  I have to install EBS 12.1.1 single node on 5.8 OEL (64-bit), please confirm if the database must be updated to 11 GR 2 or not, as indicated in the document (ID 761566.1) installation:

The use of the R1 UEK (2.6.32) is certified on Oracle/Red Hat Linux 5 update 5 (5.5) or later version, and UEK R2 (2.6.39) on Oracle 5 update 8 (5.8) or later version.   As far as I know, as long as you pay the license for your actual use so you should be in the safe side.

  We have layers applications (appluat) and db (orauat) on different servers, or nodes.

  We applied a lot of tasks on the layer of apps. But I don't know if it has updates on the database tables.

  Then, the application server crashed and restore the backup that is older than a month.

  How do I know what patches have been applied in the original level of apps? Can we check the ad_bugs or the ad_applied_patches for re-mapping audit?

  Don't run cleaning or if you want to apply another /hotpatch so you can continue with the current adoption session.

  I just installed Oracle EBS r12 on 5.7 OEL.
  
  When I log in as SYSADMIN and browse the area "Navigator", I can't find anything for Oracle inventory. I ran rapidwiz with the Vision demonstration database. What should I do to get the modules of the inventory? I thought that it should already be there after execution of rapidwiz.

  It's the first time I used Linux environment and I was wondering what utilities, I'll need during installation of EBS and later when using the system in practice.
  
  In windows, I would need to winzip, winrar, ccleaner, firefox, flash player, java, shockwave, tera copy, vlc player and other audio, video players, etc. What will happen in linux environment? I don't want landup in a situation where I go I have some decompress or ISO utility to launch the clean install of EBS accumulated junk files or cannot view a video clip of the installation.

• 2nd time cloning

  Hi all

  EBS R12.2.4

  OEL 6

  (1.) we have instnace CRP > LAYERS applications (applcrp) and DB (oracrp) on SERVER1.

  2.) I cloned it as instance UAT > appluat, orauat on SERVER2.

  3.) for 1 week, I loaded a lot of new data on oracrp, and I want to take account of their orauat, but not through loading because it is easier to copy and it reclone as orauat.

  My question is, can the appluat level apps partner can always connect to the new cloned orauat? Or I need to reclone he (appluat) as well?

  I use oraprod for orauat users for UAT sid and sid PROD.

  It's just my 2nd Clone which I changed UAT PROD sid. But the cloning of the UAT (from another machine) to UAT (for this machine) was a success.

  Why PROD instance got on Unzip error, while the instance of the UAT was not serious? How can I check if Unzip is in the path?

  The consultant encoutered issue in the setup and asked me to apply the p18955265_R12 patch. HZ. C_R12_GENERIC.

  I want to apply this fix by using "adoption." I understand that in R12.2.4, you can not apply a patch using adpatch? but only adopt?

  Patch adoption cycles mentioned the following:

  Phases:

  adoption phase = prepare-> copy the code of the application

  adoption phase =-> apply patch in PATCH environment

  adoption phase = finalize-> makes it ready for the failover system

  adoption phase = failover-> bounce the transition to the system of system files and. FS2 becomes runtime environment.

  adoption phase = cleaning-> withdrawal of obsolete objects.

  adoption phase = fs_clone-> synchronize file systems

  Do I have to perform the steps above to apply the p18955265_R12 hotfix. HZ. C_R12_GENERIC?

  You must be on 10.1.2.3.0 or higher, so if you're on 10.1.2.3.0, you should be OK and you can ignore this group of hotfixes. However, it is always advisable to have the last group of patches applied.
