em12cr3 showing on the eve of the database problems

Oracle Enterprise Manager 12.1.0.3

Oracle RDBMS 11.2.0.4

I recently installed this very with a CMS and database repository on a server.

I added a cluster that has the database open as well as a database of pending which is in Mount that we do not use Active Data Guard.

To use EM with a vigil in the mount, the connection must be an account with SYSDBA.   On the eve of one indicates the Type

Cluster - physical Standby database.  It appears, however, with a Collection error metric for its database system, and I don't see why.

I moved add another cluster that also has opened with two STANDBYS in mount databases.

These guys, shows to monitor the credentials as dbsnmp and won't let me change it to SYS - this column is grayed out.

It did not work in 12.1.0.2 without problem, I'm just limited on the standby located in Mont - I agree with that.

I tried to drop and add because sometimes works with EM.

I tried emcli, as follows:

emcli get_targets | grep tecmop

0 oracle_database tecmop_tecmop1

0 oracle_database tecmop_tecmop2

2 tecmop_sys of metric oracle_dbsys collective

2 metric rac_database tecmop community

$ emcli set_monitoring_credential-target_name = "tecmop'-'rac_database' = target_type - set_name ="DBCreds"- cred_type ="DBCreds"- attributes = 'DBUserName:sys; DBRole:sysdba; DBPassword:mypswd ".

Follow-up of the credential set successfully.

This no longer works.

I opened a SR but have not had a response yet (it was a few hours).  Maybe someone here has an idea to try?

After all this...  Here is the ANSWER.

When standby is added to the EM, its composition is moved under the primary database system and database backup system is put in blackout.

The backup of database system is not necessary and must be deleted manually.  The GUI returns an error, then emcli:

emcli delete_target-name = "trptwp_sys" - type = "oracle_dbsys".

should be used to remove it.

It is a "expected behavior", although I'm not sure that it should! Not me because this happened to 12.1.0.2.

In any case, I hope that manually delete the backup of database systems are in agreement and they are not necessary for what.

  • After changing the port (1521 to 1525 in listener.ora and tnsnames.ora) OEM: the database is down

    Hello

    I'm installing Oracle Database 11 g 2 (11.2.0.4) on Oracle Linux 7.1.

    In short, what I'm trying to do now is changing the default port of 1521 to 1525.

    So I stopped the listener (lsnrctl stop) and then changed my listener.ora and tnsnames.ora:

    Listener.ora

    listener.ora # Network Configuration file: /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/network/admin/listener.ora

    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

    LISTENER =

    (DESCRIPTION_LIST =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = CIP)(KEY = EXTPROC1521))

    )

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP (PORT = 1525))(HOST = localhost))

    )

    )

    ADR_BASE_LISTENER = / u01/app/oracle

    tnsnames.ora

    tnsnames.ora # Network Configuration file: /u01/app/oracle/product/11.2.0/dbhome_1/network/admin/tnsnames.ora

    # Generated by Oracle configuration tools.

    BI =

    (DESCRIPTION =

    (ADDRESS_LIST =

    (ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP (PORT = 1525))(HOST = localhost))

    )

    (CONNECT_DATA =

    (SERVER = DEDICATED)

    (SERVICE_NAME = bi)

    )

    )

    And then changed the local_listener:

    SQL > ALTER SYSTEM SET LOCAL_LISTENER = "(ADDRESS = (PROTOCOL = TCP)(HOST=localhost) (PORT = 1525))";

    SQL > ALTER the REGISTRY SYSTEM;

    Finally, I started the listener (lsnrctl start) again.

    Then I tried to connect using Oracle SQL Developer to the customer. The port of 1525 works perfectly well.

    The problem is, when I open the OEM (Oracle Enterprise Manager), it says: "the database is down. Please specify the credentials of the host to access the restart and database diagnostic tools," which is like this: http://imgur.com/oKLPW65

    So I logged on the account of the host, and it shows that the database instance, listener and the agent is all down like this: http://imgur.com/Bzr84bz

    It seems that the port used by the OEM is always 1521.

    What should I do? Can someone help me solve the problem?

    Thanks in advance.

    UPDATE:

    After changing the emoms.properties & the targets.xml (thanks to Elisabeth), you will need to reconfigure dbconsole using emca.

