editing of database startup standby automatically
Hi gurus,I work with a RAC (oracle 11.2.0.3 database) under Red Hat 5.3
yesterday, the server where the database is, mysteriously restarted. But the database does not start automatically, I had to do a manual "startup mount standby database.
There is a setting so that it starts automatically with the mode "startup mount standby database?
I was looking in google but only found scripts that modify the /etc/init.d/dbora or etc/init.d/.dbora.swap, but I guess that this oracle will have a parameter or something to do by itself, I'm wrong?
Thanks for your time.
Hello
When clusterware start the resource (the oraagent.) is not a su (switch user) to the user corresponding environment (since this could introduce other errors).
Therefore, no profile (eg..) bash_profile) haven't is run and therefore not active.
To pass environment variables required for the database, set the environment in the cluster registry (srvctl setenv).
However, it is one of the reasons why I am personally not a big fan of TNS_ADMIN.

Create backup of database existing standby database
I have a scenario where in I need to create a database of Eve from an existing database in standby.
Version of database is 11.2.0.2.0 on Linux. I'm looking for the RMAN duplicate 'of database' to create the new of the day before. But the copy fails with the error below.

Anyone have an idea on this?
This happens as a lock. If I try to apply the 11715084 patch now, it will roll back patch 11815753 and I would get the error related to start not mounted.
Anyone has an idea on how to fix this?
Please re-read my previous posts. Apply the last PSU for 11.2.0.2.0, on the other, you may need to upgrade.
Take a look at this
Bug 11815753 is fixed at 11.2.0.2.5 and bug 11715084 is fixed at 11.2.0.2.9 power supply. I suggest you apply 11.2.0.2.9 PSU that it would contain the bug fixed in the preceding the PSU as well.

I have a request for a phone number in my HTML code in my database which is automatically filled with the correct sales phone number when sending emails. I create HTML code in dreamweaver and then put the code in my e-mail program. I need to make the phone number in the clickable query. I know the code to do it well not in a query. What is the code?
As far as I saw, most of the smartphones will automatically recognize it these days, as long as the number is written in a format of regular phone number. This format also allows to make images or text other than a telephone number in a tap to call the link.
Looking at what you have presented I guess it would be something along the lines of...
When the location of the link and the link text would be the same variable.
I've never worked with Intelliclick so above is a wild guess. They would be those who need to ask themselves if there is a way to fill in the address of a link like that.

commandline of database startup without listening active
Hello
in the past, I started my database under UNIX with this: sqlplus sys/pwd@DATABASE @startup.sql startup.sql contains only "start";
It worked well with databases that have been hard-coded in the listner.ora. But we changed our behavior to listener... now the listener waiting for the connection to the listener, so the command above does no more than databases. I tried:
export ORACLE_SID = DATBASE | sqlplus sys / as sysdba @startup.sql
but it fails with the syntax of sqlplus prompt. Can someone give me a tip or annother opportunity so that it starts the database with a sinlge code line? Maybe something like this is common sense... but I can't make it work:
export ORACLE_SID = DATABASE | sqlplus < < EOF connect / as sysdba \n startup\n quit \n EOF
Thank youuser10650608 wrote:

I want to just start and stop a single database. A startup on the dbhost Script would be OK, but I don't know how :-(
perform the backup of this script change the script as you want.

