is there a method I can use to get a recorded message with the date on which it was sent?

I do not know.  This forum is not for questions of Hotmail.  You have to ask here: www.windowslivehelp.com in Hotmail forum.

  • How to save Email saved in a folder on the hard disk

I recently installed Thunderbird on my computer in the hope of being able to transfer Gmail emails saved in a folder on my hard drive. I used to be able to do this directly in Outlook by multiple email selection, right click "send as attachment" to myself, then download them and recording them all in a regulatory filing.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

IF I try to open the old emails saved in different folders, it pops up a message "sorry, there is a problem with Hotmail right now. It should be fixed soon, so please try again in a few minutes. To learn more about this problem, see more details.  The problem for the past two days. I can send and receive new e-mail messages and can also open to them, but not those recorded previously. I tried to reduce the size of the account by emptying several emails, because I was warned by Hotmail to the increasing size of my mailbox storage.

  • How can I open the emails saved as Firefox html documents

I saved a few emails from my hotmail account. They appear in the right folder like Firefox HTM documents. Now I can not open them.
Clicking on taking me to a distorted hotmail page.

Saved web pages may contain the code that links from the server. You have Microsoft Word? You can try to open the message in Word to see if it allows you to access the content of e-mail messages. (Word has knowledge of HTML but don't run scripts).

In the future, perhaps a more reliable way to save messages is to print to PDF. There are a number of free print-to-PDF programs for Windows, you can use if you want to spring for Acrobat.

  • Smartphones blackBerry how to remove an email 'saved' from your torch? (I'm constantly four new messages on the phone all the time and can't get rid of them!)

    Hi all

I am somewhat a dufus and a few minutes ago has managed to highlight four emails (that I had intended to remove a small group), but managed to click on the "SAVE MESSAGE" by mistake. (Touch screens, bloody!)

It has a small window saying "BACKUP MESSAGES", and since then, even if later I deleted the four emails, have a permanent icon red STAR on two of my email accounts, which indicates that there is a session of NEW MESSAGES waiting to be read - but are not everything.

Also - at the top of the screen on the home page of the torch, in the same vein where the SOUNDS and the GLASS GROSSISSANT icon, I constantly for the symbol for 4 EMAILS sitting there, which usually only appears when there are actually four new e-mails waiting to be read. When I actually select the email icon, it only shows nothing - it's because there is NO NEW MESSAGES!

Jeezzz... It was like him for 20 minutes, but he's really starting to annoy me! I did a power of battery pull reset hoping that it would open up when it re-initialized - but he didn't. The * beep * things me are still there watching. It seems that I have now deleted these four emails I've "saved", that I now can't access it to "possibly" the.

Oh, and I do not use Exchange or something like that. I just got a bog standard torch, which simply reads a number of my POP email accounts Therefore, they are not saved on a Server Anywhere, as they were (at least 2 days) old emails that were downloaded on my computer for a long time and are no longer sitting on a server anyway - so God only knows where they have in fact been saved to.

    Help!

HM.  Good, I don't save my messages, but let's try it.

Open a folder of messages, press the BB menu button and select view folders.  There must be a folder for saved messages available.

  • How can I transfer emails saved?

I have a Windows Vista-based computer and you just bought a Windows 7 computer. I have a few hundred emails more addresses I want to transfer to the new computer and just read through the 41 pages of questions / answers, none helped. How can I do this? I have "save under" a couple of emails to a folder in My Documents, I created, but I can't save an entire folder. Is this possible, or what should I do? Unfortunately, I am not very "computing."

If you are using Windows Mail, the email client integrated in Vista, you should be able to transfer all your messages and contacts in Windows Live Mail on the new computer. Copy the contents of these folders in Vista in the exact same on the W7 machine:

    C:\Users\{user}\Contacts

    Mail C:\Users\{User}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Windows

Note that {user} is your Windows user name, which is not necessarily the same on both machines.

If you do this before you install Windows Live Mail, the installer will probably find the files and they migrate to the new program, then wait to see if this happens. Otherwise, use file > import messages (Alt - F I) to import from Windows Mail. For contacts, switch to the contacts window (Ctrl-3 or click the address book at the foot of the folders pane) and use the import button to import the address book for the current Windows user.

  • I saved a few emails hotmail as pages in Firefox and now cannot open them - how can I do this?

I tried everything suggested on your bulletin board but can not open these emails (saved pages). All data seems to be there, but the pages won't just reconfigure.

Right click on the html file, and then select open in Firefox. However, if it is a dynamic page you would use a staging server on your local computer to open interactive web pages.

Depending on the format of the mail file you can open it in the default Word Pad as well.

  • Emails are saved on MacBook Pro?

I deleted emails on my MacBook Pro and need to get them back if possible. Emails have also been removed from my Qwest server as well.

I know that attachments are saved in the library > Mail downloads.

Are copies of emails saved somewhere on my computer even though I deleted them from the box to letters in the mail? Or are they gone for good?

    Thank you

No they are not unfortunately - they may be on a time Machine up if you who have in place

Also remove the servers IMAP mails synchronized with devices that's why you don't find it on the server

Now I want to delete some of them but can't find a way to do it.
When I opened the using Thunderbird it doesn't seem to be a delete file option.
Windows Exploere does not have a 'Clear' option when I select the file.
I can copy a file from one place to another, but cannot move.

    Greetings Toad Hall,
Thanks for the info not being able to delete if registered Thunderbird outdoors.

Your suggestion to create a folder on the desktop and then by moving the files in the folder on the desktop does not work as I can not move the files, copy them only. I played a little after having received your help and found that I could move a complete file on the desktop, and then delete individual files from there.

The method I found to delete the emails saved in a folder outside of Thunderbird is as follows:
    (1) move the folder containing the e-mail on the desktop.
    (2) open the folder on the desktop.
    (3) select the files to delete.
    (4) delete the selected files.
    (5) to bring the file on the place that deserves it.

    Thanks for the help.

  • Links in some emails gives error messages.

With the help of AOL Mail under Firefox I get errors indicating that the site has a broken link. This only happens on Ebay emails saved searches and some of PCH. They open correctly when you use Mail under AOL. This just started happening. I use Firefox for some time as my main browser. I like the speed.

On the PCH emails, it indicates that the link is broken and will take you to the home page. EBay emails on the items listed, it shows that the list is closed or does not exist. These emails normally open on AOL mail. I use Firefox almost exclusively.
