    Hi all

This is what it looks like so low cover of my Acer Predator G9-591-70XR (Intel Core i7 6700HQ (2.60 GHz) GB DDR4 1 TB drive HARD 256 GB SSD NVIDIA GeForce GTX 16 980 M 4 GB 15.6 "Full HD 1920 x 1080 HD Webcam Windows 10 64-Bit edition). I want to improve my RAM and SSD drive. I discussed a couple of days to buy the right RAM for my machine with the acer predator support officer, but the officer was not able to give satisfactory answers to the RAM I want to buy. It's the RAM I would buy (http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-2133c15d-16grs). Agent told me that I need a RAM with the value of voltage of 1.5. However, this machine has DDR4 Rams and as far as I know that ddr4s have value of voltage of 1.2. So my first question is if I buy a RAM with latency CASE 15-15-15-36, 1, 2V, 2133 mHz in dual configuration channel, if it works with my computer?

My second question is about the SSD m2. As you can see from the picture, there is already an installed (above), SSD intrinsically I see an another slot above, I think it's a mini PCI-express. However this location is not consistent with the other SSD location. It's a little to the right. If I buy a card SSD M.2 similar or shorter, where screws it? There seems to be an empty hole on the left side, but the SSD will not reach there. So is there an adapter for it? If yes where can I find one?

Thank you for your time to read this. I hope that someone has the answers. Wish you all the best.

    Hello

I'm not all specialist RAM. I'm just, went to the store and asked the guy for a quick DDR4 Ram. But as you can see also delivered Ram 1, 2V. Maybe this value they're talking about is different. ?

Works fine since I bought the fastest Kingston. I wonder why the unit is shipped with the slower Ram, if more?

    Hi all

I'm working on laptop HP Pavillion G7-1070us of my father, and I'm having a problem starting after the installation of 8 GB of RAM.  I upurchased 2 sticks of 4 GB of DDR3 PC10600 UN buffered, NON ECC RAM of Frys and everytime I go to start the laptop it throws an error that can not load Windows and offers to run the repair or start normally... little matter that you select, it goes back in the loop of what prompts to repair or load... The BIOS recognizes all the 8 gb... have you tried 2 different sets of different manufacturers (Patriot and Crucial). As soon as I pop 2 2 GB sticks in it boots fine... I even tried to start the the Windows 7 DVD to repair windows, but he always comes back in the loop... I tried the two current and previous BIOS without success... Help, please

  • HP laptop - 14-ac107nl: is it possible to upgrade the processor, ram and storage internal HP laptop - 14-ac107nl?

The computer is very slow, and I just fill the MEM 28 GB? How can I upgrade RAM and MEM?

In the model of Celeron, you need memory (2 GB) is soldered to the motherboard and cannot be upgraded. If you wanted to make a better computer the only real choice is to replace the motherboard. There is the version with an included i5 processor. Storage is a MEMBER, and even with your model theoretically you can remove the MEM module and replace it with a hard SATA or SSD disk, but would require the purchase of new equipment to mount the drive.

See pages 38 and 39 of the manual here:

    Manual

Likely upgrades will cost more than a new, best laptop.

  • Pavilion dv6600ev: I would like to replace the HARD drive and the RAM in my HP laptop. I want to check compatibility

Hello guys. I would like to replace the HARD drive and the RAM in my HP laptop. I would check the compatibility. For the momemt, I have 2 x 512 MB of RAM and a 160 GB HARD drive. Does anyone know the type of RAM (DDR1 or DDR2 most) and the accepted maximum capacity. Also the SATA port is a SATA I? Besides, I'm going to change the operating system (preferably in Win 7) so is there a driver?

You can install DDR2-800 modules and they are the most widely available at this point, but the memory will run at 667 mhz speed.

  • G62-340US: the best RAM and SSD together for an older G62?

I want to improve my old and slow HP G62 with a new SSD and RAM and I have a few questions.

First of all, I found two very similar RAM packs on Amazon and I don't know what is the difference or one that will work with my laptop?

    http://www.Amazon.com/crucial-PC3-8500-204-pin-CT2K4G3S1067M-CT2C4G3S1067M/DP/B008LTBJFM?ie=UTF8&key...

    http://www.Amazon.com/GP/product/B005LDLVAO/ref=cm_cd_asin_lnk

Second, it is possible to install an SSD in the computer? And if that's the case, what is the recommended product?

Thirdly, if I replace my hard drive with an SSD, should I buy another copy of the operating system or is at - it a way to save that?

You want the package of upper memory which is the right speed and density of your laptop. The other memory is more recent and probably not compatible. The top of the page says memory is for a Mac that is not in itself a problem, but you may want to consider the memory recommended by HP:

    4 GB (for models 1.1 and 1.2 only) 599092-001

    http://www.Amazon.com/HP-VH641AT-4-GB-DDR3-PC3-10600/DP/B0030L3B8E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&QID=1459805725&SR=8-1&keywords=599092-001

Absolutely, you can install an SSD on the laptop. Assuming that your 10 Windows is activated you can do a full system image bootable Windows 10 or you can install clean media media creation tool again and the activation of just MS servers identify your computer and you will be activated again even if you change the hard drive.

