E3000 random lag spikes (games)

Hello

I went to the Linksys E3000 router, and there is a problem with peaks of lag when playing online. I use a wireless network, and it wasn't a problem until I started using the new E3000 router.

I tried to change the automatic configuration of WLAN on the PC and I tried to turn on the multimedia / gaming environment for wireless network card. Have also tried to disable the virus check. But no luck.

So I suspect the router

_________

The problem more precisely:

Plays and completely out of the blue I lag spikes from time to time. It may happen once every ten seconds when the game freezes for a second or less. But it varies how many times it happens, not regularly, but it's more or less all the time.

I tried different games, the same phenomenon occurs. (Counter-strike 1.6, counter-strike source, Call of Duty: Black Ops, counter-strike Condition Zero)

_________

Any suggestions? Very frustrating when games online is impossible.

OK, finally.

It was something with my driver, I uninstalled everything. And when I'm jusing windows 7 driver for my network card everything works.

"Thanks for the support here-.-

  • Random lag spike online game.

I meet spike of random lag when playing the game online (RF Online), I'm sure that's not FPS lag because my laptop can play GTAIV smooth and this online game a little is a very old game (2001). I have never get this problem when you play with xp.

Some sites offering to disable the Media Planner, or disable the autoconfig on my wireless connection, also changed the "limitation of network performance" in the registry to be FFFFFFFF. But none of them solve the problem. Last thing I've done is to reinstall windows 7 and just put the driver necessary to this topic just to launch the game, always the resource monitor showing lag spike on network grap.

1 network test, just run a ping like www.yahoo.com with a - t. This will allow him to operate continuously.

When you view the GAL, tab out to the command prompt and see if the answer you MS jumped a ton.

    2. open the Task Manager. Just look at the performance window, if you see your CPU jumping up to 100 percent, then his computer and you need to know which enriched your cpu, you can do this by looking at the Task Manager process tab.

    3. Digital video glasses. load a game that is not online and see if you have lag spikes (which said you that you do not have)

It could be the way the game works with a driver too, so make sure you have all your latest drivers installed.

Anyone know if microsoft has released a fix.

For those who do not know the question.  First of all, I have disabled wireless.  During the game, as every 60 seconds vista looks for a better connection, however doing so creates a huge lag spike.  That becomes very boring.  I tried a few suggestions online, but none have worked.    Anyone know if microsoft is aware of this and if a fix is coming?  I really don't think as d/l xp drivers.

  • WMP600n lag spikes and slow internet

    Hello

I have problems with WMP600n wireless adapter. I am a pc player, and that I play I get lag spikes with a ping up to 1000 +! Also when I browse the internet, its incredibly slow, or sometimes does not at all. I searched for updates and manually installed them but no luck. I'm kind of crazy because I spent $80 at staples for her. I use it with a router wireless g, but I did research before I bought it and he said it would work with wireless g, and I thought that if we always end up getting a wireless n router, I'll be ready. in any case, I want to enjoy my new computer, but it gets me pissed.

    Thank you

  • HP Pavilion Notebook N5R46UA #A: game lag spikes

I've had this laptop for 7 months now. A few crashes here and there since security_kernal, a couple of other reasons. And I was glad because it doesn't bother me that much. But when my gaming laptop is inable to work when I play a game and causes severe performance problems which should not happen, so I'm frustrated and angry at something that should not happen. I am in possession of a (number of product here) N5R46UA #ABA and I'm tired of what's going on. Example of my problem, I played a plethera of common games that defies material this laptop and have been very well for the majority of my time.

I get in the new Overwatch game recently and have come to really appreciate the gameplay it offers. I did have a problem playing Overwatch until recently however. I noticed that when I play there sometimes a point of massive lag caused by my cpu on slow program. I have the impression that this has something to do with the graphics card, but my guess may be as good as yours. I doubt that this question has nothing to do with the game. I think it has more to do with the material.

It turns out that I was using the charger of my mother for his little computer from Hewlett packard. Problem solved. Please do not respond to one thing (sarcasm).