    So what I'm doing is decreasing the config:

    $ emca - deconfig dbcontrol db-rest drop

    and then create again:

    $ emca - create config dbcontrol db-rest

    Voila.

    Best regards

    Hello

    Try to change the port numbers in the following files

    Don't port no 1521 to 1525

    $ORACLE_HOME /_SID/sysman/config/emoms.properties

    oracle.sysman.eml.mntr.emdRepPort = 1525 (before 1521)

    $ORACLE_HOME /_SID/sysman/emd/targets.xml

    (Before 1521)

    (Before 1521)

  • EM12C - add repoitory database as the target of the database

    Hi all

    My apologies if this sounds like a stupid question.

    I just installed EM12C SGD and database repository on the same server (Linux x86_64). The installation is successful and I can access the control of cloud and see targets preconfigured (from the same host).

    However, I am not able to add the database reporitory as the target of the database. Should it? I remember in the 10g grid control, I was able to configure the database reporitory as a target database.

    12 c, I tried "Add manually targets" or "auto-discovery", but none of them show either the database repository or ist listener as target.

    Thanks in advance.

    p.s. I added also successfully 12 c as part of the installation of EM12c agent and the agent is running correctly on the host computer.

    You can use emcli add_target

  • Temporarily disable sending on the eve of the database of newspapers

    All,

    I have 3 node RAC primary database and RAC 3 node backup database.
    Oracle version is 10.2.0.4.0 on Sun Solaris.
    We use pending through LGWR log shipping, database and auto is in maximum performance mode.

    We plan to run critical processes of a lot which is strongly oriented as CPU consumption of resources and memory consumption. It runs for 10 hours with set of stored procedures.

    To provide resources to this process of batch processing, front-end applications will be stop (completely time to users).

    Question 1_

    It is recommended to stop log shipping on the eve of the database during batch processing. Once the batch is finished, activate standby mode.

    I'm new to this environment before. I went through the documentation and I've identified the steps below to perform the above task.

    "" 1) before the batch, run the following command in primary education - alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2 = reporter scope = the two sid = ' * '; This will temporarily stop log shipping on the eve of the database.
    (2) run the lots for 10 hours. Depending on the size of FRA available are the rates of production of the journal, we have enough space to resist the newspapers for 3 days.
    "" (3) when the batch is finished, I will exercise the command at primary level - below alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2 = enable scope = both sid = ' * ';

    After step 3, I guess that all arrears of logs in the meantime to primaries will be transferred automatically at startup of the database and applied.

    My above assumption is correct and did, I missed milestones.

    Question 2_

    Before the batch, we'll take hot full backup with RMAN.
    If something goes wrong with a batch, we plan to restore and reset the logs. Here, no recovery is necessary. This approach is very good. any other better solution.

    My questions can be very basic, since I don't have custody of data set up in sleep mode, I'm not able to test it. I need your help when reviewing above steps and suggestions / corrections.

    I guess it's safer if you also include a step 1.1, which continues the redo apply processes. "alter database recover managed standby database cancel;

    If all archive logs are on the primary server, as soon as you raise the environment (activate the log_archive_dest and start posting), your stand will ask for the records it needs.

    After a long period without applying redo, you also have the option to use a backup incremental rman to 'transfer' the day before [RMAN incremental backup to roll forward using a Physical Standby Database | http://download.oracle.com/docs/cd/B19306_01/server.102/b14239/scenarios.htm#CIHIAADC]

    If I were you, in the event of an error, I'd just use database flashback instead of open primary with resetlogs. • Doubts on the eve of the database

    Hi all

    I have some doubts in Oracle Standby database configuration and redo and log transfer apply.

    I read the document below.
    Oracle® data protection Concepts and Administration

    Now my doubts are *(in Physical standby database with Maximum performance mode) *.

    1. when the configuration of the standby database we create redologs pending in the database primary, is Eve redologs are used only when the role transition is happening or for any other purpose?

    2. archivelogs are shipped from primary to standby and the archivelogs are applied to the standby database by performing the normal resumption of media. Now, how and when the data is written to the standby database redologfiles, so that when we allow real time apply it using the redologfile waiting for database to apply the data without delay?

    3. (if the latter is true) in the standby database it will generate the Archivelogfiles to redo applied, apart from the primary archivelogs transferred?

    Please advice...

