  My P200-1EE won't play HD DVDs. At startup the HD DVD software with an HD DVD in the drive, the drive displays on the screen, and after a short time returns an error.   Problem is that I do not use any display on the screen of the laptop. Only the screen of the laptop is available when I use FN + F5 suggestion. It does not cure the problem.

  I searched this forum for similar issues and I think I have a solution.
  It seems that the Realtek audio driver causes this problem.

  According to this Toshiba document a new soud driver installation will help you solve this problem of HD - DVD.

• Noise of rattling of Toshiba Rdxv60kb and no reaction

  I have one of these units combi bought a month ago.

  But now when I turn it on it on all three LED to VCR, DVD, HDD & light, dubbing LED will blink, and there is a clicking noise. There is not put on the screen and no response to the remote control.

  Any ideas?

  I have a combi unit and it worked OK until recently, but it is now the same thing you described. I need to transfer family and historical tapes VHS on DVD, but I was unable to find solutions on the web or elsewhere.

  Please, if anyone has solutions, I woud be grateful for any help here.

  Have you tested the different with several original DVDs DVD recorder and eventually recorded with program?

  If I understand you right, you can see the menu and everything but only video material is not visible, right?

  Please check the BIOS settings and there must be an option to activate the output SCART. TV Type = PAL (SCART) option should be available in the BIOS, page 2.

  Hi Im post for one of my friends, they're trying to hook up a toshiba rdxv60kb 9 years old sky box recorder, and the EPG option is grayed out on the recorder.

  They have no phone line connected to the satellite box and I was expecting a confirmation as to what it could be?

  EPG cannot be displayed during recording.

  To call EPG while you watch analog/DVB channel or external input (AV1/AV2/DV (AV3)), press the GUIDE.
  You can also view EPG by following the steps.
  1 in stop mode, press SETUP. Select the timer programming by using the up and down arrows, then press ENTER\OK.
  2 Select EPG using the arrow pointing upwards and downwards, then press ENTER\OK

  I think that he should t be a problem to buy a cable to other computer stores. These are only external cables with standardized connector.

  But you should only purchase high quality cables. I don't have good experience with less expensive cord, for example without shielding.

• Question on Qosmio VCR recording

  I want to record my old personal videos of tapes from VCR to DVD using my Qosmio F10. I connect the analog output of VCR via a coaxial cable on the antenna TV Qosmio entry and configure the Qosmio to recognize the input VCR as just another TV channel. He recorded on the hard disk using MCE, but the quality is poor compared to the original video soundtrack. The color and sound are correct, but the photos lack detail and clarity.

  Is there a setting on the Qosmio that I can use to improve the quality or even the entry type that I use. My old VCR has a coaxial and SCART output and I can't get the SCART output to the entry for the Qosmio.

  I think that the bad image quality is due to the use of a connection of the coaxial cable from your VCR to your laptop. I use the output SCART on my VCR to connect to one map data (USB) on my SA30 acquisition, but I think that your Qosmio has already entered composites available.

  I use a SCART to Composite adapter (available in most PC or electrical stores retailers) and find that it gives me excellent image and sound (but not DVD quality levels).

  I never managed to get a connection S-video from my VCR to my other work SA30 in black & white.

  Okay, it looks like a really not nice problem.

  So, how do you try to switch to the TV? You have the possibility in your display properties, but not the machine * recognize * the TV? You also have the FN + F5 key combination to change the display, have you already tried?

  As far as I know that you need a 15V car adapter
  As you say in your message above the car on eBay adapter supports 19V.

  In your case I would contact the authorised Toshiba partner in your country and would order the adapter car from these guys.
  The ASP can provide 100% compatible parts and in this case, you would be sure that parties are supported at 100% and damage the laptop!

  I use a home theater 5.1 for audio from the TV via a port SCART (only possible connection)

  What is Vista?

  If yes then another question; have you installed SP1?

  Please also see the European driver of Toshiba page and choose your model of laptop.
  There is a DVD HD v4.32.00 patch reader.
  The other version 4.51.07 HD DVD player is a full version and if the patch won't work, then you must install the full version.

  As the bed of the subject line, I will put up a new Tecra M10 with the Express Port Replicator and monitor LCD Toshiba Tekbright 20 ".

  The system works on Windows XP, and the ordinary VGA connection on the port replicator works fine when connected to the external LCD.

  However, there seems to be no way to get the DVI interface on port replicator, working on the LCD.

  I tried to run this utility, and it does not detect the DVI monitor at all.

  Your Tecra M10 has DVI port?
  Replicator port is not some sort of converter and it will be just a loop through the signal directly from the laptop.
  If the computer laptop doesn t supports DVI output you cannot expect to get signal from the port replicator.

  He's certainly the same question as in your case and the solution was a DVD player patches installation or installation of new full HD DVD player.
