  Using Captivate 7 for Mac software Simulation mode, with the web application in particular, I use, the legends «Click on the ...» "are rarely useful and highlight boxes are confusing mess.

  I use Windows 7. But I guess you can find an equivalent place on Mac.

  Go in Edition > Preferences > recording > Modes. Make sure that the demo mode is selected in the Mode drop-down list. Disable add text captions and add boxes to highlight on Click checkboxes.

  In the edit view, right-click on a highlight box. Select Properties, and then click Options. Anything in the item name field and click OK. What you type is stored, but is it possible for me to see on the timeline? I can see image names, legend text, drag the names, but not highlight boxes. This would be very useful.

  This is one of the features less known who have been added to the CP5, but sorry, not here in CP4. In addition these labels in CP5 are now visible in the view of Advanced Interaction. I've talked about in this blog post:

• Highlight box filled an outdoor space

  I'm gray on a screenshot (captured with SnagIt), all leaving part of the no grey screen. So, in other words: the opposite of a highlight.
  
  I chose the highest point of the properties box and checked the box that says 'area external fill', clicked OK, but nothing happened. On the screen, I can see the dotted line and corner "grabber" boxes showing where should be the highlight, but there's no highlighting inside or outside the area.
  
  If I uncheck the "External fill area", the highlight is displayed (in a transparency of 50%, as I was clear). I moved the highlight box and down the layers, but that did not fix the problem. I can't create the transparent box surrounded by a semi-transparent area.

  Looks like you're talking about what you see in the edit box. Try re-selection fill outside space and affecting the black fill color. After that, get a preview in the browser to see the effect. I think that you will be happy.

  I have a need to create a non-editable text box (staticTextBox is not an option). I use TextEditbox but cannot find a property that can be set to make it readonly so that users can edit the text.

• Highlight box should appear when click click on box.

  Hello!

  I created a few hotspots on an image by inserting click boxes. (I don't not used the model for hotspots because it seems linked to a slide in the quiz results, and I would like to avoid this).

  When you click on it, so I want a highlight box (the box clicked on the slide is marked).

  So I check it click, under properties, select 'Show' success. I then check the point of climax to be shown.

  During the preview, the highlight box is always visible. What should I do to make the highlight box invisible at first, then be visible only after the click box was clicked?

  I can do if there is only one box of click (pause project until user clicks, point box culminating place later on the timeline).

  But it's a problem when there are several 'hot spots' (click on the boxes) on the image. Then, highlight boxes appear all at once.

  I just tried this:

  • created a legend of text with your message in case of failure and set it to invisible
  • created a text with your message on the success caption and set it to invisible
  • created two highlight boxes and overflew the regions of correct and make them invisible
  • as long as action of success for the click box, I put only see the legend of success (unless you want to not put the playback head?)
  • as an action of failure:
    • show two to highlight boxes and the legend of the failure

• Translation problem click / highlight boxes when copy and paste slides from another project

  I am baffled by this problem because it doesn't seem wise. I opened a new project to record a simulation, and when I did, I copy and paste all the slides in the section in my "Master project" If you want to. After the dough, I noticed that all of the boxes, clickboxes and highlight, I had taken the time to carefully resize were all out of wack in terms of position. Here are the best, I opened a blank project and copy and paste the same slides... this time the click and highlight boxes were in the correct position. Any ideas?

  Oh, 'in position '... I see...

  The project is bigger than the other? For example, the original perhaps to 800 x 600 and the new to 850 x 650?

  Positioning can then be turned off relatively...

  Take a few elements of the sample and note their x / y positions of the properties panel, in the first draft (under 'Transform' in CP 5.5).

  After pasting in the new, note these same x / y positions.

  Is there a significant factor?

  If this is the problem, make sure that the sizes are the same, make the dough, then expand the project later (and maybe everything will keep its anchors?)

  I have not seen that happen in new versions of CP.

  You can try to check "Keep the Proportions" option in the properties of the original, just in case where this helps to "compel the position" too... guess total...

  It would be easier to change the default settings before you capture, to some of your questions. Edition, preferences, default values

  For editing: many accordions in the box click Properties panel have the button "apply to all items of this type. It's the small curved arrow top right of the accordion. You can use this:

  • When you apply the start time and "for the rest of the slide" at all, click boxes
  • in the Options to apply parameters of Pause and legend to all click boxes
  • in the Action to apply measures of success to all click boxes

  What is not possible for click boxes, because they do not have an object style, is to use this to CB on the slides of your choice.

• Text typed with 'Add or edit text Box' (typewriter) display disappears/do

  It is a PDF file static, flat I simply want to add a few lines of text (type the information on the image of the flat 'form').  I use the tool typewriter text box and displays the typed text.  When I click on the text box, it disappears as if the text color is white.  The text is red.  When I click where it should appear, the outline of the text box appears and double-clicking it allows me to get into the mode where I can see what has been typed edition.  But when I click out of it, it is still hidden.

I could just kiss your neck!  I'm not kidding, I spent many hours for several days to research this issue.  It seems that your post: http://forums.adobe.com/message/1169644#1169644#1169644, did the trick.  Let me assure you, I do not set anything in the regedit.  X - pro has been installed just a month ago and however it has been implemented, that's what I was watching.  I have set dopacity to 1 and my text is now displayed.  Thank you, thank you, thank you.

• Secure documents and editable text boxes?

  How can I insert a text box that can be edited in a document that you have applied the security settings?  I need to prevent the user from changing the document, but still allow them to enter some data.

  Acrobat 8 Standard cannot add form fields. Upgrade to Acrobat 9.

  Is there a way to change the default color of the boxes to highlight? I know how to change the caption boxes, but don't have not found a way to change the hightlight boxes.

  Usually the box highlight * should * remain the last selected color. So if you inserted an and changed the red color, the following that you insert should be red.

  However, I also saw where this does not seem real. Another thing you can try is to set up the color you want, then use the "apply to all". This is a check box that you find in the lower left corner of the dialog box.

  Don't forget that apply it everywhere do not always apply to all. Sometimes it can be a bit in the dark.

  I made salient both audio boxes. They play fine in the preview of the slide, but not in other previews or published project.

  I replaced the with a transparent object, nothing. Sync button, the object is moved forward.

  Remember to add the audio in the form of action for them, but before you go this route, I wanted to see if there was something that I missed.

  Play Slide is NOT a method of preview, does not display the objects appear as they will be after the publication. It is only intended to be used for synchronization. You see not "Overview" in this option, right? It's too complicated, it is under the Preview button, agree on this.
