E5 - 571g tap in Crans interemittently of work

My Synaptic touchpad sometimes lose the ability to tap-tap. Tapping the touchpad starts by dragging or by selecting instead of click, as if the mouse button is blocked. Hard clicking on the touchpad still works.

The problem is that I can only get rid of it by restarting Windows. Do not help the deactivation and reactivation of the touchpad through Fn + F7 or the synaptic driver from the control panel. Driver update I tried but I seem to have the latest drivers.

If there is an easier way to restore touchpad functionality, please let me know. It is very annoying to restart the computer every time that happens.

Could you please try this driver (version 19.0.19.1) of Synaptics and let us know.

  • Problem with the touchpad: Tap to click does not work if I use a standard account

    Hi all

I have a problem with my laptop that I don't understand and I need help from the community.
As the title says... If I connect to my laptop using a standard account the touchpad does not work if I try to tap to click. Left and right buttons work, move the slider works, works of scrolling, but endearing tape... not even a single tap. If I log in with my account as an administrator, the touchpad works like a charm, no problems. Tap to click and everything you want. If I disconnect the admin account and sign in as a standard user, the problems are back again. I can move the cursor, click on the two buttons (left, right), but I can't type to click...

I tried to reinstall the driver for the touchpad (which is MOMENTUM...) but it did not. I tried to see if there is any option that can prevent this tapping or something... but in the control panel > Touchpad > Tap is turned on. A strange thing in the control panel of the Touchpad is that [when loggend as a standard user] I get an error "unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click on continue the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click on exit the application will close immediately. "and a new line saying"index was outside the bounds of the array. If I click on continue the error disappears, but reappears if stationary "double-tap" enable/disable option. If I click on leave the Touchpad Control Panel closes...

All this trouble occurs only when I use the standard account. With the administrator account, I don't get any errors so I soar options, disable them, activate them and most importantly, the tap to click works.

What is the problem with the standard account?

I have Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit Service Pack 1.

    Can someone help me please?

    Hi Johnxf,

    ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

As he works in an administrator account, then probably your standard user account have been damaged and would need a fix.

Follow the article provided below to fix the corrupted user profile:

  • Tap and highlight does not work

Hey, I hope you can help me with the following problem:

In system preferences, there is the possibility to switch on ' tap to click on ' or something like that. I would like to have this option so that I don't have to press the trackpad physically. Yesterday I turned it off, just because of curiosity, then I turned it back on and now I can't type on the top of a window to drag around the screen, nor can I tap and drag the text to select. It's very frustrating. I already contacted support, we did a SMC reset, memory NVRAM reset and I have even reinstalled OSX 10.11. Always the same question.

I appreciate any kind of help.

    Greetings from the Germany.

Strange. The driver list appears for me. Even foreign - it lists the Synatics and Alps Touchpad drivers. Can you confirm that you have?

  • Lenovo U31-70 double tap on the touchpad does not work

    Hello

I just bought a new Lenovo U31-70 with Windows 10 already installed on it. There is a problem with the double tap feature, it does not work. The feature is enabled in the option.

This model of Lenovo has Alps touchpad driver and I am not able to find the place where activate the double tap on regedit, of workaround works instead if you have Synaptics drivers.

    Who can help me?

  • Y500 two-finger-tap touchpad not working not

Hi I bought my Y500 a few happy days with her and there are in general. However, one day the two le deux-doigt-tap (par clic droit) sur le pave tactile - finger - tap (by right-clicking) on the touchpad stopped working. Here is a description.

Everything else as far as I know, including the two fingers scrolling and the tap of a finger, etc. work well, but the tap two fingers stopped working even though it worked fine for a few days. I have a suspicious as to what caused it, but I'm not entirely sure. In any case, I think that it is probably a bug and probably software. One day I went into 'control panel'-> 'mouse'-> 'device settings'-> 'settings... '. "->"Scrolling"->"two fingers to scroll"->"enable cabotage. I played with the cabotage for awhile and soon off again because I don't really like it. However, that's when I noticed that my tap two fingers stopped working. I have double checked that 'control panel'-> 'mouse'-> 'device settings'-> 'settings... '. "->" by clicking on "->" click two fingers "is set on" secondary click (context menu, drag special) ", but the click two fingers still doesn't work, even after a reboot. I downloaded the latest driver (version 16.2.18.0) and it still doesn't work. I uninstalled the driver and installed it again and it still does not work. Now, I like to use the touchpad, but really hate to live without tap with two fingers for a right-click. Please help me with this, I thank you in anticipation.

It seems to me a solution, but I don't know exactly why he has solved the problem. It seems that the problem might be that while the Synaptics touchpad device is a PS/2 device, it keeps software interference (of some sort) by being recognized as a SMB (System management bus) device. Which solved the problem for me was to go to 'device manager'-> 'system devices', locate "Synaptics SMB driver", and either disable it or remove it. The two-finger-tap touchpad must begin to work immediately.

    Hey Lonnie Warpup,.

If I understand correctly, you are using macOS Sierra and you try to use the power of touch, but it does not perform this action.
I would recommend that you read these articles, they explain if your device supports the Force Touch, with a setting to enable and disable the Force Touch and how to set the sensitivity and how to turn the Look up feature words.

The Magic Trackpad and Magic Trackpad 2 supports all available on laptops Apple trackpad gestures.

To turn off the click Force function, uncheck the box 'Force Click and haptic feedback'. This will disable the functionality described in the Trackpad preferences pane.

    • Look up a word: CTRL-click on the word or phrase (in some applications, you may need to select all first), then select find from the context menu. Or type the word or the sentence with three fingers (if the gesture is selected in the Préférences Trackpad).

If your trackpad supports force by one click, you can set the gesture of looking up to use it instead of a tap. (To force the click, press firmly until you hear a click deep.)

Also, I went into the left-handed touchpad mouse and dial-up options, and when I click with the left button right button works, but then the right click (it is now on the left) does not work nor done typing.
