El capitan cannot move all windows to new desktop PC via mission control?

Before moving to El Capitan, I used to be able to move all open windows in any program given to a new office in total.

for example assume I have Stickies and Safari opened in the same space, I want to spend all my notes at the same time to a new office space and let Safari; I used to be able to slide just with 3 fingers to show all programs open in this space and click on Stickies icon and drag it to a new space. Now, I can just drag a single sticky both. Obviously, this is just one example, the same applies to any other program with multiple items open at once.

Am I missing something, or this option is simply gone?

Thank you

I have not tested but make sure that 'Windows group by application' are enabled in the settings of Mission control.

Try a forced reboot: hold down the House and on the buttons until the unit turns off. Ignore the cursor off if it appears. Once completed, if it does not start on it own, turn off power with the key On. In some cases, it also contributes to double click the Home button and close all applications before restarting.

This can happen if your file associations are broken.  Here's how to restore correct file associations.

    1. Press + R to display the run box, type RSTRUI and click OK.
    2. Choose a date when the computer was working properly, and then click on next to restore system files from that date.  The computer will restart with the fixed parameters.

Make sure that the device is compatible with Vista, the Vista Compatibility Center: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/compatibility/windows-vista/default.aspx.

If you need to get pilots to leave the computer dealer or the manufacturer of the device (NOT of Microsoft Updates).  In fact, you must disable automatic updates in Windows Update driver as follows: http://www.addictivetips.com/windows-tips/how-to-disable-automatic-driver-installation-in-windows-vista/. Follow these steps: http://pcsupport.about.com/od/driverssupport/ht/driverdlmfgr.htm.  Once you have the drivers, you can install them via the Manager device as follows: http://www.vistax64.com/tutorials/193584-device-manager-install-driver.html.  You need to find the NAS device and the NICs in particular - but it would not hurt to look at all the when you're there.

Go to start / Control Panel / Add Hardware and select the first option (recommended) to see if the system can detect the device.  If this does not work, choose the second and provide the information requested on the device.  You will be asked for drivers - have their practice.  Follow the prompts to install the device (NAS).  Make sure that it is plugged in and turned on when you do so, or he not be recognized.  It's the hard way of installing a hardware device, but your system obviously isn't automatically recognize it then do it manually. Here is a brief tutorial on how to do so: http://www.web-articles.info/e/a/title/Windows-Vista :-Running-the-Add-Hardware-Wizard /.

  • Two new Dells, either from Windows 7 cannot move to Windows 10

I put up two new computers to a small business, a mini Inspiron desktop PC tower with monitor Dell Ultra and an Inspiron notebook. Two computers provided with Windows 7 installed. After some discussion, we decided to upgrade to Windows 10 now (included, supposedly) in order to avoid a second learning curve for the crew later.

After spending 2 hours on my own (I'm Windows savvy) and three (3!) other hours online with Dell Technical Support, we were able to get 10 Windows to be installed on each machine. Here's what we tried:

    1. Read the instructions on the Dell support page. It is the desktop icons to upgrade to W10. No machine had the required icons and there is no other online instructions on what to do next.
    2. Tried the W10 disks included. It turns out that they are not bootable and not install anything.

Contacted Dell technical support. We did the following:

    1. Downloaded MSFT media creation tool. He ran, first on the laptop, then on the desk.
    2. Authoring tool of eventually spent by the installation procedure then announced "check updates". The authoring tool then hung the computer, do nothing else for hours.
    3. The same problem happened on the desktop.
    4. The helpful tech support guy was created at the end of its jurisdiction. He began to make suggestions like changing the BIOS (EUFI) before reinstalling rather than later.
    5. We rebooted desktop and it hung completely, saying: he could not find any media.

Etc etc etc. Finally, I finished the call of support and reset all default. Now I have Windows 7 running fine on both machines.

I've been buying Dells for over 25 years and I've never seen such a mess as the way in which these two machines were delivered about the OS. And the failure of technical support to solve the problem in 3 hours was crazy. We are certainly not the first to upgrade to W10.

I'm not sure that we will continue to try to upgrade, but just in case, can someone point me to a solution here?

    Thanks for reading.

    EdB

Thanks for your help, Jesse. We decided to stick with Windows 7; the upgrade process was simply too disruptive for a small company like ours. I appreciate your efforts, but this situation speaks very ill of Dell. Again, I've been buying Dells for clients and myself for over 25 years and I've never seen such nonsense with something as relatively simple as an upgrade of the OS. Hope that they fix it.

  • Cannot move the window after resizing

    From: bronzefree

Resize the Media Center window and inadvertently it moved off the screen.  I tried using the 'move' tab bar tasks, does not.  The multi-directional arrow appears, but can not grasp anything.  My 'reduced' Media Center window seems permanently blocked off-screen!

I can only use enlarged, which is of course not what I want to do.

When I "minimize", I see "stolen" to the left of the screen of the monitor.

Someone at - it suggestions?  I'm listening, and I appreciate it!  Thank you.
