• VI Analyzer - edit saved config with LabVIEW 8.6.1 problem

  I use VI Analyzer with great success, but have recently switched to LabVIEW 8.6.1.  I am trying to load, edit and save a file previously configured and when I save and run a file CFG 'old', the tests are completely different.

  Specifically, I'm trying to change the chess ' maximum reported "since 'Block-> Style-> son under objects' from the default setting of 5 to 10.  After I change the value to 10 and save the configuration, change the selected tests stored in the CFG file and I can not run the same tests selected before changing the numeric value.

  I wonder if this has something to do with this serious bug.

  I think I found my problem.  We have recently added the LabVIEW Instrument Driver VI Analyzer plugin to our installation of LabVIEW. I created the cfg files until we added it.  I use the VI Analyzer API to load and run tests on a selected VI.

  When I insert my old CFG file via "tools-> VI Analyzer-> Analyze live... "on a computer to which I added the plug driver, the default behavior seems to be adding newly found as selected tests (checkbox = True). I changed a value ("Block-> Style-> son and objects-> maximum failures reported" and then by saving the CFG file, and then running the CFG file via the API.)

  I saw 22 more tests running that I select and thought that my change of the numerical value may have had something to do with the bug that I quoted above. I know what the problem is now.  I just need to deselect the Instrument Driver Tests when I save the CFG of the user interface.

  I would say when you load an existing CFG with the VI Analyzer, the default behavior for newly found tests should not be included (box = False), or that a dialog box should inform the user that new or previously configured tests (presumably of the plugins) have been found or are detected as missing.

• Editing software created with labview

  I have a software that was created using labview. It is essentially a software to control a laser machine used for the deposit of material. I also I have the source code of the software. I want to make some modifications to the program. When I do some changes in the source code. I see that there is no change in the software that is an exe file. so, how can I solve this problem? I guess that once I have the changes to the source code, I need to create a new executable from the VI. So I want to know how can I do a new screw exe file has changed.

  I want to know what is the difference between the following

  .VI file

  file .llb

  file .lvllb

  I have problems in creating a Subvi, which includes a matlab file that has a table as input.

  I created a VI, who runs a simple matlab script, with a table as an input and a table as output. It worked well, until I assigned the terminals in order to to use as a Subvi.

  After that the terminals have been assigned, labview crashes instantly when you run the file.

  I also created a VI to test the Subvi, but I couldn't make it work at all, labview always crashed...

  Does anyone know a solution to my problem? They only thing I can think is to not use it as a Subvi, but then my master file will get huge as all the matlab code would be in there...

  This is indeed a bug, unfortunately. Currently followed by using identification number of the 446431 cause. The question arise when moving from an array of doubles in the Script node. The only 'solution' at the present time is to use an array of singles instead. We are currently looking to identify a fix.

• Follow-up activity for the Login/Logout in LabVIEW OI Simple button

  I am struggling to create a way to monitor the TestStand buttons in LabVIEW OI Login/Logout simple specifically (TSUI. IButton).  Someone knows how to do this?  I would really like to find a way to get these buttons to be a kind of event that I could follow with a structure of the event.

  My ultimate goal is to simply show the current user on an indicator placed on the OI and then be able to update the indicator each time that a user logs in or out.

  Just use connect legend. I edited the OI of LabVIEW Simple. Use a Label control or something similar in the palette of TestStand and plug like this in configure Application Manager.vi. Pass the reference of the main vi and voila you have finished.

  I allowed for students to install the version of LABVIEW. I'm new to the LabVIEW.
  I installed license Toolkit LabVIEW Digital Filter Design in my laptop. But I can't find the options of digital filter in treatment of the signal from the controls palette. Its not there despite the installation. I checked in the license OR Manager he said toolkit Digital filter design has been enabled for this computer.
  Can someone please help locate specific digital filter of this Toolbox options? How can I check the functions in the range control to the Toolbox, I installed?

