• Police on CS4 problem cannot easily change fonts

  Normally I can arrow down through fonts, for some reason any its not allowing me to do this, when I try and arrow down through the list of fonts to try a word in different fonts, it crosses 10 fonts then goes back to the first, for example my beginning to Myriad pro fonts when I boot Illustrator I can scroll down the following font which is n-gage, and that's as far as I can go unless I physically selects a font diff with the menu - drop down if I choose a different font, and do the same thing, I spend about 10 fonts if I'm lucky, then it goes no further, it's a bug It has not happened before.

  Uncheck the box "Enable missing glyph protection" in type preferences.

  Which leaves you cross the damaged font, but the underlying problem is probably as described in Wade.

• Police showing artifacts, after update to 2015 CC...

  I have not checked this problem with all my fonts, just family Swis721 BT.

  I recently had a printed brochure of Illustrator CC 2014 file and fonts Swis721 artifacts are not present.

• Problem with access to the Policy Manager

  Recently, I installed Oracle 10.2.0.1 on a machine with Solaris 10 Unix. I made a custom Setup when you install the software so that I could install OLS. I didn't create a database during installation. I created the database after the fact using DBCA. The database has been created and I would now like to create security policies. The problem is that I can't find/run strategy manager. Where is the executable Policy Manager? It is not in the directory $ORACLE_HOME/bin other executable files. How can I run the Policy Manager?

  With 10g, Policy Manager is a stand-alone tool, managed by the installation of the OEM Java Console on the CD of the client and then once installed run * $ORACLE_HOME/bin/opm *.

• the fonts are displayed as foreign or symbols

  On a few websites fonts do not display correctly, they are displayed in the form of symbols or foreign policies.
  I tried to clear the cache of police, then by restarting the pc, it works initially but when I turn on pc and I turn it back on, the same issues of police are back. I don't want to have to keep clearing cache fonts and restart pc every time. Fonts seem to display when I uncheck the box let the police chose to Web sites.
  This is the font settings, as they are now:
  Fonts for the West
  Serif
  New roman times
  Arial
  Courier new
  allow Web sites to use specific fonts are checked
  iso-8859-1 Western

  any help would be appreciated.

• Licenses expiring without apparent reason

  Hello

  Would there be a change to a customer that would cause the license expires.
  I have several opportunities where our users raise calls for their license numbers they get errors that the keys have expired.
  In most cases, seized the same license that they had initially solves the problem. As I expect, because they are a time by client licenses.
  I can't find any obvious changes to the customer that causes the licenses that appear as expired and that require re-registration. That is the machine removed reconstructions or change the entries to registry etc...

  There is no change on the side of client RemoteScan which would have an effect on the record at all. In such cases, it is more likely that the user does not have permissions to write to the registry on the scan station. When the release button is typed in, and then the user hits 'save', it will try to write the unlock key to the registry, but if the user does not have permissions to do you will encounter problems similar to what you describe.

  Of course, if you don't have the piece of software make changes to the registry it could also be the culprit.

• Secure login - greyed out

  I don't know how to set the enable option disable options within policies.  My problem is why is it always grayed out.  -What happened?  We would like to just click on the checkbox to enable or disable the secure connection.  We do not want to set policies.  We are not in a field and I was builiding image it is not grayed out, we noticed just as I was finishing the image so something has changed.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you

  a. click on start

  b. Select run

  c. type gpedit.msc

  d. search for Local computer policy, and navigate to the location-> Computer Configuration-> Windows settings-> security settings-> local policies-> Security Options-> Interactive logon: do not require CTRL + alt + delete, which defined activated.

  e. log on to the account that you want to activate the automatic connection.

  f. run the Windows Registry Editor (RegEdit.exe or RegEdt32.exe) and open the following subkey:

  g. HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

  h. create or edit the following value names string (REG_SZ) with the appropriate values, as described below.

  I tried to reexporting the police, the same problem. I also have the same problem when I export the scene editor and read it with Ctrl + Enter.

