Edit in Photoshop CC command in Lightroom 5 opens an older version of PS CC

On the mavericks of OS X 10.9.2 in Lightroom 5.3 every time I have use one of editing in Photoshop CC orders he always throws an old version 14.00 vs the recent 14.2

Than you for your help DdeGannes

I can say thankfully its now fixed I looked in my folder applications several times and could not find any other "Photoshop CC.app" only "photoshop CS6.app' & 'PSE.app' which is not the culprit, so I was thinking could otherwise how lightroom pulling up another version of Photoshop CC I did a global search for Mac for the file name"Photoshop CC.app"and bam are 1 in the documents as a backup Photoshop before I installed a few plugins, so I went and renamed the file "backup Photoshop CC.app" and boom Lightroom now only launches the latest version, I still think that everything is good, but it looks like there's a bug or glitch in OS X or LR5 to do what he did and I don't have a pre launch photoshop all the time now

  • Edit in photoshop, then back to lightroom

I apologize if this has been asked before, but I've been looking for awhile now and have not found an answer.

If I choose the option "Edit in photoshop" in lighroom, images open in photoshop as expected.  If I then save the image in PS, it folds a new version of tiff image which is then returned in lightroom.  If I come back in lightroom and select my new image edited in PS and now apply one of my presets, the image is horrible and not what the screening is supposed to look like.  I think it is because when you open a canon RAW file, some cursors are set to certain values.  For example, the BRIGHTNESS is + 50 default on a RAW file.  When I apply my preset brightness going up to + 60.  However, on my new tiff PS edited, the brightness is set to 0, and when I apply the same predefined, instead of 10, it goes up to 60, which of course blows the entire image on since it's an increase of 60 and not 10 like I applied the preset in the original RAW file.

My question is, is anyway to reset the image somehow so a preset will look good on a PS edited tiff?

    Thank you.

    N ° your presets are designed to work with raw images, your images from Photoshop are perfectly rendered and gamma encoded. Your only options are to create new presets specifically for TIFF / {SD/JPEG images or apply the current settings before you send the image to Photoshop.}

  • Edit in photoshop cc opens an older version of PS CC!

I've just updated LR CC & CC PS to the latest versions. Now, when I am in LR & use the option "change in" & select CC in Photoshop, open the old version before updating!

I can get around this by opening the PS CC directly from the app of creative cloud first, leave it open... Start LR CC & then select Edit in Photoshop CC it will then open the file in the latest version.

    It's driving me crazy!

I use this on an iMac with Yosemite 10.10.5

  • How to reduce the size of the file when editing in Photoshop - then back to Lightroom

Sometimes I like to edit photos from Lightroom in Photoshop then re - record return to Lightroom, my pictures are of the Nikon Nef raw and they come usually in about 24 MB and it's ok. The problem is when I change in LR to PS - Photoshop transforms the image into a Tiff file and I have some pictures to nearly 400 MB being imported to LR, I merge layers, and flatten the image etc then go to file and then save and I can't reduce them. Y at - it an easy way to convert the final image to a Tiff NEF file with just a click of mouse, thank you very much I'm new on this and find nice software to use all the ideas please.

Another thing to consider is that you can change your Lightroom preferences to save TIF 8-bit images. This would significantly reduce the size of these files.

  • Image edited in Photoshop does not exit Lightroom after 2016 CC-06

I upgraded from Lightroom and Photoshop for the latest versions of CC this week (June 2016) and ran into a problem.

I have re-kept the image in PS and no change in LR. I also deleted the image of LR and re-imported, but LR unclear some of my layers in the view of the presentation.

When I export the image as a JPG in LR, it also has the ugly marks on a model otherwise nice! Likewise for the mobile unit, too.

    Ideas on how to fix?

I use the version of Windows, and yes I am a member of CC so versions are all more recent.  I haven't touched adjustment, cos 2 days ago, everything was fine. I tried to solve this night last cos my pending jobs and found that the reason is something on Camera Raw, photoshop cos did not open or even acknowledged raw files if I tried to open it directly without Lightroom.

I installed all the Adobe programs still did not work. After that I raise Creative suite cleanin tool which I used and it brought a solution. A moment ago, all is well again, but the main reason for this behavior is not found.

So something serious is wrong but don't know what to do if only solve own anything to bad behavior of applications.

  • Lightroom loses NAS file locations after external editing in photoshop

When I use Lightroom and use the command to edit my RAW files in Photoshop and then save and close Photoshop and Lightroom loses my file locations.

Indeed, in my test, the original RAW file that I edited was on my NAS server in ' / Volumes/home/something thing-private/Photos/original/_DSH4794.» NAVE. Published Photoshop saved successfully the new file in the same folder that "/ Volumes/home/something-private/Photos/original/_DSH4794-Edit-2.tif" but Lightroom was get her in "/ home/something-private/Photos/original/_DSH4794-Edit-2.tif".

It seems that Lightroom is ripped off the beginning of the game "/ Volumes" file path and I have to say Lightroom where the file is really so he could rebuild the link. No idea how to solve this problem?

I work with the following configuration:

    -Mac OS X Yosemite 10.10.5

-Home-made NAS (freenas) server to store all my RAW files

    -Lightroom version: CC 2015.2.1

    -Adobe Photoshop Version: 2015.0.1

08-12-2015, it's always the same problem with Lightroom version: CC 2015.3 and Adobe Photoshop Version: 2015.1 unfortunately!

