E4200 1.0.03 slow transfer from usb storage

Hi, I have a newly formatted (i.e. empty) 2 TB WD my elite book that when I connect it to the usb port on my computer, can transfer a video file of 6 GB to over 100 MB/s depending on the area of detail of win 7.

However, when I connect to the USB port on the back of the e4200 and try to transfer the same file, it only goes to 8 Mbps max... It seems to happen at the speed of usb 1.

I have the latest firmware on both the e4200 and the my book 1111 and everything seems to be working for both, except when it is connected to the e4200, this transfer rate.

Certainly, cisco does not specifically list this drive as being put to the test, but the router recognizes and it shows that usb 2.0, but still the transfer speed is simply too slow.

8 MB/s is simply not feasible... I could just connect the drive directly to the computer and the part of her that way, but jumping on the e4200 has been one of the reasons why I bought the e4200.

Anyone know of anyway to get higher through put... or I just hope that this problem is fixed in a later version of the firmware for the e4200.

THX

THX SGS, I shall take it that...

always seems not just that cisco or someone else this usb capability 'storage' without indicating clearly he'll be almost useless for anything regardless of whether bigger that a USB key, that is, they have need to state its got usb 1.1 capability only... maybe its stated somewhere in their fine print but people like me who have day jobs and family do not appreciate having to understand that do everything themselves the hardway...

I'm mad sorta just enough that I can send this router, since I only had a few weeks... but most likely I'll be too lazy to do that... but now I am mad also sorta as his research like I should not buy one this 2 TB usb drive off Craigslist even for 85 dollars I paid... should get just a disk put it in an envelope and connect to an esata port... Yes that's what I should have dun!

  • Slow start from SuperTalent Express DUO USB

Lenovo G560 is my laptop and I see too slow start this USB thumbdrive in contrast to SanDisk Cruzer Micro. SanDisk's USB 2.0 and SuperTalent USB 3.0 compatible. The boot that would normally take 1 minute, here is 30 minutes.

Legacy USB support is enabled in the BIOS, otherwise boot USB does not work.

  • Portege R500-12 s - problem of recovery (Boot from USB)

    Hello

I tried several days reinstall this laptop (Toshiba PORTÉGÉ R500-12 s). I reinstall drive, but it has no CD-ROM included, so I'm fighting with booting from the USB port, with my external hard drive. Those that the BIOS loads even boot from USB? Because there is no alternative USB inside the boot priority. I noticed that I can choose from, what I think is alternative of different startup in start up, when I press the F12 key. When I press the F12 key and choose USB, I just pup up to a similar cmd command line.

Reinstall is the only option because my laptop is super slow, and I have no restore file (CD) on my laptop

Ultimately is it possible to reinstall windows via USB boot, or do I have to buy an external CD-ROM drive? Which is the last thing I want to do. Advice or assistance on how I'm going to do this?

    Thanks in advance :-)

I put t know if this is possible, but if you can visit Toshiba service in your city, ask them for help. They have all the external devices and also external optical drive.
Buy a coffee and ask if they can install just image recovery using your recovery DVDs. I m that they will help you with this.

By the way: you can not install OS using the recovery saved on the HARD disk image. Laptop can't see it.
What you need is the optical disk drive.
Also, try to borrow a somewhere.

  • Re: Message from Usb hub root

    Hello

I'm doing some research for my friend who has a laptop, model No.
    Toshiba Satellite A200 system Uni
    Model PSAF0A-02L0K number

He recently bought an internet wireless USB

When it connect through USB ports, he receives a message from USB root hub and teaches him that this product can run faster

We are unable to source what is the problem and remedy this problem its Internet works very slowly

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Looks like its USB 1.1 mode operation.

    Possible reasons could be:

    1) there is an another 1.1 rUSB connected device that is causing the key USB 3 G run slower.
    2) there is a conflict installed USB driver, such as a printer driver or a USB storage device driver, or the driver for the camera.
    (3) the Intel Chipset drivers are incorrect or not installed correctly.

Is it on all USB ports?

  • EA4500 LAN slow transfer speeds

I have a WD external hard drive connected via USB 3.0 to the Linksys router. I'm trying to transfer a 2 GB file via wifi but taking up to 12 minutes for the transfer. Why slow transfer speeds?

I'm using 5 GHz Wifi about 3 feet the router. The external drive is a Western Digital MyPassport. The computer I use is a Microsoft Surface Pro 2.

I've uploaded other files and they take so much time with 2.8 MB/s maximum transfer speeds.

    dadayzee,

If you disable WMM on the EA4500 you also turn off the N wireless protocol. That will drastically slow down the wireless connection.