Here's my question after tons of research and test without have the right solutions.
Target:
(1) I have a 12.1.0.2 database unique main enterprise 'testdb' as database instance running on the server "node1".
(2) I created physical standby database "stbydb" on the server "node2".
(3) DataGuard running on the mode of MaxAvailability (SYNC) with roll forward in real time 12 default c apply.
(4) primary database has 3 groups of one-man redo. (/oraredo/testdb/redo01.log redo02.log redo03.log)
(5) I've created 4 standby redo logfiles (/oraredo/testdb/stby01.log stby02.log stby03.log stby04.log)
(6) I do RMAN backup (database and archivelog) on the site of relief only.
(7) I want to use this backup for full restore of the database on the primary database.
He is a DR test to simulate the scenario that has lost every primary & Eve total servers.
Here is how to save, on the database pending:
(1) performance 'alter database recover managed standby database Cancel' to ensure that compatible data files
(2) RMAN > backup database;
(3) RMAN > backup archivelog all;
I got elements of backup and copied to primary db Server something like:
/Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_nnndf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq099p_.BKP (data files)
/Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.BKP (spfile & controlfile)
/Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_annnn_TAG20151002T133357_c0xq15xf_.BKP (archivelogs)
So here's how to restore, on the main site:
I clean all the files (data files, controlfiles oder all gone).
(1) restore spfile from pfile
RMAN > startup nomount
RMAN > restore spfile from pfile ' / home/oracle/pfile.txt' to ' / home/oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.bkp';
(2) modify pfile to convert to db primary content. pFile shows below
*.audit_file_dest='/opt/Oracle/DB/admin/testdb/adump '
* .audit_trail = "db".
* full = '12.1.0.2.0'
*.control_files='/oradata/testdb/control01.ctl','/orafra/testdb/control02.ctl'
* .db_block_size = 8192
* .db_domain = "
*.db_file_name_convert='/testdb/','/testdb /'
* .db_name = "testdb".
* .db_recovery_file_dest ='/ orafra'
* .db_recovery_file_dest_size = 10737418240
* .db_unique_name = "testdb".
*.diagnostic_dest='/opt/Oracle/DB '
* .fal_server = "stbydb".
* .log_archive_config = 'dg_config = (testdb, stbydb)'
* .log_archive_dest_2 = "service = stbydb SYNC valid_for = (ONLINE_LOGFILE, PRIMARY_ROLE) db_unique_name = stbydb'"
* .log_archive_dest_state_2 = 'ENABLE '.
*.log_file_name_convert='/testdb/','/testdb /'
* .memory_target = 1800 m
* .open_cursors = 300
* runoff = 300
* .remote_login_passwordfile = "EXCLUSIVE."
* .standby_file_management = "AUTO".
* .undo_tablespace = "UNDOTBS1.
(3) restart db with updated file pfile
SQLPLUS > create spfile from pfile='/home/oracle/pfile.txt'
SQLPLUS > the judgment
SQLPLUS > startup nomount
(4) restore controlfile
RMAN > restore primary controlfile to ' / home/oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.bkp';
RMAN > change the editing of the database
(5) all elements of backup catalog
RMAN > catalog starts by ' / home/oracle/backupset / '.
(6) restore and recover the database
RMAN > restore database;
RMAN > recover database until the SNA XXXXXX; (this YVERT is the maximum in archivelog backups that extends beyond the scn of the backup of the data file)
(7) open resetlogs
RMAN > alter database open resetlogs;
Everything seems perfect, except one of the file log roll forward pending is not generated
SQL > select * from v$ standby_log;
ERROR:
ORA-00308: cannot open archived log ' / oraredo/testdb/stby01.log'
ORA-27037: unable to get file status
Linux-x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory
Additional information: 3
no selected line
I intended to use the same backup to restore primary basic & helps record traffic and the downtime between them in the world of real output.
So I have exactly the same steps (except STANDBY restore CONTROLFILE and not recover after database restore) to restore the database pending.
And I got the same missing log file.
The problem is:
(1) complete alert.log filled with this error, not the concern here
(2) now repeat it in real time apply won't work since the Party shall LGWR shows always "WAITING_FOR_LOG."
(3) I can't delete and re-create this log file
Then I tried several and found:
The missing standby logfile was still 'ACTIVE' at present RMAN backup was made.
For example, on db standby, under Group #4 (stby01.log) would be lost after the restoration.
SQL > select GROUP #, SEQUENCE #, USE (s), the STATUS from v$ standby_log;
GROUP # SEQUENCE # USED STATUS
---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
4 19 ACTIVE 133632
5 0 0 UNASSIGNED
6 0 0 not ASSIGNED
7 0 0 UNASSIGNED
So until I take the backup, I tried on the primary database:
SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2 = delay;
This was the Group of standby_log side Eve #4 was released:
SQL > select GROUP #, SEQUENCE #, USE (s), the STATUS from v$ standby_log;
GROUP # SEQUENCE # USED STATUS
---------- ---------- ---------- ----------
4 0 0 UNASSIGNED
5 0 0 UNASSIGNED
6 0 0 not ASSIGNED
7 0 0 UNASSIGNED
Then, the backup has been restored correctly without missing standby logfile.
However, to change this primary database means break DataGuard protection when you perform the backup. It's not accept on the production environment.
Finally, my real questions come:
(1) what I do may not do on parameter change?
(2) I know I can re-create the control file to redo before delete and then recreate after. Is there any simple/fast to avoid the standby logfile lost or recreate the lost one?
I understand that there are a number of ways to circumvent this. Something to keep a copy of the log file waiting restoration progress and copy up one missing, etc, etc...
And yes I always have done no real-time applies "to the aid of archived logfile" but is also not accept mode of protection of production.
I just want proof that the design (which is displayed in a few oracle doc Doc ID 602299.1 is one of those) that backs up data backup works effectively and can be used to restore the two site. And it may be without spending more time to resume backups or put the load on the primary database to create the database before.
Your idea is very much appreciated.
Thank you!
Hello
1--> when I take via RMAN backup, RMAN does not redo log (ORL or SRL) file, so we cannot expect ORLs or SRL would be restored.
2nd--> when we opened the ORL database should be deleted and created
3rd--> Expecting, SRL should not be an issue.we should be able to do away with the fall.

