  I have an Apire one laptop with Windows xp service pace 3. I had to restore it to factory about 3 years ago. I thought AVG was the problem, so I have unintalled then he returned and attempted to access the firewall but got the same message. I typed in Google MySapce and found this site. I followed a few directions given to others in the thread started by joecarpenter33 and discovered that my firewall has been deleted and Base filtering engine has been deleted also. I downloaded and ran Malwarebytes ANti-Malware and SUPERAntiSpyware Free Edition and tdsskiller. MBAM has found a Trojan. The results of the analysis is less to:

  Start the computer in safe mode with network and run a full scan of computer viruses.

• HP ENVY 17-j184nr: to upgrade my network card but do not know if it would be not compatible

  I just got a new router. My computers internet (WLAN) was beyond terrible. I had an old dual band of D-link router and got about 17Mbps with it and about 50 Mbps on cable. However this new routher will actually two different frequencies, while the other is just them merged into one.  With the new router, I was getting some 55-60 Mbps Wi - Fi AND wireless (on the b/g/n wireless card). However, the next morning, I only get like 2 Mbit/s or less, running the same wireless card. I think that may be because the wireless card is not compatible AC could be the reason. I was eager to upgrade the network card but was not sure if HP has always been whitelisting them with this model. Do you still think it would make a difference? I just got this computer it not too long ago with the HP care pack of replacement and it gives me nothing else than problems, do you also think that they would replace it again?

  No whitelist. I had a 17-j029nr HP lent me and he had no whitelist and yet yours is newer so 100% free whitelist.

  Please note that there are 2 for the second command ipconfig > characters.

  Make sure that you buy a box with the right interface. Your HARD drive is SATA HDD.

  If you can connect the laptop HDD s to every desktop or laptop as external HARD drive and you will have access to all stored data.

  The PA3362U 1MPC seems to be a network wireless Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG MiniPCI Type 3b card. I think it is s ok and should be compatible.

  The WLan driver should be found here:

  Take the Intel PRO/Wireless 2200/2915 driver.

  I put t know which wire is short or long, but the two sons are different in color.
  Should the white cable goes to the hand and Brown to the auxiliary voltage

  You should check if the other FN keys work correctly. If other n t FN keys work then Fn + F8 does not work too

  PS: you can activate the WLan also in Device Manager-> properties-> tab advanced Wlan card