    TIA,

    Right, so the day before DB is updated, i.e. There is no space archive.

  • Is there a way I can show only new contacts to the database after a contact download?

    I downloaded a set of contacts, and I was wondering if there is a way to display, segment, filter on contacts only recently added to the database contact Eloqua?

    Thank you very much

    If you add to a Contact Group at the time of the download, you can run a filter to check:

    (1) membership in the contact group

    (2) created contact date

    The number of new registrations added as indicated in the email confirmation of shipment or download history to confirm the number reported (and visible) through your filter. I hope that helps!

    When I change the value, I get the error below. It's maybe because the value is taken from a dynamic action?

    Yes. That would mean there isn't an item "view only". The value is changed by the browser.

    You might change view as textitem and set read-only by adding the ReadOnly attribute to the property attributes of HTML form elements .

  • Backup of the database of the eve

    I backup my primary database (11.2.0.3) every night with RMAN - no problem. I also have a database of pending. Should I be back up the standby database too?

    If I should be back up, it causes a problem, save the database in the RMAN catalog? Even if the db_unique_name is different, it always has the same DBID.

    Thank you

    Hello

    the backup database is an identical copy of the primary database block.
    Therefore, simply to save one of the two (you can choose to only save the day before, however, if you want to load on the primary leigthen). But if you are uncomfortable with the primary backup, it is not necessary for the safeguarding of the day before. (Since you can recreate the primary backup before).

    The only important part, is that you use the RMAN catalog. Then only known RMAN, the two are identical and can use the same backup.

    So:
    a.) primary backup is enough
    (b) If you save both, there will be no problem in the RMAN catalog, because RMAN knows that it is the same database.

  • difference between the eve of the database and primary database

    can someone tell me the difference between the database and the database of relief in simple layman's language...

    Thanks in advance

    The primary database is the active production database.
    STANDBY database is a database backup (or read-only).
    Basically, the database pending is in power of the primary database (mechanism depends on the type of sleep) where users are connected to.

  • Waiting for redo log file missing when restore main database using RMAN backup that was taken on the database physical standby

    Here's my question after tons of research and test without have the right solutions.

    Target:

    (1) I have a 12.1.0.2 database unique main enterprise 'testdb' as database instance running on the server "node1".

    (2) I created physical standby database "stbydb" on the server "node2".

    (3) DataGuard running on the mode of MaxAvailability (SYNC) with roll forward in real time 12 default c apply.

    (4) primary database has 3 groups of one-man redo. (/oraredo/testdb/redo01.log redo02.log redo03.log)

    (5) I've created 4 standby redo logfiles (/oraredo/testdb/stby01.log stby02.log stby03.log stby04.log)

    (6) I do RMAN backup (database and archivelog) on the site of relief only.

    (7) I want to use this backup for full restore of the database on the primary database.

    He is a DR test to simulate the scenario that has lost every primary & Eve total servers.

    Here is how to save, on the database pending:

    (1) performance 'alter database recover managed standby database Cancel' to ensure that compatible data files

    (2) RMAN > backup database;

    (3) RMAN > backup archivelog all;

    I got elements of backup and copied to primary db Server something like:

    /Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_nnndf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq099p_.BKP (data files)

    /Home/Oracle/backupset/o1_mf_annnn_TAG20151002T133357_c0xq15xf_.BKP (archivelogs)

    So here's how to restore, on the main site:

    I clean all the files (data files, controlfiles oder all gone).

    (1) restore spfile from pfile

    RMAN > startup nomount

    RMAN > restore spfile from pfile ' / home/oracle/pfile.txt' to ' / home/oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.bkp';

    (2) modify pfile to convert to db primary content. pFile shows below

    *.audit_file_dest='/opt/Oracle/DB/admin/testdb/adump '

    * .audit_trail = "db".

    * full = '12.1.0.2.0'

    * .fal_server = "stbydb".

    * .log_archive_config = 'dg_config = (testdb, stbydb)'

    * .log_archive_dest_2 = "service = stbydb SYNC valid_for = (ONLINE_LOGFILE, PRIMARY_ROLE) db_unique_name = stbydb'"

    * .log_archive_dest_state_2 = 'ENABLE '.

