EG1032 replaced my old network card, now I can't see my workgroup

Hi, someone helped me with a question WRT610n and it worked.  But now, I replaced my stock with an EG1032 network card and have the same type of error.  It has not changed the name of WORKING group and the other card has been disabled.

Any ideas?

Thank you.

Nevermind, I figured it.  Had to rename the workgroup devices (I used the WORK) to something else and then rename it to get it to cool down and be recognized by the card to hide.

  • Messed up graphics card, now I can't start windows. .

Messed up graphics card, now I can't start windows. said the plug to the/windows/system32/system address, or something like that, is missing or corrupted. said to run the installation disk, I don't have it. Needhelp, VERY VERY important files on my drive.

Installing ubuntu natty to edit files, but I would have my back configuration, all that. anyway to fix it?

NEVER begin to solve this problem with KB307545, and if you have no disk, you won't get a lot anyway.

I guarantee engineers from Microsoft technical support that I can recreate this problem to approximately, half break you in 1 minute your XP CD and then you put challenge to fix it without the help of KB307545.  It is unlikely that the manufacturer will send you an XP installation disc.

Looking at HP/Compaq, Dell and IBM just today, they say generally that they have stopped shipping XP CD in 2005 (6 years ago) and you can't order them on their website or through the support.  But sometimes you can get a part number and buy a CD to install XP from third-party suppliers to find research on the Internet.  Prices range from $49 to $ 200 USD.

Knowing this, maybe it's time to STOP suggesting how to contact the vendor for installation of XP Media?  It's a good 'out' when you don't know what to do, but this isn't a useful suggestion.

It could facilitate a resolution of the problem faster with less cycles message if you are trying to tell us you see the exact error message.

    Is this something like this:

Windows XP could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt: \WINDOWS\SYSTEM32\CONFIG\SYSTEM

If you want to use Ubuntu or something similar to copy your important files to a safe place, it is a good idea, but you should always be able to repair your XP system.

What you need to do is to make a bootable CD of XP (no XP media required) Recovery Console to run chkdsk /r on your system.  Here's how:

The question was preceded by a loss of power, aborted reboot or abnormal termination? (This includes the plug pulling, buttons power and removing the battery).

These can cause corruption in the file system that must be fixed before you do anything else.

If none of these events occurred (or even if they have not taken place), you must verify the integrity of your file system before anything else (especially "try" things).

There is zero logic to begin to try to begin to try to modify or copy files to a hard drive that has a corrupted file system, so this must first be fixed using the XP chkdsk program and run chkdsk on your hard drives may solve your problem completely.

Use the XP Recovery Console to check the file system on your HARD drive and fix the problems and then try to start your system - this may be all you need to do.  Or, you are welcome to just start trying things that might work.

Boot into the Recovery Console Windows using an XP bootable installation CD.

If you have no XP bootable media (or aren't sure you have) create a bootable XP Recovery CD of Console and do not forget.

This is not the same as recovery disks that might have come with the acquisition of the system store.

You can make a bootable Recovery Console CD by downloading an ISO file and burn it to a CD.

The ISO bootable image file you need to download is called:

    xp_rec_con. ISO

    Download the ISO from here:

    http://www.mediafire.com/?ueyyzfymmig

Use a new CD and this simple and free program to burn your ISO file and create your bootable CD:

    http://www.ImgBurn.com/

When you install ImgBurn, DO NOT install the Ask toolbar.

Here are some instructions for ImgBurn:

    http://Forum.ImgBurn.com/index.php?showtopic=61

It would be a good idea to test your bootable CD on a computer running.

You may need to adjust the computer BIOS settings to use the CD-ROM drive as the first device to boot instead of the hard drive.  These adjustments are made before Windows tries to load.  If you miss it, you will need to restart the system again.

When you start on the CD, follow the instructions:

Press any key to boot from CD...

    Installing Windows... going to pronounce.

Press 'R' to enter the Recovery Console.

Select the installation that you want to access (usually 1: C:\WINDOWS)

You may be asked to enter the password (usually empty).

You should be in the folder C:\WINDOWS.  It's the same as the

C:\Windows folder that you see in Solution Explorer.

The Recovery Console allows base as file commands: copy, rename, replace, delete, chkdsk, fixboot, fixmbr, cd, etc.

For a list of the commands in the Recovery Console, type help at the prompt of commands or read on here XP Recovery Console:

    http://www.Microsoft.com/resources/documentation/Windows/XP/all/proddocs/en-us/recovery_console_cmds.mspx?mfr=true

A good idea before you start things must first verify the integrity of your file system by using the chkdsk command.

In the command prompt window, run the chkdsk command on the drive where Windows is installed to try to fix any problems on the afflicted player.

Running chkdsk is fine, even if he finds no problem.  It won't hurt anything to run it.