    Hello:

For the 15-ay008nl, Chapter 1, page 6 of the manual of the service provides information to upgrade memory.

    Thank you guys

    Hello

I found information that your device can handle with max 256 MB and compatible module unit Pentium II are:
    PA2060U 32 MB
    PA2061U 64 MB
    PA2062U 128 MB

For user who have the Pentium III unit I'll also post this compatible module are:
    PC100 128 MB (PA3005U)
    PC100 64 MB (PA3004U)
    PC100 32 MB (PA3003U)

HARD drive upgrade is always a little more problematic because of the maximum capacity that will be recognized correctly, but I assume you can use up to 20 GB of HARD disk without problem.
Sorry, but I didn? t find accurate information about it.

    Good bye

  • Satellite L70-A-139 - guaranteed zero when removing the cover for the RAM and HARD drive

    Hi all

    I have a Satellite L70-A-139 youcef.
And at the back of the laptop, there is a cover that is fixed with a screw.

Wil I void the warranty when I unscrew and take a look?
I want to upgrade my HDD to SSD.
The motherboard supports Sata III: D.

    Thank you!

No, the mandate must still be valid.
There is a removable cover at the bottom of the unit as shown here:
    [Toshiba Satellite C70 / C75 / C70D / C75D / L70 / L70t / S70 / HARD S70t drive replacement procedure | http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/CRU3703HG0000R01.htm]

Then you should be able to upgrade the RAM and HARD drive.
I think this info should be mentioned in the user manual too.

  • Equium L20-197: to upgrade RAM and CPU

    Hello
I recently bought a l20 - 197 and if im happy of all, what I want to do is upgrade the ram and processor. Ive found a supplier for ram (www.crucial.com), even if I need some details on the processor that it taken and if it can actually be upgraded.
    Thank you!

    Hello

Before I try to give you some info on the upgrade, I want to just comment on your ad. Satellite L20 is actually a unit of budget and doesn t expensive. Now, you want to invest enough money in the hardware upgrade. It's not really illogical. Why you didn t get more information and bought the best unit as Satellite M40 or same M70. For a 300 or 400 dollars more, you can have a superior unit.

Sorry, but the best idea is to sell your one and buy another unit. This is my honest opinion on this subject.

Now something about your questions: essentially upgrading the CPU is not possible due to the permanent connection method. The processors used in laptops are connected to the motherboard using a process called TCP (tape carrier package).

RAM upgrade is possible and meaningful. Your device has 512 MB of Ram in one slot and unit can handle with 2 GB max.

    Good bye

  • Problems with RAM and my Satellite Pro P100-240

Hi all, I hope you can help me somehow.

Recently, I decided to go on my RAM upgrade before I headed offshore at the University then everything would be smoother. I had originally the 2x512mb RAM sticks if wanted to go for the best, what I discovered this laptop would be 2 x 2 GB sticks.

I recently bought these sticks of 2 x 2 GB RAM PC World, where they also checked to see if the supported laptop 4 GB, which I was told that this was the case.

However, when I got home I installed two strips of new RAM but my laptop will not initialize properly.
Everything looks like it was started and the lights turn on but the screen stays black and nothing happens.

I don't understand what is happening, the RAM sticks are not defective, because they both work individually.

Edit: Ive tried swapping them round in all possible combinations and they don't always work together. So currently I use key 1 to 2 GB of RAM and my old 512 MB one with her.

    What can I try?

    Hello

I put t know what s wrong with both modules of memory.
It seems that the two modules may not run correctly together. It is possible, I had some similar problems in the past 8 years since I m a laptop owner.

My only recommendation is to replace the memory modules and try another.

Is that laptop supports 4 GB of RAM and it should be possible to upgrade.
But note; Windows 32 bit OS sees only 3.2 GB due to the limitation of the 32-bit operating system.

  • Re: RAM and BIOS upgrade on Satellite Pro 4280

OK, so I found my old SP4280 buried in the loft and found everything market (except the hard drive, but I ordered a replacement identical).
I want to install ubuntu on this subject that I don't have windows OS available, but need more RAM and an update of the BIOS.

It will only take old, now N/A toshiba ram will it take other brands of RAM with the correct specifications? (low density, 100 mhz, CL2) And I can't find the update of the BIOS anywhere on the Toshiba site. Someone could you please direct me to it or download it for me? Thank you.

    Quick answers appreciated!

    Thank you

The information you can get from Toshiba on the RAM, it's that your laptop can handle with max 320 MB of RAM.
    Compatible RAM is PA3005U - 1 M 12 > 128 MB.
    This RAM is tested.

Of course, you can use other brands. Just make sure that you are using the high quality product and also the same specification of RAM.

    Update the BIOS, visit http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/innovation/download_bios.jsp
For Satellite Pro 4280 you can find there 2 BIOS, 70-TRAD