  • Transfer from one server to another

I have an old HP ProLiant with ColdFusion 10 Server on it.   The server is provided Government running Windows Server 2003. It is desperately slow, in particular via the VPN to my company.  SysAdmin in the office gave a VM Windows 2008 R2 server for me and I'm trying to transfer from the old server to the new.   It's a development database.   I downloaded and installed Oracle 11 g on the new server, imported from the old database and the code.  Oracle allows you to download and use the software for free if it is a single-user development machine.   I feel that Adobe doesn't do the same thing with CF.   What is the process to transfer the license?   This project is end of life, my client of Government is unwilling to spend money on a new server or a new software.   Any help would be greatly appreciated.

You can install the free version of ColdFusion developer if it is used only for development purposes.

  • NFS slow transfer speeds

    Hello world

    My scenario:

    FreeNAS with:

    -a CIFS directory

    -a NFS directory

    ESXi 5.1 with:

    -2 guests

    -machines for windows and linux

I added the NFS directory as a new data store on both hosts and began to migrate computers 2. Migration speed is so slow: 1 MB/s or even much cheaper, with peaks of 40 MB/s (very rare spikes).

From a machine windows in my group, I tried to copy a file to the CIFS directory; the speed is ok - about 60 MB/s

Since a Linux in my group, I tried to copy a file to the NFS directory; very slow transfer - 1, 5 MB/s max

Like all machines that he share the same virtual NETWORK card, it is clearly a problem with the NFS or something like that.

Any help on this problem is highly appreciated.

    Thank you

If you use FreeNAS, you can configure iSCSI instead of NFS.

The Protocol is very fast as NFS.

  • Unable to boot from USB 3.0 E430

    Hello community!

I recently got a ThinkPad E430, and I love it.  I have a minor problem with the boot.

As a Linux user, I regularly boot from usb and cd while trying different distributions and whatnot.  However, I discovered that I can't boot from my USB 3.0 ports.  Not only that, but my computer does not start if I have nothing plugged into them.

I first thought that I had faked my dd command in the transfer of the image, but the usb key works from the 2.0 port. So I thought maybe it was the usb key itself, but this happens with all my usb 2.0 flash drives and 3.0.

I noticed a recent bios update a few days, but I don't want to go through the trouble, if she does not really bring all the benefits.  Actually looking at the itt changelog says that it only supports to the B430.

I guess I would really just know if others in the face of this problem.  Thank you!

My E430 fine boots of USB3.0 ports.

I NB520, I tried possible ways to boot from usb and it still does not work.
    I need some suggestions.
    Thank you.

Usually the name of the USB device does not appear in the start menu.
If you want to run rom flash USB memory key, you need to connect the USB flash first.
Press the power button, then F12 and select USB.

But note: USB flash memory stick must be ready for start-up.
If it was not made "bootable" and then the boot from USB does not work.

  • CL10-B-100 satellite - cannot boot from USB Live of Linux

I just bought a Satellite CL10-B-100 (PSKVEE - 00300CG 6) with only 8.1 Windows preinstalled. I need to boot from a linux live usb - without success now. No MSC instead of UEFI option available in BIOS. Secure boot disabled, USB set as first boot priority option. The latest version of the BIOS, I found online is the same as on the computer - 1.00

Any suggestions on how to start from USB Linux?

    Good day

    C.

    Hello

Most modern distributions should be able to start using the UEFI.
However, you forgot to mention what distro you are using.

I assume that your pressing F12 at startup to get the start menu, verify that your key is recognized and select to start him?
Which means that it fails? No not at all, start it begins to start but fall into problems... ?

    Please clarify the situation.

  • Can't boot from USB

    Hi all

I followed the instructions on the site of Ubuntu to create a bootable USB key, but I can't make it work.

All I get is the boot prompt "boot:" if I press on enter it says "not found kernel".

Do I have to have the atom chip intel to use this? I've been trying it on my PC (AMD Thunderbird XP3000 +)

    See you soon

I would say to create a USB bootable from command line. I have personally trust GUI applications. If you want to, you can do it in 1 step, like this:

    * dd bs = 8 M if=path/to/image.img = / dev/SD [x] * + (this command line clears your USB, so backup necessary files first, if necessary). +

    * /dev/ sd [x] * returns the full path of your usb device Let's say + / dev / sdb + and no + / dev / sdb1 +, which is why make sure that you do not have other devices connected to your pc usb storage.

Also first make sure you have your USB not mounted, before writing the image file to it. The image file can be downloaded from [here | http://releases.ubuntu.com/9.04/ubuntu-9.04-netbook-remix-i386.img].

    Enjoy.