Assuming your boot drive is C, run the following command:

    CHKDSK C: /r

Let chkdsk finish to correct the problems, he could find.

It may take a long time for chkdsk complete or they seem to be "stuck".  Be patient.  If the HARD drive led blinks always, chkdsk is something.  Keep an eye on the amount of the percentage to be sure that it is still making progress.  It may even seem to go back sometime.

You must run chkdsk/r again until it finds no error to correct.

Remove the CD, and then type "exit" to exit the RC and restart the computer.

You have not to set the BIOS to boot the disk HARD since the CD won't be.

I have xp s3. I had trouble with my main drive lately. Previously, I had my shot raw c drive and I can either logon in safe mode. I used checkdisk by my slave hard drive someone to another disk and it comes back with a few interface problems. Yet once the obtained c drive turned into raw and now I can't see file display options etc on my computer. I tried to use to start the system restore but not its use before and now. I have avira for antivirus and Registry Mechanic only. Is there a way I can fix my windows without formatting evrything?

    Hi Windflash,

I had a similar problem also and it turns out that the hard drive is dead. You can probably do is to connect the hard drive to a working another computer & use data recovery tools to recover files from it but usability will always be a question.

Data recovery is an another stressful job as for me it took 3 days to recover data to a 500 GB drive.

After which I tried to format it own it but has not as well so I poured the reader.

You can try my snack suggestions if your drive starts to work again I strictly recommend you to use it as a primary drive.

Let me know if it helps.

  • 9 VMware upgraded to bu 10 no network card now (host windows 7)

I removed 9 VMWare and then installs 10, but now I can't connect virtual network cards via the network Editor, - after having checked the connection and then apply the changes that nothing will happen. Virtual (about) unsaved changes, so not all adpaters not connect to the host.

On this I host insttalls before VirtualBox and have to remove 2 "unknown network adapters' but VBox works after reinstall, while VMWare is not.

I have quality solutions, but no luck yet. Here is someone who has solved the same problem?

all network issues resolved now, thanks anyone

I use ifcleanup.x64 for it and then deleted some unknown keys

    HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Class\ {4D36E972-E325-11CE-BFC1-08002BE10318}.

  • How to remove old network cards in XP guest upgrade?

I had difficulties to install VMware Tools and found with three (3)! unusable old AMD PCnet etc cards network after having put in the vmxnet driver 3.

XP will not let me delete these network adapters in the Device Manager, I've currently disabled them.

Guest XP rpet "failed to uninstall the device. The device may be required to start the computer.

How can I remove them? Can I remove the vmxnet and start all over again?

I need to know the right way to remove the old NIC because I have a lot of virtual machines to upgrade.

    Thank you, Tom

    Hello.

Remove the old network interface cards is usually done via the Device Manager.  From the command prompt, type the following:

    Set devmgr_show_nonpresent_devices = 1

    devmgmt.msc

When the Device Manager opens, select the view menu and choose "Show Hidden devices."

If you can not remove this way, you may need to enter in the registry.  Search HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Class the NIC name (as it appears in Device Manager).  The Characteristics field will probably have a value similar to 0 x 00000029 - change this value to 0 x 00000009 will be the NIC user removable.

As with all things related registry, have good backups and be careful.

    Good luck!

  • replacing my wireless network card (upgrade)

    Hi all

I have the Pavilion dv6-1210ew. I need to replace my wireless card, and I want to buy the new work on standard and 5 GHz N. Now I have broadcom b/g. is it possible to install this map on my computer? Some people told me that it is impossible. If it will be possible could you suggest me some type/model card?

    Thank you

    Kacper

It is indeed possible. The following image, there are four modules wireless who BIOS support and that are compatible with your laptop. The best candidate update for your laptop would be the Broadcom 4322 module WLAN 802.11 a/b/g/n.

Source reference: Pavilion dv6 Entertainment PC maintenance and service guide

Since your computer laptop is currently a B installed wireless module, you may also use a wireless module that corresponds to a configuration single antenna, unless your goal is to upgrade the wireless antenna as well. Do some research on the module that you are considering buying to make sure it will match this antenna installation in your laptop. There is also information on the laptop (some laptops) configurations in the interview guide & Service.

The modules can be purchased from HP or a supplier online. Use a Google search for comparison shopping.

  • Tried to download the latest version, but my computer does not support. While trying to install it replaced my old version and now have no firefox

For months its been my firefox browser is out of date, saying tour so, today, I finally managed to update but when trying to install it, it removed my old version and when I tried to install the new one it says it was not compatible. So now I have a version that does not work and if I remove I don't have Firefox at all. I stress because everything (100) my favorites where on the old version.

I tried and tried to find an older version, but either they are either not compatible or the file does not exist. I'm a bit of a technophobe so I know what else to try.
