  • Qosmio F60-111 was delivered without the recovery disks

    Dear support team,

Yesterday 31/07/2010, I went to the distributor of Toshiba in Saudi Arabia and I bought the Qosmio F60-111, Jarir Book Store.

When I got home, I found that the package do not have the recovery disks, or the operating system.

So please I want to know is the problem?
Buy this laptop powerful and to be surprised that they don't have a recovery disc?

I checked the package so many times and I could not find any disk!

Please let me know if this is normal or I don't know.
According to me, I'm being scammed: S

    Anis.

    Hi mate.

First of all, you should take a look in the user manual of your Qosmio F60 and read the entire manual carefully.

You will find information on the laptop and the recovery disks.
The point is that you can create a clean recovery disc using the Toshiba recovery disc Creator called preinstalled tool.
But all this information is in the user manual too.

    Welcome them

  • Upgrading RAM for the Qosmio F60-111

    Hello

This is my first thread here

I intend to improve my ram 6 GB to 8 GB of DDR3 memory
intalled ram are currently 2 sticks of DDR3 1066 Mhz 4 GB and 2 GB
I couldn't find a key 4 GB 1066 Mhz on the local market; available only 1333 mhz.

If I have installed DDR3 1333 mhz 4GB stick with the original 4 GB of DDR3 1066 mhz, my laptop works perfectly?

Another issue is my laptop motherboard can support frequency 1333 mhz ram?

    my laptop is Qosmio F60-111

    Hello

The FSB seems to be limited to 1066 Mhz.
So even if you want to use the faster memory modules (i.e. 1333 Mhz), the speed could be clocked up to 1066 Mhz.

So, of course, you can use the 1333 Mhz modules.

It would be also possible to mix modules: 1066 Mhz and 1333 Mhz

  • Disk replacement HARD Qosmio F60-111

    Hello

There was a hardware error in my laptop and the dealer told me that there is an error with a hard drive and it will be replaced under warranty.

My question is that is that the new drive will come with the same configuration and the score of the original hard drive? I mean that it will be a breast hidden restore partition?

    My laptop is Qosmio F60-111

    Concerning

    > My question is that is that the new drive will come with the same configuration and the score of the original hard drive? I mean that it will be a breast hidden restore partition?

The new drive HARD would not be partitioned and contain all the data!
After replacing HARD drive, you must use the recovery disk in order to install the system, the drivers, tools and for the partitioned HARD drive.

Did you create a recovery disk in the past?

  • Qosmio F60-111 - HDD is dead

I have a Qosmio F60-111 6 months ago and I have a problem with the hard drive.
The computer expert my computer has a sensitive hard drive, even just a low vibration can destroy or damage my hard drive.

My hard drive is now damage because of this sensitivity.
Is it true that the hard drive from toshiba qosmio is easy to be damage?

If it is true, I can able to ship from one place to another with damage them my hard drive?

    Hi mate

I put t know if the Qosmio HARD drive may be damaged easily

As far as I know that the laptop was equipped with one common 640 GB (5400 RPM) SATA HDD and the HDD is used in several different books of different laptop manufacturers.

But the laptop supports the new future Toshiba called TOSHIBA HDD Protection (3D sensor) and this sensor stops the disk head HARD moving if the laptop would be moved or shaken to this future protect the HARD drive and helps save the life of HARD drive

But he should know that the HARD drive is something that's going to die, sooner or later this has nothing to do with the laptop or laptop manufacturer, but with the use of the HARD drive
I have had many computers and laptops in the past and three of my drive HARD died after awhile of use

So if the warranty is still valid, you can replace the HARD drive for free, but if the guarantee is not valid more then you pay for the replacement

  • Qosmio F60-111 - HARD drive replacement

I have a F60-111 and he had a problem bad hard drive several months ago, he was not even a year and was already late and crashing all the time. I have 3 years international warranty for it, so I sent the laptop in Saudi Arabia and the hard drive was replaced in January, I got just now, but I am disappointed. The laptop works, of course, but the replacement hard drive was only 100 GB, which is a big downgrade of its original capacity of 600 GB.

My problem is my laptop has been repaired, but it was replaced by a lower capacity hard drive. I feel blurry, am I entitled to compensation? Thank you.

    Hello

That s is truly amazing. Please don t wait so long and communicate with this service as soon as possible. Explain the situation and ask their explanation. Something like that should not happen, and the defective HARD drive must be exchanged with the same.