  • Random router lag spikes (E2500)

    Hi all

I had intermittent peaks of lag that is particularly noticeable when I play on XBOX Live. I play on the wireless. Whenever this happens, I go on my computer (which is also connected wireless) to pingtest.net and I'm too high ping that 500 + ms with big John as well. I tried a fixed cabling to the router and the same thing happens. I am also sure that there is no intensive use of the internet through all connected devices. I've also upgraded to the latest firmware.

Then I tried a fixed wiring directly to the modem cable my ISP and I never had the problem, so I'm pretty sure that the router itself is at fault here.

Any ideas on what I can do?

Given that you already updated the firmware, do a hard reset on the router. Push and hold the reset button for 30 seconds then it turns off for 10seconds. When the current is solid, do the reconfiguration of the router. For information on how to reconfigure the router, please refer to this link: http://www6.nohold.net/Cisco2/ukp.aspx?vw=1&docid=0ff4c94586a345d082828ec2161aaecf_3686.xml&pid=80&r....

    > computer laptop gets very hot ween playing just five minutes in any game... and the frustrating part is that he ween arrives at 100 c the games lag becose the cpu between thermal protection and lowers the frequency but after the cooler starts to spin it it cools and the frame of the game rate returns to normal...

As you say; the game starts late because the temperature increases to a critical level. That's GPU and CPU performance should be lowered until the temperature would come down.
To me, it seems that the internal parts can not be properly cooled.

To ensure a cooling performance better, please make sure that the cooling fans would be free of dust and air can circulate properly.

Also I recommend you to check the parameters of cooling in the Windows power management settings. The parameters of the single electric plan contains options to control different devices, while the laptop is running in battery mode or to the main stream.
You can set the modules of cooling performance. I think it would be also desirable to diminish the value of 85%-90% max CPU performance, just to check if it would help to eliminate the delay.

When he arrives, the screen goes black and the freezing of the sound.
I brought to the interview, but the components seems fine. I don't know what to do.

    Hello

You should try to use the Toshiba graphics card driver as its use on the drivers from 3rd-party pages could lead to highest GPU temperature that would cause problems.
Additional try update BIOS if newer version is available.

It is still problematic to discuss problems that sometimes occur.
Have you noticed this behavior on all the games you want to play or simply by more recent games?

While gaming, you use your laptop with power plan to high performance?

By the way: shipping info DX is OK but I m 100% sure that no one here will read this.

  • Satelitte P850 Lag spikes / freezes Sound

    Hello out there!

Im having similar problems, such as Andunemir

    (((Salut les gars,))

I just bought a Satellite P875-102 with Windows Home Premium and all software by default, and card and I have a very annoying problem with the sound. Whenever the processor takes a little more time to process information (i.e. a website load) sound freezes for a second and then comes back.

It happens with all my music software and regardless of local or streaming music. Is there a way can I fix? It gets really, really boring and it is a laptop which should do much better than the one with multimedia...

Any help would be welcome. Thank you! )))))

Except that I not only have a lot of programs running, I have the same sound gel and also screen freeze as it would be the offset of the spikes.

The heat of my gpu is up to as 68-70 degrees celsius after like 10 min after ive started a game.
    What's supposed to be normal?

Anyway any help would be very appreciated!

    I sincerely thank you Alex

    Hi guys

Please take a look in this thread:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=67087

The problem may be caused by driver/software installed, who insists a lot on the CPU.
You must use a program like * LatencyMon and DPC latency Checker * to find out the process of the pilot/origin of this problem.

Please post some details how you solved it and what process/driver caused this questions

  • Animations lag in Finder / Lag in games

    Hello

I have an old Mac Pro (early 2009 with updates) who constantly had minor amounts of offset of the animation in the Finder. They are not too problematic, but they are extremely annoying, that the animations run much slower then my Macbook Air (2 GHz i7 8 GB, 10.10.5). 2012 The shift is particularly bad when resizing windows and when you drag windows between monitors.

However, the worst shift occurs in games. I tried cities horizons, and it was completely unplayable, hardly could force him to leave the game with how late he caused; and I tried Team Fortress 2, which takes a long time to start (about a minute and a half) and seems so struggling to load anything, then in the game (shift of things only when an update happens, almost like bad ping, but my ping is always less than 30ms, and tried several servers).

I also tried to play Team Fortress Classic, is going very well, without delay, if it is to be expected from a 17 year old game.