    *.log_file_name_convert='/testdb/','/testdb /'

    * .memory_target = 1800 m

    * .open_cursors = 300

    * runoff = 300

    * .remote_login_passwordfile = "EXCLUSIVE."

    * .standby_file_management = "AUTO".

    * .undo_tablespace = "UNDOTBS1.

    (3) restart db with updated file pfile

    SQLPLUS > create spfile from pfile='/home/oracle/pfile.txt'

    SQLPLUS > the judgment

    SQLPLUS > startup nomount

    (4) restore controlfile

    RMAN > restore primary controlfile to ' / home/oracle/backupset/o1_mf_ncsnf_TAG20151002T133329_c0xq0sgz_.bkp';

    RMAN > change the editing of the database

    (5) all elements of backup catalog

    RMAN > catalog starts by ' / home/oracle/backupset / '.

    (6) restore and recover the database

    RMAN > restore database;

    RMAN > recover database until the SNA XXXXXX; (this YVERT is the maximum in archivelog backups that extends beyond the scn of the backup of the data file)

    (7) open resetlogs

    RMAN > alter database open resetlogs;

    Everything seems perfect, except one of the file log roll forward pending is not generated

    SQL > select * from v$ standby_log;

    ERROR:

    ORA-00308: cannot open archived log ' / oraredo/testdb/stby01.log'

    ORA-27037: unable to get file status

    Linux-x86_64 error: 2: no such file or directory

    Additional information: 3

    no selected line

    I intended to use the same backup to restore primary basic & helps record traffic and the downtime between them in the world of real output.

    So I have exactly the same steps (except STANDBY restore CONTROLFILE and not recover after database restore) to restore the database pending.

    And I got the same missing log file.

    The problem is:

    (1) complete alert.log filled with this error, not the concern here

    (2) now repeat it in real time apply won't work since the Party shall LGWR shows always "WAITING_FOR_LOG."

    (3) I can't delete and re-create this log file

    Then I tried several and found:

    The missing standby logfile was still 'ACTIVE' at present RMAN backup was made.

    For example, on db standby, under Group #4 (stby01.log) would be lost after the restoration.

    SQL > select GROUP #, SEQUENCE #, USE (s), the STATUS from v$ standby_log;

    GROUP # SEQUENCE # USED STATUS

    ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------

    4 19 ACTIVE 133632

    5 0 0 UNASSIGNED

    6 0 0 not ASSIGNED

    7 0 0 UNASSIGNED

    So until I take the backup, I tried on the primary database:

    SQL > alter system set log_archive_dest_state_2 = delay;

    This was the Group of standby_log side Eve #4 was released:

    SQL > select GROUP #, SEQUENCE #, USE (s), the STATUS from v$ standby_log;

    GROUP # SEQUENCE # USED STATUS

    ---------- ---------- ---------- ----------

    4 0 0 UNASSIGNED

    5 0 0 UNASSIGNED

    6 0 0 not ASSIGNED

    7 0 0 UNASSIGNED

    Then, the backup has been restored correctly without missing standby logfile.

    However, to change this primary database means break DataGuard protection when you perform the backup. It's not accept on the production environment.

    Finally, my real questions come:

    (1) what I do may not do on parameter change?

    (2) I know I can re-create the control file to redo before delete and then recreate after. Is there any simple/fast to avoid the standby logfile lost or recreate the lost one?

    I understand that there are a number of ways to circumvent this. Something to keep a copy of the log file waiting restoration progress and copy up one missing, etc, etc...

    And yes I always have done no real-time applies "to the aid of archived logfile" but is also not accept mode of protection of production.

    I just want proof that the design (which is displayed in a few oracle doc Doc ID 602299.1 is one of those) that backs up data backup works effectively and can be used to restore the two site. And it may be without spending more time to resume backups or put the load on the primary database to create the database before.

    Your idea is very much appreciated.

    Thank you!

    Hello

    1--> when I take via RMAN backup, RMAN does not redo log (ORL or SRL) file, so we cannot expect ORLs or SRL would be restored.

    2nd--> when we opened the ORL database should be deleted and created

    3rd--> Expecting, SRL should not be an issue.we should be able to do away with the fall.

    If you do, you can recreate the controlfile without waiting for redo log entry...

    If you still think it's something is not acceptable, you must have SR with support to analyze why he does not abandon SRL when controlfile_type is "underway".

    Thank you