If they do not cooperate you should comment a threat by directly contacting Toshiba.

What do you think of this?

  • Question HDMI on Qosmio F60-111

    Hi all

I have a strange problem with my computer laptop HDMI port. I searched a lot, read the operating instructions, tried all the solutions available online and was not able to solve the problem.

I have connected the HDMI cable between the laptop and the LCD LG screen while both are activated. It wasn't me don't give a "no signal", then I tried the manual and used the key shortcut "FN + F5" but only found the LCD screen of the laptop, then I turned off the laptop and check the BIOS but still no change.

However when I turned off the laptop while turning on the TV screen, the screen was on TV for the first sense of process start when she shows the Qosmio sign and windows startup signal, then the screen turns to the screen the laptop and the TV screen gives me no signal sign.

I also deleted the driver and used the last of them on the support site for the Toshiba driver but still the same error occurs, I also tried not to check the nvidia control panel--> display---> multiple screen---> display rigorous detection still no change.

I ve also checked control HDMI, but have not found anything UN usual all dealing with. I also plugged the HDMI with my other DELL laptop and it worked right away, so I know that there is nothing wrong with cable or TV and channel selection.

    Thank you for supporting

    Hello

Not quite sure what here, s but I think that you should first go to the BIOS and it must default (F9). Save the changes and restart the device.

Also you can remove the battery and the power adapter for a while and should press on and hold button power 30 sec long. Then connect the pieces and turn the power on the unit.

I think that for computer laptop HDMI port is OK because the start of Qosmio screen was visible on TV. So maybe it's just a matter of system (Windows).

You are right, the FN + F5 switches between the internal and external display, so the use of this key combination must allow the screen TV from LG.

Also try to set the HDMI sound as a default value. To configure the audio device for the use of HDMI, follow the steps below:
    1. click on start
    2 settings
    3 Control Panel
    4. material and audio
    5 sound/digital output device (HDMI)
    6. click on the button set as default

If you will not be able to allow the HDMI, I recommend the system recovery

  • Qosmio F60 - 111 - giving speaker static

    Hello

I got my qosmio a month ago and 2 weeks in I installed the updates that the bulletin board toshiba told me. I then started to mix static on the left and right speakers.

Two sound drivers I have installed the toshiba site (which are the same drivers toshiba bulletin board told me) are:

    1 - realtek high definition audio driver - 6.0.1.6062
    2 - nvidia high definition audio driver - 1.00.00.59

After that go threw etc etc Device Manager and driver toshiba download page and after research threw all the forums I decided that it was a software problem that I could not find that I did a system restore. When the system was released in its original state I started having static again about a week (I don't know if its still a software makes it maybe something I have installed. I could have installed that some software again after I made my system recovery, I'm not sure). I downloaded drivermax, who told me that my sound card drivers are outdated so I installed the latest drivers.

    1 - realtek high definition audio driver - 6.0.1.6257
    high definition 2-nvidia - 1.1.13.0 audio player

Even static once was mixed at times. That's what drivermax was showingme.

    http://www.DriverMax.com/driver/drivers.php?computer_id=WR7V6K17D7CIF4OC0TYT88W7IP 783K & iduser = 1693461

However, after installing random different audio drivers (realtek and nvidia) to drivermax, I had sound work in the right speaker. The left speaker gives a lot of static (I went to the sound in Control Panel - properties - and did a test under the Advanced tab bar. There is this high-pitched noise from the speaker of lelft). I don't want to perform a system recovery again once I have just to many files on my drive hard right now even be embarrassed distance to save them again.

How to restore audio drivers to their original state (i.e. before 6.0.1.6062 and 1.00.00.59). Once the audio drivers are restored if we remain static, that would mean probably this is a software problem and I will then do a system recovery. If ago only static left speaker after recovery should I assume that this is just a hardware problem?

    THX :)

Wait a moment please, your ad is somehow a little confused...

When you retrieve your laptop to factory preinstalled drivers with tools, you have the same behavior or not?
After the installation of recovery, you need to check if the automatic driver updates are disabled (Windows Update) and updated TEMPRO for example not necessary.

But when you install the driver of his most recent of the Toshiba page, you have this static noise on external speakers too or is it just related to internal speakers?

