  I created two guests (edited the formula) and passing values to two variables var_from and var_to presentation. In the report, I limit the query on assistance between motor coaches for both the presentation variable. Everything works fine but the problem is I need display var_from and var_to in my report also.
  
  I'm referencing variables like ' @{var_from}' and ' @{var_to}' but I get two columns as white. I don't really know why I get empty values for these two columns only when I am able to filter my report with success on the basis of the date values in the guests...
  
  Just to metion... in my database, I have values in m/d/yyyy format only. So I am able to use the calendar successfully

  Drafts of answers do you see? ID wait, but on the dashboard when you set filters, you should see values that crosses?
  You can extend the syntax of the variable closely and provide a default value, so when you work in the answers you can see what it looks like,

  something like @{var_from} {January 1, 2010 ""}

  Also you can reference variables in the title, the subtitle or the narrative views if you want.

  I am currently working on an interactive flash application for an open company day celebration for children and adults. The app is nearly complete but I even if I need an arrow to the left in case the user change their mind on some selections. At the beginning of the application, the user is prompted for their title with a combo box of actionscripted, as well as their first and last name values.
  
  I have problems with when the steps of the user to that image from the drop-down list box does not show the value that has been shopping in title_cb. I had the values of fname and family name in the correct text entry areas, it's just the drop-down list box. I guess its the code that is bad, but don't know what else to try.

  I had trouble getting the resource specifications to work - probably just didn't make the time to understand.   By doing this, I can create a recursive function that goes through the entire user interface and retrieves the values of the elements and writes this information to an xml file. I have not tried this with the method of specifications for resources, so I don't know if it will work with it.

  To reference a variable use of presentation @{VariableName}, if you write this in an expression you can set a default value using @{VariableName} {defaultvalue}

• How can I edit a PDF file to have an expanded text box and more small margins?

  I just read a long discussion initiated by a guy who wanted to reconstruct a PDF file to print less pages. I do not ask this topic. I am aware that Acrobat 9 Pro will not recompose the pages in a PDF for you. as someone has said, it is not a word processing program. I want to copy a PDF file into a new file with an expanded text box and more small margins, so I can read it more easily. My view is not so great.

  I try to print a U.S. supreme court decision, for my study. The problem is that these PDF files of such decisions are composed of 10-points with generous margins, in pages of Folio-size smaller than 8 1/2 x 11 "." When you open PDFs of these decisions, you get the margins very broad and relatively small characters. Essentially, I would like to re-rasterize the document so it prints on my 8 1/2 x 11 "paper in a larger size of apparent type, but at the same high resolution as the original. Moreover, the decision that I'm getting is almost 200 pages long, so I won't do that, of course, in a page-by-page manner.

  I guess I could do it in Photoshop, in pages to blow and their culture. Photoshop does a good job of eliminating aliasing when you do this. But it seems to me better to re-rasterize pages of the source PDF file. If any player would be nice enough to explain this process? (I'm fairly warned in Photoshop, Illustrator and printer of computing concepts, but a complete newb in Acrobat).

  If you want just this for printing, one thing you can easily do is to crop all pages to remove the margins. For example, you can RP 2 "on the left and right sides, and 1.5" off the top and bottom. Then print using a Scaling of the Page to "adapt to the printable area.

  To crop in Acrobat 9, select: Document > Pages of culture

  Be sure to select all for the page range.

  An approach more:

  using filter based on another request...

  create a query containing the following columns... (Assuming that YYYY / MM column is: A).

  Min (A)

  "and keep the filter on A > ' @{p_month}"
  Save this report with a name: RapportB

  Your main report on A filter should be like this:

  filter on a column > advanced > filter based on another request, now browse the RapportB and then to specify the unique column present in this report to be filtered...

• Audio editing based on presenter 8 slides

  I have a very basic question.  When you use presenter 8, how we re - record audio on a single slide in the presentation?  I noticed the mention of the option to record the audio for the entire presentation or a single slide mode, but this box does not appear when I type record. All I want to do is find the way the faster re - save a single slide in a presentation.

  Audio recording for any slide replace the previous audio present on the slide or

  simply record audio if the blade has no audio.

  Here are the steps:

  1. display the slide you want to edit audio.

  2. click on the audio button.

  3 PPT slide show and the record dialog box will appear once the device (MIcrophone) for registration will be verified.

  4. click on the record button on the recording of the presenter dialog box and start recoeding.

  You must save the audio once you have finished recording.

  There is a Slide Navigator on the record audio dialog box that can be used to navigate to any slide in the presentation.

  A 'play' button is present to play and control audio recorded.