  It seems THAT the good in the editor... I don't know what to do. I reinstalled even the police. :/
  
  Also, I have this problem with all fonts... or at least every 5 different fonts, I tried.

  I finally fixed it by recreating the Mac fla file.

  Looks like it is a problem with Windows.

• Illustrator CC2015 does not start

  Hello

  I uninstalled Illustrator and CC several times including using the cleaning tool.

  Illustrator starts up and then crashes. Never had this problem with all previous versions of Illustrator.

  He is currently in testing diagnostic 89 105 but crashes after each test.  It seems to be stuck in some kind of loop?

  It has been two days now and I'm lost the will to live.

  Would be very grateful for the help.

• Issue of Mac system fonts!

  I'm working on a Mac. American Typewriter comes with the computer as a system font. I created a logo with that font. The customer would like me to include fonts in the 'packaging' of the logo. Is this right? It will be used in print, online and television.

  It is not a matter that we can not easily and conclusively answer here because the police in question was not licensed by Adobe.

  The American Typewriter font shipped with Mac OS are indeed visible and usable in Adobe applications. In fact, I tried to create an InDesign document using all six styles of the font on my Mac system. I exported successfully to PDF/X-4 of InDesign and policies incorporated without problem.

  However, all this means is that Apple (or the Foundry including Apple licenses the police) do not have any physical security in place to prevent inclusion in the PDF (EPS or PostScript). That being said, you must obtain the current license for the police to Apple to determine if they or their provider has no restriction against such commercial use.

  If you had permitted the police to Adobe, the answer was you could embed fonts and use them as you described. You might not nest them in an HTML stream or with an application program for dynamic use (as with an iOS or Android app). But in the context of a static logo, you'd be ready to go.

  You should see if Apple has its licensing policies on its website in order to ensure that their restrictions, if any, are. If the license is not on their Web site, you may contact the Legal Department of Apple.

• Why can't I connect my text says pixilated?

  Just upgraded to Muse CC 2014 - my text will now be no link, says it's rastertized area text (didn't happen in the old version, but cannot go back to the old version).

  What should I do?

  I thought that finally, I was using system fonts instead of web fonts, changing a web police solved the problem.  Thank you for your response.

• underscore Embedded fonts html

  I have a html textfield using embedded fonts. I found that because I'm using a font embedded, I am not able to use the HTML < b > < i > and < u >. I found a solution with bold and italic by integrating the fat version and italic of each font and then use the tag make and define the face to the version in bold or italic to the police. The problem I face today is that there is no strictly stressed police. So, how to underline my text?

  You can use these tags.  just assign htmlText to your textfield when using html tags.

• Now you see it, now you don't

  I created a Captivate 6.0.0.199 project and I use text captions and click on the boxes. I type the information in the caption text box or I type the information in the text of box failure box click and save.  Then I come back and the text appears in the film, but when you go to the slide, the legend text box and the click box are empty.  If you click on the box, you'll see the text, so save you and publish, but the legend text box and click on box are empty.

  

  There is something very strange about this problem.  I begin to suspect this is caused either by your choice of font, otherwise your project file is damaged.

  I suggest you close this particular project and you try to open a new empty project in Captivate.  Then add captions to slides, but don't change the font to something else than the default setting.  Legends in this project are the same as the other project?  If this is not the case, change only the font of the legend to match police in the problem project and then see if the same thing happens.

• Use of fonts for an organization

  I'll do a newsletter for a University, and I'm looking for clarification on the use of fonts. A few years ago, I bought a few fonts to use on personal projects. I would like to use some of these fonts for the newsletter. The University wants to clarify if it would be good for me to use the fonts, even if the University has not bought the rights to use. Can someone point me in the right direction on that or maybe a link to a reference? I can see conceptually of arguments for both sides, but I don't want to assume blindly. Thank you.

  If you create the newsletter on your own computer and you own the police, indeed, no problem. If the newsletter is distributed as a PDF later, no problem either. Just do not give the police some else to to use.
