E8B94VA #ABA: 17-e017dx model

My HP Pavillion Model - 17-e017dx constantly must have pulled the battery and the power cord removed to put in operation. He did it for a long time and it seems to do it when it goes to sleep or when I close the lid.

@jthul68 ,

Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums.

Have you tried without battery in the system.  If it works with the battery, then replace the battery.  If the problem is the same, there is a problem with the control system of power this could be driver related or could be a hardware problem.

First thing I would try is to start in safe mode and see if the problem exists.  If you still encounter a problem in safe mode, then it is not a nuisance driver.  At this point, I would contact HP support by phone for repair options.

Please contact our technical support at the 800-474-6836. If you do not live in the United States / Canada region, please click the link below to get help from your region number. http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/contact-HP/WW-phone-assist.html

Thanks again for posting and have a great day.

    Hello!

So, I won money to buy (hopefully) a new video card!

    However, I have a problem.

I don't know which one to get!

SO, someone please, please recommend a video card for intermediate level games.

(My budget is less than $280)

    My PC has stock everything.

Thus, it was purchased as it was when you would get everything first he.

Yes, I need also a new power supply that is included with my budget.

    Thank you!

    Revionion, welcome to the forum.

I'd be happy to help you in your choice.  The main problem is, recent video cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS to legacy.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  The latest maps not requiring UEFI were the series GTX 640.  However, MSI has made a card that has a VBIOS hybrid which can operate with a BIOS.  The best thing to do is to choose a video card you like and contact Technical Support from the manufacturer to ensure that it will work on your computer as it is almost 7 years old.  This will save you problems.  They are the experts on their cards.

I like Corsair power supply units (PSU).  I suggest at least 500W.  This will give you plenty of power for any card that works in your computer.

If you have any other questions, let me know.  I'll be happy to help you.

Also, is there a quick way to completely disable the mouse pad?

    Thank you!

Intel Chipset utility must always be the first installed, then all the others in this category. Graphics would be my next choice mainly for aesthetics. Others can be installed in virtually any order.

I'm sorry that I don't know a quick way to disable the touchpad. I have no idea why HP has removed the button off / on for most of their laptops.

    Hello

Recently, I had a problem of "display driver has stopped working and recovered" frequently. I have searchhed on internet and Hp form and I got several solution. I tried to uninstall the display driver from Device Manager and update of windows update. But it did not work. So, I came across another solution. I downloaded the display driver FRO intel and installed site. This time it worked well and the problem was solved.

But suddenly today, when I tried to use touch screen, it does not work. I don't know since when he stopped. In system properties, it says: "no pen or touch input is available for this view. I watched in this page. Then, I downloaded the graphics driver from the Download Center. But he said that "this computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

I'm out of options except factory reset (I think!), that I will not do, because there are a lot of things installed on my lapotp and I work here.

    Help me.

    Hey @Mahmudul-Islam,.

  • Can I insatall a NVIDIA Quadro 600 in a Pavilion P7 - 1297C?

I have 5 computers Office Pavilion, (2) P7 - 1297c, 1017cb-H8, H8 - 1217c and other steps here to get the number of. I am trying to upgrade the video cards from NVIDIA QUADRO 600.

I installed a new PSU 600w in P & 1297_c. The system works fine without the new card. When I install the NVIDIA card and power on, nothing happens. I get the initial splash screen, but the system does not post, beep or let me in the bios settings. I remove the card and the system works fine.

My computers can be upgraded to use the QUADRO 600 NIVIDIA. Computer product # H2L87AA #ABA. NVIDIA model # VCQ600-PB on box (VCQ600V2U-T on the map).

If this is not the case, is there a video card like I can upgrade too. I am trying to run Solid Works on these computers, but the graphics are too crappy. I need best video cards.

    Help, please!

    Andrew

HP final response is "sorry that we do not support upgrading the video card on this computer."

I'm sorry it's a crappy answer. If you put a port PCIe x 16 on the motherboard, it should allow a card must be installed and start the computer to the top. I understand that if the driver does not work, or the system is unstable. But won't start do not at all? and the only answer is hard * bleep *!

I advanced and bought 2 of Z820 with over-pants V5900 installed. It will be the last HP I recommned. I'll pass the time and make the turn. I have a Samsung really good one. Maybe I can get better support there.

  • Winows Powershell Uninstaller is not on my computer

    Processor x 86 family 15 model 2 Stepping 7 GenuineIntel ~ 2532 Mhz

I can't uninstall Windows Powershell, because it does not appear in Add/Remove Programs, even when updates are checked.  I have no uninstaller anywhere on my computer.  It is not listed in uninstall Windows programs.  First thing I noticed about a week ago.  It has a log of events that I've never seen before. Explorer Windows says that it was created in April 2010.  I read that I didn't need.  I know that I would never use it.  But all the talk about the use of add/remove programs and it is not listed there.

Is anyway to recover the uninstall program after that he disappeared?