I did more stable after reading a message on another forum (LR loses the locations of files after that I have Edit in photoshop on my iMac - Lightroom Forums) and found out that the problem was caused by the AFP share name: home. It seems Lightroom or Photoshop don't like stocks AFP named 'home' when it comes to performing a "Edit in Adobe Photoshop CC 2015...". I renamed my AFP share in 'nashome', and it's working now.

The cause has been found and there is an easy solution, but the problem is still to be fixed by Adobe now!

  • Why can´t I synchronize photos with their previous version in lightroom after doing editations in Photoshop?

    Hello!

-J' have a RAW-foto in Lightroom, that I have already edited with tools in lightroom (color, clarity, whitebalance etc..)

-I need to change some things in Photoshop, so I right click and select (CTRL + E) "(Edit in photoshop)"

-A version without my lightroom to photoshop editations openes, I do my editations it

-J' I save the photo in photoshop, and it is imported to my catalog of lightroom as a PSD file, being stacked with the original. -well, now the problem:

-If I select the new and the original version (RAW + PSD file) and try to synchronize my editations to lightroom for the PSD of the file, changes color completely and there are even a few place moves through the face of the model, that DO NOT EXIST in the original photo this synchronization to I m starting! WHY! I really do not understand...

See here on my Dropbox for a better understanding (for some reason that I can't download the pictures directly here):

    Dropbox - help adobe

Thank you for your help appreciated

Process of synchronization of lla you describe, it's not how it should work. When you edit in Photoshop with Ctrl-E, Lightroom, must pass the file raw and XMP data for your montages on Photoshop. Photoshop uses his Camera Raw engine to make these changes, and you should see a background layer that has all of your edits included.

the fact that you do not see the changes in Photoshop makes me suspicious that you have an old version of Photoshop (with an old Camera Raw). What version of LR and PS do you use? If you use an older Photoshop here, by what to do:

Normally, you will see a dialog box warning that would give you the opportunity to 'Return in Lightrom', but you may have disabled it. To reset, go in Edition > Preferences > General and click the button "reset all warning dialog boxes.»

Once you do this, opening in an earlier version of Photoshop will trigger an alert allowing you the choice of 'open anyway', or "make in Lightroom."  You must choose to render in Lightroom.

  • LR3 - edit in Photoshop problem

I'm pretty new to Lightroom, so I checked the previous messages and reading the manuals, but I can't find an answer to my problem.

I have LR3 and CS5 using the Prophoto color profile on a Windows 7 system. I always shoot RAW (NEF) and use generally two LR3 and CS5 to process an image.

The question I have is after the image processing in LR3, I use Photo/edit in Photoshop, then, for the image to open it in CS5, make a couple of other methods (crop & clone tool) and then 'save' (not ' Save as '). When I discovered the image of 'Change' in LR3 initial settings have changed considerably. The image is also slightly darker. I've also experimented in the accomplishment of any process in CS5 by going directly to 'save', but the same problems prevail.

Is an example of the difference in parameters:

    LR3 parameters; Tint + 10, exhibition - 0.24, recovery 46 filling L 3, Black 7.

    Edit version shows; Hue + 1, exhibition - 0.41, exit 23, filling L 0, black 5.

Can someone give me please an answer as to why the edit back version settings are not the same as those indicated in the first transformed RAW version which also leads to a darker picture?

What happens if reset you 'All development of default settings' in 'Preferences' 'Presets '?

  • Edit in Photoshop from Dreamweaver

Did you remove the old photoshop in the list first, before adding the new, then set it to primary?

  • Edited in Photoshop does not correctly display in Lightroom after recording the images

    Hello

I recvently EU cloud Adobe and upgraded from Lightroom 3 or 4.  Since the upgrade I had problems with Lightroom not correctly display images edited in Photoshop.  Instead of the photoshop image, it creates a new jpeg image and appears in the library.  the PSD is not loaded into the library.

I take a jpeg image of my library and shoosing the change based on Photoshop.  By selecting Edit a copy, I'm tried with the original and edit a copy with lightroom adjustments as well as with the same results.

In Photoshop, I duplicate the base layer, the image upscaling, running some filters, addition of volunteering adjustment layers.

I save the image in Photoshop format in the original folder where the original jpeg was in the Lightroom library.  I record with maximize compatibility on.

When I return to Lightroom, the catalog displays the two files, the original jpeg and a copy identical to it, NOT the new file in photoshop with alterations.  If I go in the folder images occupy in the Finder using the Finder command show two images link to the same original jpeg format.  The modified file to photoshop is there in the folder but does not appear in Lightroom unless I drag and drop it.

I've disabled all the filters and ensured that the sort is sort by name.  The image does not automatically appears in Lightroom after mounting.  Any suggestions?

    Thanks for any help!

PS. I'm not looking for the subject, and there are discussions since 2007 and lightroom 2 but their solution was to start from scratch basically and I have a carefully labeled, starred and labeled catalog of more than 30 000 images and really don't want to do that

Images that are edited in Photoshop will be displayed automatically in Lr only when the image file saved in Photoshop is identical to open LR.

You say you open a jpg of Lr, then edit in PS-among other things-adding a few layers. Layers are not supported in JPG format, so you must either save it as a psd or a copy in jpg.

In both cases, is not the same image as the one opened in Lr file, so it will have to be imported into Lr appears. If flatten you your image after editing in PS and then do a to your JPG - not a - it will be displayed in Lr.

PS: the only exception is when you open a raw image from Lr into PS and you save it to PS in the format of file specified in Lr for external mounting. The saved file is automatically displayed in LR.