• Add up the scores in the text box with a variable

  I create a quiz form that does not use the quiz slides (5,5) standard Adobe Captivate. I get the learner to mark themselves and enter the score into a text entry in a TextAreaWithVariable area. The scores are then displayed on the last page in the corresponding text box TextAreaWithVariable.

  I wish that Captivate to add up the scores on the last page. I've read somewhere that you use Actions in advance, so when the student enters the page it triggers the calculation by using the action of the Expression. The problem is that when you configure the action, it does not recognize the three TextAreaWithVariables on the page. They are all appointed, but the action does not pick up them.

  Could you get it someone please let me know where I am going wrong here.

  I've been blogging on the use of the text with Variables by Jim box:

  In the article referenced to in this post, you will find explanations in detail the advanced actions that I used.

  But I'm a little afraid that I need additional information:

  • you have a text box, with its variable partner on one page and this variable gets its value (20) by the user
  • How many of these slides you?
  • but then, you talk of multiple partitions that you want to summarize in a total variable to be displayed on another TextArea widget to the last slide.

  How you trigger the advanced actions to calculate the sum? I suggest that use you the action on enter each slide after the first question slide to temporary sum. Try to explain:

  1. Score of the first slide in question entered by the user and stored in the variable v_quest1
  2. Entering the second question slide create this advanced standard action triggered by action on enter on this slide
     • Expression v_sum = v_sum + v_quest1
     • Continue
  3. Entering the third question slide create a similar action with the score stored in v_quest2
     
     • Expression v_sum = v_sum + v_quest2
     • Continue
  4. When you enter the slide of score you the last of this breakthrough of similar actions to trigger and the final result will be in v_sum

  If you do not need to keep the individual from each question scores, you can even re - use only a single variable v_quest that would be associated with all widgets except on the slide to score and you can reuse the action advanced on each slide without having to edit.

• Column unresolved when using presentation variable in the filter responses

  I am using a dashboard command prompt that sets a variable presentation - pres_year. I use the presentation variable in the filter of the application.
  In the 'Criteria' tab, in the filter for a request, I put a year column (YEAR) the presentation via the Expr Variable variable and enter the variable name of presentation only. End up with:
  YEAR is equal to / is in @{pres_year}
  
  When you use the dashboard, the prompt and ask all work fine. The problem is when I'm in demand for answers and I click on the "View results" button I get the following error:
  "NQSError: 27005 unresolved column pres_year'.

  Set a default value after the presentation variable in your filter. If you put no default value, and then in the responses, the application not of value to the variable of presentation. Click on the filter and add default value. Then it won't work.

• Fun with presentation Variables

  Hi all-
  
  Recently, I built an analysis Sales Promotion Contribution of gross margin using reports built Answes, dashboards and dashboard invites you. The math for this analysis becomes complex because it applies for a period limited in time, aims to increase sales by a specific percentage increase and has to account for the incentives of the sales force and discounts to customers among other items deemed "Promo related Articles". I used guests from dashboard to create presentation variables which are then used in all of the elements of the promotion of calculated measures.
  
  My frustration with this approach, it's that I have to include a "column to filter in a dashboard command prompt. I can just create a command prompt to set a variable. I'm interested to hear from people who have encountered this situation and how they "worked around her. Here is my point of view:
  
  1. the guest on columns that are not in any of the reports. It is the simplest approach. As long as the column is not used by an another command prompt and is not in a report, you can "filter" it without having any impact on the results displayed in the dashboard. If the same column is used in two different guests, I found that setting a prompt automatically updates the values of all the other guests using the same column. If you invite him on a column used in a report it will apply a filter on this report (there are ways around that, but I simply avoid that situation using columns that are not included in reports for initialization variables of presentation).
  
  2. I intend to create a new query Table based in my area which is a "select... from dual ', have a list of columns that is simply the place with data holders different types that I can use for the creation of dashboard of guests that initialize variables of the presentation. The plan is that my query is always returns consecutive signle there touch now and external joined table of facts in the area in question so that I can include in my dashboard of guests without impact on the results of the query.

  And what about the variables with filters in the range? I really want to create variables for 'Promo start week' and "Promo week end" but so far I've been prevented because they apply to the same column, and if I put one, the other will automatically change the same value.

• the pages for iOS - how to resize a text box and forms manually

  I added text boxes to my sheet. However, I can't get close to the size I want, which is not noticeable to someone else, but I wish they were accurate.

  example: I want to 1inchx4inch. but now the box and adjusting the size I can get 1.02x3.98. 99x4.01, etc.

  I know it still looks the same as the sizes are extremely close, but if there was a way t adjust by entering the desired size that I would rather do.

  If it is a file that you edit on your Mac you can certainly do here in the Inspector.

  If you are only in iOS with this you can try zooming in - you can have more control over it.