  I am a plsql newbie, so any help is appreciated. There is an existing procedure named "procX" on Oracle DB say package «packX» work I also have the same package locally in my file system, I have I edited the procedure and I now try to test it on my local drive before putting it in the comic book. My test script looks like this:

• Satellite M70-151 - not possible to install new HDD

  I have a problem with my Satellite M70-151. bunch of old hard drive (100 GB Hitachi) reached the Windows XP screen then just ends with a blue screen a turn off laptop, immediately. I had to restore my data with an application file-rescue of another PC. It was not possible to start from old hard drive yet.

  Then I bought a Western Digital SATA II 250 GB hard drive that put my Windows XP CD in DVD player installed and tried to start. The laptop turns off as soon as the laptop computer tried to access the HARD disk.
  Thought, it was question of SATA II disk and tried a Samsung 160 GB Sata I - same result.

  BIOS recognizes the correct drives.

  If I try to boot from old hard drive, it shows the issue I mentioned first, but as before it reaches the Windows XP Boot screen before moving on to the blue screen before turning off the laptop. So start goes further than the boot with new hard drives

  The Windows XP CD I used is not the restore CD that came with the laptop, but a normal license.

  The heat is not a problem, I cleaned the CPU fan there is enough space to breathe the cold air mobile, the temperature is ok.

  * My questions are: *.

  Is there any special application running on laptops satellite, like special software of Toshiba, perhaps Backup, should I be aware of?
  What I need to preformat the hard drive, Toshiba-Hardware will recognize the hard drive?

  It would be great to get help on this issue, because I'm out of ideas. Thanks in advance!

  This behavior is very strange. I have some old Satellite M70-159 with 100 GB HARD drive. I also tested how it will work with a 250 GB HARD drive and all is well.
  On two drives, I have installed WXP using the Toshiba recovery image.

  I answer your two questions No. to install Windows XP Home edition on this model of laptop you don't need some special Toshiba application or a piece of software.
  HDD should be recognized correctly by the BIOS and the Windows XP Home edition installation procedure should work well.
  What you can try is to set the BIOS to the default settings and try again.

  The strange thing for me is that judgment. The blue screen tells me that there may be some serious hardware problem, the HARD drive controller might be. It's really not easy to say with certainty what can be the problem.

• How to start BF537 target to run independent code

  I ran debug code on my BF537 target successfully, but I'm not sure how to deploy or download the code that runs boot up w / no JTAG attachment?  I've been running in start mode 6 (TWI host slave mode).

  I tried to delete the debug Option in the compile Options and then to deploy to target.  Change the Startup Mode to 0 (external memory) & 1 (Flash memory), but that did not work?

  Use a string of Frac/Exp number instead of a decimal string to number.  The decimal string number gives you an integer, so it rounds.

• When you create a custom control, why the option point photo is deleted?

  I adapted a system boolean to add pictures for each of the 6 States (including mouse pointer) by selecting the part of the image in the list and import the image from a .png file.  After the resizing of the control, I replaced every image with a new in size has been fixed.  After replacing the sixth image, control always shows now that he has highlighted version and the photo entry in the run menu item disappeared.  How to restore the behavior of the control for all the images of six?

  According to Dennis, not go on those on Mac. The reason is that they are based on ActiveX controls, and Mac OS does not support ActiveX.

• VI using ActiveX runs under XP, load in Win7 64 bit, but hangs in Win7 32 bit.

  I have a VI that works under windows XP, supported in Windows 7 64 bit (for editing only) but hangs Labview in windows 7 32-bit.  I know the code works, but I have not tried on this particular PC before so I guess that there is an error of configuration somewhere, but dang if I can find it.

  I've included a screenshot of the error as well as a copy of the VI in question.

  UPDATE:

  Problem solved.  It turns out that TI requires a developer version of spectial of their drivers to work with labview, otherwise labview get permission to use the control and the accident.

  Installed the Dev and now everything is normal.

  The stupid thing is that actually, I knew that, but it's been so long that I had to set up a new PC for work with labview that I forgot.