I also found some sites that use HTML5, such as http://mozvr.com/, also of lag, but only above certain resolutions (clocked at 1440 p lags, but about 720 p is not running).

All the games work very well when running on Windows (installed on a separate DSS), so I think I can rule out a hardware problem. It would be nice, if I could run games through VMWare Fusion (8.1.0), but it requires too much is hit with general shift (start-up out of my bootcamp partition) is not there when you run Windows natively.

I tried various fixes, such as the reduction of transparency, compensation windowserver hide, reset the SMC and LANDAU and even tried to upgrade to El Capitan (10.11.3) which many users say fix problems of shift of Yosemite, but I found that it only amplify them to the point that the operating system was almost unusable.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Relevant system specs:

Mac Pro (early 2009, updated the firmware) 5.1

    2 x Xeon X 5675 @ 3.06 GHz

    64 GB at 1333 MHz ECC DDR3

2 x Nvidia Quadro 4000 (card OEM Mac, a PC version, latest version of web driver Nvidia)

    2 x Dell U2515h monitor (2560 x 1440 @ 60 Hz) *.

OWC Accelsior S with Samsung 850 Evo 500 GB SSD (boot OS X, 6 GB/s drive)

SSD OCZ Vertex 2 240 GB (Bootcamp with Windows 7, 3Gbps)

Drobo S with five 3 TB WD red (games is stored here, 5Gbps over USB 3.0 via an Asus USB 3.1 PCIe card) *.

    * Note: I tried to run the monitors with lower resolutions, but the offset Finder still exists.

    * Note: The reads/writes on the Drobo are normally very fast, so I doubt that problems loading TF2 stem. (I tried to transfer my SSD without result)

Running a third-party SSD as your boot drive? have you taken steps to allow the FILLING?

  • IdeaPad Y580 occasional Lag in games question

So I have a window 7 Lenovo IdeaPad Y580, I used it for less than a month, but something happened a little. Sometimes so that the games, it would be Super Lag a few seconds, and then it goes back to a good game of race still once, but another few seconds more later something smooth, it will be Super Lag a few seconds yet back down to smooth, and the cycle just keeps going: Lag-UnLagg-Lagg - UnLagg.I might solve this problem by restarting the PC but then the next time I use it again , lets face the fact, the problem will exist again, no idea what is wrong with my Y580? Thanks for the help.

Are playing you games without connected charger because having plugged in seems to correct the offset or at least it did for me

  • Think Pad E430 lag spikes/short freezes

My laptop freezes randomly once in a while a few seconds. The sounds of problem like this:

    http://forums.Lenovo.com/T5/ThinkPad-edge-S-series/ThinkPad-edge-E530-system-freezes-every-few-secon...

But CC cleaner does not solve the issue.

The problem occurs with nearly all programs such as microsoft word, for example if I type and it freezes, the words will come out after it thawed.

Before freezing, the laptop become usually very quiet and then a few seconds later, something turns and freezes the computer. I can assume that it is the HARD drive. However, the computer does not freeze whenever the hard disc spins loudly.

When the drive is running strong, the HARD disk activity spikes in Manager tasks and the 'system' is the program that corresponds to the tip which is 'ntoskrnl. However, the transfer of data is more than 0.1 MB/s during the outbreak.

I tried to start in safe mode and I'm not very sure if it worked. The disc spins loudly far less often but the gel does not seem to occur. Safe mode is of tells me that it is a program/internet connection / (maybe the system) which makes this gel.

I tried a scan of the hard drive using the lenovo Solution Center and found no problem.

Also tried the antivirus scan using windows defender and found nothing after a comprehensive analysis.

    Finally the specifications:

    OS: Windows 8
HARD drive: 1 TB (750 GB upgrade)

RAM: 8 GB (4 GB upgrade)

    Intel Core i5 3210 M @2. 5 GHz to 2.5 GHz

    BIOS: v2.52

I think I've solved the problem. In one of the startups, I received a message that svchost.exe was unable to start up and him freezes disappeared. I found the location of it in appdata and it seems to be a disguised virus. Windows Defender does not detect but malwarebytes did, so I solved the problem by analyzing my computer with malwarebytes. It was already 1 week because I tried and I have not had those freezes again.