    Hello

My Qosmio F60 gets very warm, while gaming and idling, for example, while the cores of game and GPU work around until 75-85Celsius, I don't know how they are idle, but my pumps STILL hot air fan, comparing to all portable computers friends, they don't pump hot heat games unless.

Also while gaming, I get drops FPS while playing, even though I used to run a game on high 60 fps, without drops, now it's on low-head up to about 6 times.

    Help, please.

    Hello

Sorry but here a few questions to better understand:
Are you using the original Toshiba preinstalled the operating system or your own version?
Toshiba display driver you are using.

While gaming laptop is placed on the desk?
    All vents are free?
    Do you use new games?

  • Qosmio F60 - computer laptop freezes

    Hey!

This is the FIRST laptop I've ever put and I loved. I got my qosmio F60 is almost a year and it has this annoying a problem which is the gel.
Here are the specs: Intel Core i5 CPU M 430 2.27 GHz processor / / 6,00 GB and its operating system is 64-bit.

This gel happen more often when I browse through videos uploaded like youtube or out of order in my games. In addition, this can happen when I open a single program. My screen does not black, it literally freezes my screen and all the entries in my keyboard or mouse are ignored. After that, my fan begins to spin wildly and it stays like that. Once I tried to wait for this purpose for one hour, but it has not solved anything. I can say that this happens usually a couple times a week and I often use my qosmio. Oh yes, one more thing, it is there sometimes random lag spikes for about 2-5 seconds that produce the same effect of gel and then it fades.

I am convinced that I am free from virus and I don't remember downloading anything that can be harmful to my qosmio. It's quite annoying too cause I must manually restart my computer by holding the power button and it usually interrupts my school work or save the lives of my friends in a game.

Please answer as soon as possible because I plan to send my qosmio to obtain compensation.

    Hi Dyboy,

What operating system you use on your Qosmio F60? The version preinstalled Windows from Toshiba or your own installation?
It might be useful to reinstall Windows using the Toshiba recovery disc.

Generally speaking, it is difficult to say something about this error sometimes and so I would be to reinstall the whole system. If you can make sure that the problem is not software partner. Just take the recovery disc to do this.

At worst he s really problem of hardware, but it s fairly new specifications model so if your model is under warranty, the repair is free. It is enough to consider an official service provider and let them search your computer. :)

  • Qosmio F60 overheating

Hey guys, just a quick question here...
Ive got a Qosmio F60 laptop and it seems to get very very hot, after 30 minutes of use (games or web browsing), there the base around 95-100 degrees Celsius temperature, and the laptop slows down to almost a crawl. Any suggestions on helping this?

    Hello

Did ever clean you the cooling fans in the past?

Especially dust lead to high internal temperature as the cooling module is unable to run with better performance.
Also affecting the circulation air recommends using a jet of compressed air and blow air through the vents

  • Qosmio F60 - 00Y slow/laggish

    Hello

I have a laptop Qosmio F60 - 00Y which is usually very quick, but last night at around 10:30 - 23:00 (16th September Australian Eastern Standard Time) I noticed that he was behind schedule - scrollbar on Firefox "delayed" rather smooth, so I would scroll down and Firefox would freeze so during a few seconds and then I would be towards the bottom of the page accordingly.

I did a number of things:
-taking the battery out and put new
    -update the BIOS
    -vacuum the outside vents
    -restarted several times
    virus/spyware/malware - controls
    -uninstalled Firefox

All this seemed to improve a bit but it's still not as fast than it was before. I uninstalled Firefox, because I remembered that it was updated yesterday - I'm not sure of the exact time and installed Google Chrome, which is faster, but other applications such as Windows Media Center are still quite slow. Minesweeper even slightly late.

Processor: Intel Core i7 2.67 GHz
    RAM: 4 GB (2.98 usable)
    OS: Windows 7 32-bit

The fan speed is a constant 60-70% according to Health Monitor, I don't know if this is normal.

It takes more time to stop and start what he used, a minute to start and then considerably longer that usual to log and load all of the things that I start up, which isn't much.
Applications take more time to load and trolling, same when I right click on some things it lag which I never had.

I have no idea whether hardware or software. I tried vents because I haven't had that in a while and it gets a little dusty that I it does not move much. The manual recommends cleaning the cooling system every few months, I should try that?

    Thank you.

Try the means to back the OS more early just to see if laptop will work as before. To do this use System Restore tool.
You can find it under Start menu > all programs > Accessories > system tools > system restore.