If you do, you can recreate the controlfile without waiting for redo log entry...
If you still think it's something is not acceptable, you must have SR with support to analyze why he does not abandon SRL when controlfile_type is "underway".

Reg: Export data of the physical database system standby.
Hi all
We have a standard edition one 11 GR 1 material oracle environment, I need to export the data from the physical monitoring system.
If anyone can suggest me, how to do it safely (up state).
Kind regards
Konda.
Oracle Data Guard is available only as a feature of Oracle Database Enterprise Edition. It is not available with Oracle database Standard edition.
Then you must export data only from primary or you use EXP instead of EXPDP on the standby database. Because EXPDP create a temporary table export process duration.

Stop and start BECAUSE the database with standby
Hi all
Oracle 10.2.0
I am new to Oracle RAC.
Is there any order or the way I shlould follow when stopping or starting up a database cluster with database pending.
I don't know the format. Which is in a way even as single instance Oracle.
1 depress the standby database.
2 knock the lsnrctl to standby.
3 stop primary database.
4 depress the lsnrctl for primary education.
Please advice...
TIA,
Published by: ORCLDB on March 21, 2009 09:05Hello
First make sure that both nodes are running, usually clusterware returns automatically after the reboot, but you can handle manually to help. Also use cluvfy for validation test after the interview.
crsctl stop crs crsctl start crs srvctl start listener -n mynode1 srvctl start database -d db_name srvctl start service -d db_name crs_stat -t to verify which services are offline or online

Satellite P10 stopped mode standby automatically
My satellite P10 suddenly stopped go into sleep mode automatically; I can do it manually and put it in hibernation. I tried to perform a restore of the system several times, but he refuses to do. Suggestions (singles) for a novice in computer science?
I would recommend Hmm firstly check the parameters Toshiba energy saver.
The energy saver supports two different States: power sector and battery.
If you want to set the laptop on standby while the AC adapter is plugged into the laptop, you must change the settings of the power cable.There you have to click on the details and choose the Mode of standby power tab
Now you should find different controls. The standby control system should t be defined to never, but at another level.Play around with this tool

The Device Manager shows all devices OK?
Performed a restore the registry of oem disc & now put into hibernation very well at the moment, I hope that it will last? only lasted for a few days? its now to return again. ?
not a fan of the system restores, especially under xp, but if it did work at one point, what has changed on your system, since it worked?

This is for two versions below, then you should be good. But again this could be a temporary solution to a problem.

I would like to know if there is a way to prevent the application from Gadgets to auto-ajouter itself to HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run. I have the version Windows 7 RC build 7100.
My motivation is trying to reduce to a minimum the use of system resources when I am running on battery power. Selectively, I removed some programs from running at startup and added a new task in the Task Scheduler to run a script at startup that runs applications only if the current alternative. The only thing that I'm not able to set up this way is sidebar.exe (and I have a lot of heavy gadgets on the use of system resources) because it always adds itself to this automatic launch location every time I start it manually.Well, it seems I have to use taskkill after all. Or try to hack sidebar.exe to remove the (not sure if it's legal) procedure. Or prevent the modification of the registry key using a package of security software.
Thanks for looking into this. -
oratab database restart flag automatically changed back to N
Dear Experts,
I tried to change the flag of auto_database oratab to Y in node RAC 1, but it has automatically get back to N.
Can you please help me find out the reason for it. And how to activate this node RAC 1.
on node 1
187 srvctl stop instance -d orcl -i orcl1 188 srvctl status database -d orcl 189 srvctl start instance -d orcl -i orcl1
This leaves the instance to the stage of the ascent

When I changed all N to O.
It is automatically changed to N.
Thank you and best regards,

11.2 GI CRS updates automatically the oratab file.
See the support Document "Oratab - # line added by Agent (Doc ID 1397813.1)" and the various bugs that are mentioned in it.
If you rely on CRS to start the database instance (or using srvctl to manually put in power).

Hello

Stop the database with "stop immediately" and then he started through 'start-up' and we noticed that its takes a while. We had a glance on the alert log and it doesn't show much:

Edition of database repository for Oracle Grid Control
Can the repository database for Oracle Grid Control standard edition? Company limited license and cannot use enterprise edition for Oracle Grid Control. Please notify. Thank you very much!!
