys file will always be equal to the amount of physical memory in your system. If you don't use the Hibernate feature and want to reclaim the space used by Windows for the hiberfil.sys file, perform the following steps:

-Start the Control Panel Power Options applet (go to start, settings, Control Panel, and then click Power Options).
-Select the Hibernate tab, uncheck "Activate the hibernation", and then click OK. Although you might think otherwise, selecting never under "Hibernate" option on the power management tab does not delete the hiberfil.sys file.
-Windows remove the "Hibernate" option on the power management tab and delete the hiberfil.sys file.

You can control the amount of space your system restore can use...

    1. Click Start, right click my computer and then click Properties.
    2. click on the System Restore tab.
    3. highlight one of your readers (or C: If you only) and click on the button "settings".
4 change the percentage of disk space you want to allow... I suggest moving the slider until you have about 1 GB (1024 MB or close to that...)
    5. click on OK. Then click OK again.

You can control the amount of space used may or may not temporary Internet files...

Empty the temporary Internet files and reduce the size, that it stores a size between 64 MB and 128 MB...

-Open a copy of Microsoft Internet Explorer.
    -Select TOOLS - Internet Options.
-On the general tab in the section 'Temporary Internet files', follow these steps:
-Click on 'Delete the Cookies' (click OK)
-Click on "Settings" and change the "amount of disk space to use: ' something between 64 MB and 128 MB. (There may be many more now.)
    -Click OK.
-Click on 'Delete files', then select "Delete all offline content" (the box), and then click OK. (If you had a LOT, it can take 2 to 10 minutes or more).
-Once it's done, click OK, close Internet Explorer, open Internet Explorer.

As often occurs when the wrong VGA driver is installed.  This occurs when the view Agent is installed on the desktop, and then the VMware Tools is updated after the fact.  The result is the driver included with the Agent to view VGA is replaced with the VGA driver in VMware Tools.  You can see some advantages to the relocation of the Agent of the view, or update the VMware Tools and then install the Agent from the view.

  • VM shows black screen after power on

My server is a 2003 SP 2, 1 hard drive with 2 partitions C (40 GB actual) and E (500GBactual). I have recently re proposed that a box in a vSphere 5.5 with a 1 TB of space. I used the converter 5.0.1 on the physical area.

My initial P2V took more than 4 days! I tried the hotfix increases performance of cloning , but there is no change, to make a long story short I started it this weekend. Came Monday and he was done. I turned on the virtual machine and it works correctly, but I got a black screen, no cursor, nothing.

The only thing that came out then Setup the initial P2V was I tried to activate the 'sync' function, but could not, sysprep files were missing. I don't know if it's related or not? I thought down ranking to 5.1 and start again but I figure I have ask first.

    Any help would be appreciated.

Just to update... I converted one of the partitions (program files) and tried to restart the virtual machine. I got the same result. I read somewhere that change the logical SCSI's Bus type at LSI logic could be the problem. I changed the setting and tried again - same result. Then I went back to the logic of Bus and he fed up, and it worked! Don't ask how or why to buy the virtual machine correctly.

Don't know if anyone has had this happen? Thanks again for all the help!

    Hi all

I have a similar problem with A100-646 (purchased in Italy). Computer laptop LCD and monitor external display screen black but without another problem at the start of the system. When the laptop is not used for a long time (half a year) it works for a week with no problems.

Unfortunately, there is no adequate service in a place where I live. Perhaps, there is a power problem.

Is there another idea? Does anyone have a service manual? ([email protected])

Service manuals are available only for the technicians of the ASP.
Unfortunately, it looks like a hardware problem, and therefore, you should get in contact with a technician for laptop to check defective parts!