OK, here's the answer, I copied it from Microsoft:

How to uninstall Windows PowerShell after you install a service pack

Windows PowerShell 1.0 is packaged as a Windows Update. If you install a service pack in a Windows Update after installing Windows PowerShell 1.0, you cannot uninstall Windows PowerShell 1.0. The upgrade service pack installation program removes programs uninstaller for Windows updates. This includes the Windows update that installs Windows PowerShell 1.0.

If you install a service pack as an update from Windows Update or Microsoft Update, the service pack update does not remove uninstall Windows PowerShell 1.0. Only an upgrade removes the uninstall program.

If you have installed a service pack as an update, you can uninstall Windows PowerShell 1.0. However, you must uninstall the service pack update before you uninstall Windows PowerShell 1.0. Uninstallation of the update of Windows PowerShell 1.0 after you apply a service pack update is considered uninstalling in the wrong order. This could compromise the operating system. Updates should only be uninstalled in the reverse order in which they were installed.

If you must have installed 1.0 as an update and then you went to a service pack and deleted upgrade the program uninstaller.

Never, I installed upgrading Windows 1.0 and this is why it is not on my computers.

  • HP ENVY 15-j185nr upgrade lower for Win7

    Hello.

I bought a HP ENVY 15-j185nr. Unable to find a link to the specifications of the product, but it has an i5 Haswell-4200 with no dedicated video card, and the sound seems to be Intel Lynx Point PCH.

    Product: E3S24UA #ABA
    Warranty: 1y1y0y
    Model: 15-j185nr
    Rev: 1962-110

I will it downgrade to windows 7. Please let me can know where I find the drivers to do so.

    Please help me!

    Thank you!

    WARNING *.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

You will need to DISABLE 'Secure Boot' and ENABLE 'Legacy Support' in the 'Configuration of the BIOS start-up secured' on the page parameters below, until you try to install Windows 7.

    or

After you save the changes, the computer will ask you to confirm the changes... Accept the changes by typing the four digit code and press the ENTER"" key.

Also, as the hard disk can be partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or "UEFI - USB Flash drive" options in the boot menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive", "UEFI - USB Flash drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

I suggest using Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own disc of Windows 7 SP1. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive. Please note that some computers may not recognize a valid active UEFI USB Flash drive if it is formatted in NTFS and may require only a FAT32 formatted USB Flash drive. You should be able to make a FAT32 formatted Windows 7 installation USB Flash drive using Rufus, UNetbootin, Universal USB Installeror WiNToBootic. I like Rufus, because it contains options for 'Plan of GPT partition for UEFI computer' and 'FAT32'.

You will need to provide the Intel AHCI / RAID drivers during the first part of the installation. Please download "f6flpy-x 64.zip" of Intel Download Center. Expand this download and make sure to extract the drivers and place them on a separate USB key.

The reason you see the "load a driver - a required CD/DVD drive device is missing ' is because 'System Configuration' > 'Configuration USB3.0 in pre-start' has the value 'Enabled'. This must be set on 'Auto'. This should clear up the CD/DVD device is missing.

You must start using the internal CD/DVD UEFI or UEFI-Key/key USB to install Windows on a GPT-partitioned disk. Turn on or restart the computer and press "F9" or "ESC", then "F9" when prompted. Select the source of boot UEFI you use and you press "ENTER".

Windows 7 should start the installation process. You should now be able to load the Intel "F6 floppy drivers" from the USB key that you made earlier.

Most of the 64 - bit drivers Windows 7 for HP ENVY 15 t-j100 CTO Notebook PC drivers of Quad Edition page should work on your computer. Please message the Windows Device Manager (text only) "Hardware ID" of all remaining missing or unknown devices, as shown in the example below.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

    Hello

The ASR (automated system recovery) tool must have a disk for restoration purposes. The best option, if you really want to use ASR, is a floppy of USB external as suggested by chrisamiller.

You can also follow this procedure to create the ASR files without the floppy drive and then copy them to another location to create a floppy disk or, if you're lucky, your PC can boot from a USB key (I never tried to start ASR on a key, do not know if it will work or not, but it might be worth it) :

"You can"trick"the ASR in the race without a floppy drive." When it gets to the point where he writes on the diskette to cancel it. He writes two files, which are used for recovery, in the Windows\Repair directory. After completing your ASR copy these two files (files asr.sif and asrpnp.sif) to a network location and then make the diskette also. Make sure you update your disk whenever you make a new ASR or your backup will be watered.

Or, you can use a USB floppy drive. It is sometimes the only option, especially if you need to install SCSI or SATA drivers during the recovery. »

a: when you start the backup, it may be in Wizard mode. Follow the link to the Advanced Mode.
    b. Backup tab.
    c. click on the box next to the drive you want to back up so that it has a blue box.

It is always helpful if you specify the operating system installed.

    You have two options.

Download a stand-alone antivirus\malware\adware scanner of a real antivirus company.

Search for your game of recovery disks and perform a factory image recovery.  You can also do this from the power on with a F11 key. You is probably the best option.
