E7240/E7440 driver to MDT

I can't get these two machines to begin the deployment share because missing device drivers:

PCI\VEN_8086 & dev_155a & subsys_05ca1028 & rev_04

All the research I've done the point on the nic card: Intel I218-LM

However I installed all the drivers and imported, but it is still saying that the correct drivers are not loaded. Any ideas? I even used the CAB file to see if it had good drivers with no luck. What Miss me? Thank you.

I had the same problem, I then went to the website of intel and downloaded the drivers from the following links and then add them to my point of MDT, to update the boot image and its market not now!

    Hi all

Wonder if anyone else has problems with installing Windows crashing with the Intel management engine Drivers injected directly into the WIM image?

The error message that appears when the installation says "Windows cannot configure one or more system components. To install Windows, restart the computer and restart the installation. Once restarted, it will shut with the message "the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error." Windows Setup cannot continue. To install Windows click OK to restart the computer and then restart the installation"I have check the logs in X:\$WINDOWS.~BT\Sources\Panther\, but can't find anything useful (or understand).

Can I get the installation to complete, excluding the drivers of the EMI, but this leaves the device with no driver in the Device Manager. The same drivers can be installed manually with any questions after that Windows has finished installing.

Some Windows 7 drivers for new Dell systems may require an update of the KMDF to version 1.11.  The KMDF is a component of the operating system and the software update is available from Microsoft at the link below.  The usual treatment is to include the KMDF update in your base image until it is wrapped in a service pack.  Some of you may remember to see this problem with XP/Vista when Win7 came on the scene.

Symptoms that a KMDF update is necessary for a Windows 7 driver:

1 yellow bang in Device Manager for the components that you know you have a driver available

  • E7440 display problems

    Hi all

COMPUTING service for my company bought several E7440s to test before deploying on the rest of society. Unfortunately, most of us is in trouble when they are plugged into the port replicators.

After a brief search online, it seems that we are not the only ones experiencing these issues:

    http://Forum.NotebookReview.com/Dell-Latitude-Vostro-precision/718952-latitude-e7240-e7440-leaked-12.html

    Everyone knows that

AND is there a fix yet?

I have a similar screen flicker problem on E7240 LCD, under these specific conditions.

full resolution, battery power, with a lot of white on the screen.

It disappears when it is plugged in or when I change to a lower resolution.

I fixed this by changing the setting in the control panel intel HD graphics.  go to the area of power setting, go to the tab setting "on battery" and turn off "auto refresh".

My no longer flicker appears in all conditions.

  • Network driver problem

    Hello

I use MDT to Windows 7 Professional x 64 sliding for Dell OptiPlex 990 and 9010's. Both types use the same Intel network card, but the 9010 do not have the latest driver for it. I have provided the driver to MDT with the enterprise deployment CABs Dell store hosts free on their site. The problem is the network driver, which works well on the 990, slows down the Windows login in about two minutes and mess-to top the Windows task bar. The network icon is missing from the system tray and whenever I try to adjust the volume, the icon will move under the mouse pointer and unresponsive. This happens on the 990, just the 9010. I tried an older driver for 2011 with no luck. Is there another driver I could try? I also tried to use the same driver, who works on the 990 on the 9010 with no luck. I'm little at a loss to know what to do next. I appreciate any suggestions that anyone can offer.

    Thank you

Just to be clear, what is an Office 9010 or a 9010 all-in-one?

The drivers for the Intel Network_Driver_NNGMH_WN_18.1.0.0_A08 990 lists page. EXE for Win 7 x 64, but the drivers of the page for the 9010 desktop lists Intel Network_Driver_N0F78_WN32_16.8.0.0_A00. EXE for Win 7 x 64.

If the two systems have the same Intel NIC, it seems logical that they would both use the same driver, but Dell did not up-to-date Office page 9010 to the pilot of the most recent list 18.1.0.0 so maybe there is a good reason...

  • Computer laptop touchpad inversion of two fingers to scroll

Touchpad of my laptop allows two fingers to scroll, but it's counterintuitive, because when I shoot down, the screen scrolls upward, and when I push upwards, scrolls the screen to the bottom. I do not behave as if it was a touch screen, because I do not use a touch screen, I love her as if I move the scroll bar (vertical or horizontal). How can I get it back to normal?

    Windows 7 Dell Latitude E6540

I don't have a Dell but, you may need to verify that you have the latest touchpad drivers supported for your PC. For example, see http://www.dell.com/support/article/us/en/19/SLN294988/EN , which is for an E7240 E7440 3340, but it does not "for systems with Windows 7, the latest touchpad driver must be installed. Earlier versions of this driver Windows 7 do not include the directional adjustment'. So maybe it's the case for your E6540?

  • HP 840 G3: 840 G 3 Intel Driver Bluetooth - silent installation - MDT - does not

    In the hope of assistance

Intel Driver of Bluetooth does not work well when you deploy the driver as an application through the MDT task sequence.

I'm running in question when using MDT Lite Touch 2013. Even if I was able to import this driver as an application, the result is still not good.

    I imported as an application

    I use silent syntax 'InstMultiPkg.exe' / / Silent

It installs as a mandatory model 840 G3.

I can verify that the installation was successful from my journal of MDT with return code 0.

Once you 840 G3 no final reboot, I connect, I check in the Device Manager and it says "generic Bluetooth adapter. I don't know what I'm missing. I don't know if there is a dependency of the installation of another application of HP but I tried this manually and it works fine.

I extracted the files and run as a msi file, is a with the command install.cmd.

