  (New to this). I implemented 2 email addresses for my client, WebBasics + (including emails). They want to use Outlook 2010, but how do I specify that it is not pop imap? It seems that e-mail accounts are pop by default. My client sent the message:

  Just trying to get my head around this, is this a pop3 or IMAP as I can't edit to change the IMAP profile without creating a new Inbox.

  You don't need to specify it anywhere in the webmail or settings of BC.  You can use POP or IMAP protocols to retrieve your email using an email such as Outlook client.  In your Outlook just put to use IMAP instead of POP3 protocol.  If you want to make it more secure, configure it in Outlook to use SSL/TLS on Port 993.  Usually, if you have the site setup correctly then address webmail and IMAP/POP3 host name is mail.yoursite.com (where yoursite.com is your primary area of BC for your site.)

  If your customer is worried, just create a new account/profile in Outlook using IMAP instead of POP3, then when it is up and working, it can remove the old POP3 profile in Outlook.  Remove the profile should not delete any mail.

My mail server, web.com (which hosts my personal website), offers IMAP but does not offer SSL encryption for incoming e-mails or outgoing POP3 or IMAP. However, I would like to hear a few knowledgeable people about the significance which they really believe this kind of security is used for personal messaging, and how would they advised I change e-mail providers (and so hosting websites) in order to have e-mail SSL processing.   In my view any email provider offering is not SSL/TLS will soon be out of business. Already today there email providers who refuse to deliver a message to another provider's e-mail server, if the server doesn't support SSL/TLS.
  There is also a tendency to the SSL/TLS for the WWW, and we'll probably see almost 100% encryption at any given time.
  Without SSL/TLS whenever you connect to your e-mail password will be sent in clear text, as well as the messages sent and received. The revelations of Snowden in mind, you can decide for yourself if this is something that you want or not.

• iCloud do not let us create new e-mail account

  Emails from my son of 2 years have been deleted and we contacted our provider which is extracting their server. The man said that he should take up to 24 hours.   Try to go to iCloud.com to see if the elements are there and whether the device or the computer. That should indicate if the device or computer is not synchronizing. If the computer, try going to System Preferences/iCloud and stop synchronization. Wait a few minutes, then recheck the timing. If the device, go to settings/iCloud and do the foregoing.

• Do not IMAP to work on the Surface RT

  I can not IMAP to work with my RT of Surface. It is an account that works very well with Windows Phone 7.5 and Windows Live Mail on other computers. I can receive mail.   It is fixed. Control server requires SSL on outgoing mail server, has been the problem. It should be disabled with my ISP. :-)

  Turn off the power of optimized storage and copy the files to your Mac.

  For the 1st time, I decided to take a look at my photos online on icloud.com--> iCloud Photos from iCloud complained that my storage was almost full.

  I recently reinstalled Office 2016 on Windows 10. In fact, Microsoft did for me.  You uninstall it iCloud as part of this process.  I reinstalled iCloud, but are unable to sync with Outlook.  I connect to iCloud and check the box 'Contacts, calendar and tasks' and press on apply. All that happens is that iCloud Unchecks the box and grey to apply. If I repeat it, it do not uncheck the box, but apply is gray.  He did nothing. Outlook shows no signs of the existence of iCloud, other than the add-in, which is active.

  I repeated a bunch of times.  Twice iCloud does not seem to be trying a sync, but he hung up it making. I left on for 10 hours and it was still running.

  Any ideas?
