  I recently installed and configured my new Time Capsule (TC) and created my home network, that works without problem. The guest network distributes however, 169 IP addresses to any device connected to it. My TC has the following parameters:

  The prompt will not work with the TC in bridge.

  It of the right mode for wireless guest... but is the wrong way for the TC, because then you have double NAT.

  Reset you the TC to plant before you set up or do you exchange you bridge DHCP and NAT... If the later, it won't work... you must first factory reset.

  In my humble OPINION Apple made a stupid decision to prevent comments in mode bridge... but you can't change it.

  The bridge is the right settings for the TC... you use the wireless on the main router as a guest... wireless or you should fill the main router in order to use the TC as the only router.

  The only thing I would add is that system restore has failed for a while on this PC.  Of course I would have used it to try to solve this problem, but I can't.  I tried various fixes for whom these for one, there included opening in SafeMode etc, but nothing worked.

  Hi, sorry bit slow on this - alert does not.  The answer would have been wired and Wireless does not, but I just reinstalled a Linksys network adapter and hey presto it works!  I haven't been back to try the wired LAN but guess it still does not.  So I think that the diagnosis of network card is OK but incorrectly excluded earlier because the PC said that he was OK and wireless did not work either at this time.  But I guess it's possible that uninstall and then reinstall the Linksys may have released something somehow.  BTW I had disabled the native Windows Firewall also.  Was it wrong?

  You probably installed the wrong driver WLAN? Did you already check that the WIRELESS card is installed and if it s the correct driver?

I reloaded Vista back and updated, all the drivers have shown as installed except for the wireless network, so I downloaded all the drivers of 3 of the website of Acer wireless network. It's not logical, why win7 would work to perfection and not the vista which was what this unit came with?