    MsiExec.exe /i "Bluetooth.msi Intel" REBOOT = REALLYSUPPRESS number

Use the 18.1.1508.0538 for our 840 G3 version and do so as a package in my customsettings.ini

  • Problem Driver network Dell Latitude E5570 with MDT

We received a lot of laptops Dell Latitude E5570. I want to install a picture on them, using MDT. I downloaded the file CAB for Windows 7, A02 08/03/16. Added to the output of the drivers on MDT as usual, then updated the deployment share.

When you try to start the installation, I get an error in the wizard. Connect to the deployment share could not be established. The following network device has not been installed, PCIVEN_8086 & DEV_156F & SUBSYS_06DF1028 & REV_21

I tried download the drivers for the network card on the Intel site and their import. This time, I can access the task sequence list. There's nothing wrong with the first part of the installation. When it comes to complete the installation, I get the same error of Assistant on the network device.

    Any suggestions would be welcome

I finally got mine work. Drivers is must always use a combination of the taxi driver from Dell and Intel driver. If the version 3 of the TAXI driver who has been published will solve the problem?

I try to import the driver directly from intel first as well as the cab file and see if it works. This is the link I used: downloadcenter.intel.com/.../Intel-Ethernet-Adapters-Connections-CD

In the end, I think that my question was due to the SSD and the fact that I tried to start Win 7 x 86.

After reading a couple of different forums, it seems new SSD require UEFi start to run, which is not supported in Windows 7 x 86. I tried an image with Win 7 x 64 and it worked the first time.

  • E7440 Latitude hard drive size? 9MM? 7MM? mSATA?

    PCIe?

Could not find this info anywhere.  I have a few 7mm SSD drives I want to deploy with the latter.   However, if it is the PCIe, I might go that route too.

    Hello

If you order E7440 with standard HARD drive, it's actually 5mm HARD drive mounted in a pair of rubber distances that make it :) 7mm

Yes 7mm HDD/SSD fits very well (for me it's Intel 520 Series SSD), without any change in a standard cradle.

  • Laptop Dell - blue screen of death - CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION caused by driver: ntkrnlpa.exe

    Hello

I searched for a solution to a major problem, as we have seen with some Dell systems I work with.

three models who know that exact blue screen: Dell E6430, E7240, and E7440.

Every accident is due to random, indicating the following:

    Bug Check String: CRITICAL_OBJECT_TERMINATION

    Bug check code: 0x000000f4

    P1: 0 X 00000003

    (the others are always different)

    Caused by the driver: ntkrnlpa.exe

    Address: ntkrnlpa.exe + dedd8

    32 bit OS/processor.

So far, we tried the following:

Update the BIOS of the systems to the latest versions.

Update the version of the driver from the hard drive from the site of the manufacturer (not one Samsungs)

Replace most of the internal parts (motherboard, RAM, CPU) with known work of Dell parts.

Recreate the image on the computer entirely. (re - install windows, but still receive the error re-)

In the end, we end up making a complete replacement of the HD.

We carried out Diagnostics using a few tools (SMART data reading using SpeedFan) and it is not to report all errors. We used the Dells built in the diagnosis on the RAM, hard drive and nothing seems made of any hardware failure during testing of large 4 hours.

I was wondering if someone had met these blue screens on other systems, and what other tools and resources, we could use to try and fix these without doing a complete system replacement.

The most recent crash in this issue is 29 October so it may not be the same as the current problem

These accidents were related to the corruption of memory (probably caused by a driver).

Run these two tests to check your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.  Launch auditor.  You don't need to run memtest again unless the auditor is not the cause, or you want to.

If you are overclocking anything reset by default before running these tests.

  • HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF: external hard drive not detected in the BIOS. Only USB Flash drives are detected.

    Hi all

I received recently 2 new HP desktop computers.

    HP Elitedesk 800 G2 SFF

    HP Elitedesk 800 G2 TWR

The goal is to test our real W7 x 64 image on these machines and to inject the missing drivers in the image.

MDT 2010 to create a deployment on a USB hard disk drive.

This disc of deployment is already used on 16 different models of HP in the company (Elitebook, zBook, EliteDesk) to install our image so I know it works.

Unfortunately, the two HP Elitedesk 800 G2, I can't start the boot disk but I cannot to USB for a USB key.

The USB drive is not detected and not proposed in the BIOS Menu of STARTUP.

Only the internal HD, external USB Flash Disk, DVD and network devices are detected.

Here's what I already checked or tried:

    • Latest Version of the BIOS installed (2.05)
    • UEFI Boot has been disabled. (not supported by our record of deployment)
    • USB ports are enabled (front and rear).
    • All types of USB devices are allowed in the BIOS
    • The start command has been changed to start with USB devices.
    • Legacy support is active and Secure Boot disabled
    • Delete the keys to secure boot
    • Reset secure by default startup keys
    • This morning, I created a new disk deployment on a USB Flash drive and it works!

So, it seems that only Flash USB drives are detected.

I know it is possible to return the flag removalble on a USB device to cheat the system and make it appear as a disk fixed, but I want a simple solution.

Does anyone know a fix or a workaround for this problem?

    Thanks in advance!

For those interested in the answer, here's the final results.

It turns out that the hard 500 GB external drive can be detected if it is fomatted in FAT32.

It's strange because my 16 GB USB Flash drive formatted in NTFS works very well.

In any case, I'll create a FAT32 Partition to the Boot MDT files and put my picture (because the file is too big for FAT32 partition) on the secondary partition (formatted as NTFS).

Thanks to the technical pre-sales team of HP who helped me with this!
