  some of my drivers are absent from these amounts; Module of high speed Mobile HP un2420 and an unknown driver, I tried to update but it always say u don't have the drivers.

  I'm sorry that you are unhappy.  Many of us have at least one computer for which there is no drivers Windows 10.

• EliteBook 2540p: optical drive is no longer recognized?

  My EliteBook 2540p with the built-in optical player is no longer able to be recognized by the operating system. It is listed in the Manager devices, but with an exclamation next to its icon. When open for more information, he told me this

  I have a hp elitebook 2540p with an i7 L640 intel SSD 160 GB corsair 8 GB of ram and windows 7 64-bit.

  I would like to upgrade to 10 64-bit windows, but I can't find compatible drivers. I tried to update but the touchpad was not recognized by windows, the tactile bar does not work well, and I have not found one driver other than the video card driver.

  I would like to know if there are drivers that are compatible with my laptop for Windows 64-bit 10.

  Officially, your computer does not support Windows 10 because it is an old model. Supported are only Windows XP, Vista and Windows 7.

  Windows 10 was created not even when Windows 10 has arrived.

  Although not officially supported, if you plan to install and test with Win 10, you can view the ID of the material missing material and someone might be able to find some for you (but no guarantee). Instructions > > http://www.wikihow.com/Find-Hardware-ID

  Personally, I would recommend that you take advantage of this computer with Windows 7. You have a wonderful notebook with excellent hardware configuration and nice operating system that will be supported by 2020. Something that usually works fixing it breaks

  Claudio my name is and I am looking for someone who could help me how do to install Windows Xp on my Elitebook 2540p because that whenever I try to make my pc starts to load my DVD but after a few minutes, it appears a blue screen that said installation is arrested.

  I want to install Xp on my pc and after trying to install Windows 7 as second operating system.

  Y does it can someone help me figure out how to do? And what is this blue screen that appears?

  You could not even install XP in IDE mode?  Wow.  One can almost always install XP with the speed setting in the BIOS IDE value.

  If you can get your hands on a USB floppy drive, I compressed upwards and tied the SATA AHCI drivers, you need to put on a floppy disk and you choose exactly one you need by pressing the F6 key when prompted.

  Proceed as follows with the BIOS set to AHCI mode.

  The problem is... I don't know the driver that you select in the list.

  It is certainly one of those three, so try all of them - and I think it's one of the first two.

  Intel (r) 5 Series/3400 Series SATA AHCI Controller

  In any case, download, unzip and copy the files that I have attached without all the files on a floppy drive.

  When you get to the part where XP asks if you need to install a sata raid driver, press F6 and finally the installation will continue.

  At some point, it stops and you follow the instructions to load your diskette sata driver.

  You must use the up/down arrow keys to scroll to and select the correct driver - either upwards or downwards arrow because the driver you need is perhaps not immediately visible on the screen.

  HPBR of type "and then press ENTER.

  First thing is to save your settings.

  Select 3 # re-program.

  Press "S" to save the system information.

  Type HPBR and press ENTER.

  Given that your model is not listed, select "SHOTGUN".

  After the reboot, repeat 'SHOTGUN' a second time.

I have a couple of HP EliteBook 2540p with I-7, 2.18 GHz, 4.00 GB, 1.8 "320 SATA11 supported small volts system that takes only a HD SATA11 1.8 (unless I have remove the dvd) and want to upgrade to 120 GB (or more) SSD... You know what I'm looking for... HP show two different drives... One for low voltage 25 (mine) and one for the std 35 volt... I don't want to pay the price for HP and need to know what to look for when I buy an SSD... Most SSD on e - bay to see the they will work with any computer 1.8 "laptop HP, but before ordering that I need to know for sure... If you did this conversion, I'd like to hear from you... The 1.8 "jumps in and out easily is the question... Only if the HD is different...

  I have already installed windows xp sp3, I found the correct controller for this laptop: Intel (r) PCHM SATA AHCI CONTROLLER 6 PORT. Hardware updates a reboot of the pc, the bios settings changed to ahci and it works

• Satellite A30 - ACPI driver missing

  I have an old A30 that I just installed Win7 on. Everything is fine apart from a missing driver - unknown device ACPI

  In Device manager the hardware ID is ACPI\CMP0101

  Now this laptop fan lights not bad and she has a random problem to close without reason. I checked the fans and they are clear. In my view, that stops can be connected to this driver missing because it can control the temp/fans that stop it overheating, and then I could be wrong...

  Are you sure that you want to use Windows 7 on this computer laptop oldie? In my opinion, you should be happy with a preinstalled OS to Toshiba. There are all the drivers and tools pre-installed and you don t have the stress with the driver installation. You can have fun with your laptop :)
