  It will not work. For a cache to feathers, wait Track Matte key instead. This should give you what you want. You can create your mat in the Titler, or in PS and can add effect > blur function.

  You must have defined the feather gradient with nothing selected. THA makes the default for all new. Then deselect everything, disconnected the pen and try to not do that again.

• Issues generated by InDesign CS2 PDF-feather effect/transparency

  I'm at my wit's end. I received a file of the customer PDF created to my features (even those we have used for 5 years). I'm having massive flattened transparency issues. I am currently using Trueflow version 3, a tear that does not support dynamic transparency; Therefore, distill my settings require that transparency will be flattened.   Part of the problem may have to do with the flattening settings used by your customer of PDF creation, not the joboptions themselves. As a general rule, you should have parameters of vector flattening which are set to 100% and the resolution of your device. In addition, you should have your PDF export customers rather than go through the road of distillation of PostScript.

  In addition, even flattening of transparency has seen some significant improvements in the last few editions of InDesign and Acrobat. Remember that CS is InDesign 4. The current version is 6 InDesign (CS4).

  What I would recommend is that you have your client PDF export with transparency dynamic (i.e., PDF 1.5 or higher). You should then flatten the PDF yourself in Acrobat 9 Pro (not previous versions) with the appropriate parameters for your RIP since you know the resolution you are RIP. RIP the resulting PDF file.

  Good luck. And you should really start saving for a RIP update.

  You need to do with animated along.

  1. make sure that "AutoPlay" is disabled in the properties of your onboard ptoject scene animate.

  2. then turn on game action (OnHover) at the beginning of the time line.

  I'm looking at feathers against the blur. in illustrator, effect of the menu drop down.

  what I have, I understand the Gaussian Blur/Blur in photoshop effects (in illustrator) will Pixelize the gradation from the edge, but the effect Illustrator 'feather, will keep this vector, is this correct?

  sample here they both look the same to me, and I noticed that the feather effect was Gaussian blur to the edge still to produce its result.

  from what I see I should be able to make one of these more bigger than a billboard and they would all be two smooth yet degraded being? or Blur Gaussian would cause pixelation unless I got the vector object correctly dimensioned in the document in the first place to fit the display panel.

  GBlur starts at the edge of the object and goes towards the inside and the outside.

  Pen will not increase the size (preview) of the original object.

  G - Blur will increase the size of the object (preview) of 50% of the value of the GBlur.

  Hi all, when I add the lumetri looks like a clip on my calendar first pretty much grinds to stop and I can't do anything.

  I'm sorry for the inconvenience this causes. We know the performance issues that were introduced in version 7.2 with some AMD GPU cards.

  We're now investigating the problem.

  I know that's not ideal, but in the meantime, here are a few workarounds:

  -Back to 7.1

  -Disable GPU acceleration when you use these effects

  Here is a list of the effects that seem more problematic:

  * Fast color corrector

  * RGB curves

  * ProcAmp

  * Feather edge

  * Effects Lumetri looks

  These effects do not appear to hinder the execution in my tests:

  * All blur effects

  * Three way color

  * Harvest

  * Caches

  * Levels

  Again, I apologize the problem caused.

  This isn't a "stupid bug.  You have the box "Auto mask" checked, which tells the adjustment brush to do exactly that (to limit the effect of the colors similar to the box in the center of the brush).

  Clear this check box.

• Image compression when you export a site

  I use Muse 3.2 build 2 (so a recent version)

  I'm worried about what size are the size of myimages file when the site export as HTML feature so that I can then FTP to my host.
  I took the time to collect and compress files jpg with a smaller size file without quality loss.

  I have quite a few images in the widgets (menus accordions and slide shows etc) but Muse does 2 things.

  1. put an extra machine generated filenames on the end of each file.

  2 change my jpg png and massively increase the size of the file, for example the size, we went from 22 k to 129 k and many ot the files that I spent the time compression until less than 10 k are now over 40 k. If I can't change what is an incredible waste of time with these overides the export and also heavy bandwidth, especially as my pages are image heavy, some use 30 + images.

  Is there something that I am missing to stop what is happening to export?

  Yes, Muse is re - make the images as png when you add any kind of effect; drop in particular the shadows, corners rounded, etc - and when Muse does this, you've discovered your irritation, it increases really the size of your files and the main part of the site. When Muse looks at how you have designed your site and see all these ' added extras ' he does the work of effects for you and re-renders, but with little regard for the size.

  The only way around this is to apply this type of effects in PS and then drop them in Muse with all the extras is already made. In this way when Muse looks over your work and design and sees no 'added extra' that he must return, it must pass over your images without touching leaving them the size of the file, the extension and the conpression as it should for you. This feature is ideal for one person only has a few images, or know not how apply shadows to make a rounded edge etc effect in Psalm... but certainly, you pay for it on the other end.

  I need to work with "Glowing Edge", making the text.  I know that the effect is not available in this way, so I create text on a background, save it as a JPG file, and then bring the photo in Photoshop as an ordinary image.  However, the "Brilliant effect" function still won't itself available (light gray).  If I add any other pic JPG typical of my working file, I can create a "Glowing Edge" fine effect.  I don't understand why there is no difference in the JPG, I created vs any other image file.

  Can someone give me an overview of this, or a good way to create a "Glowing Edge" effect on a text of the logo?

  Probably, you work on a file that is 16-bit. The glowing edges filter works on 8-bit. Just go to Image > Mode to change the bits per channel.

  As far as the application of non-destructive one shiny edges Live text effect, you can try a combination or an inner and outer glow in the layer effects. If you post a screenshot of what you're trying to achieve, we can probably give you better pointers.
