Satellite L300 hangs on display slash MS Corp with AC adapter

I have studied this problem and it seems that others have been known to have similar problems:

http://en.kioskea.NET/forum/affich-118428-Toshiba-laptop-doesn-t-start-up-black-screen

However, the solution in this link does not work for me and I can't be sure that the quoted post is the same problem.

So here are the symptoms: when the power adapter plugged in, hangs up the laptop on the screen of slash MS Corp. at the start. The logo is distorted and some glitchy colorful patterns will appear on the screen and basically it will freeze in this State. Sometimes, it recharges cyclically.

However, when the power adapter is * not * connected, I can move forward in my Vista desktop. This isn't an acceptable solution - the battery life is limited and so I need power point computer access most of the time for long sessions.

At the time wherever I have to plug my power adapter, the Bureau will crash or freeze or try a futile restart automatically.

I tried to restore the computer to factory State - no luck.

I need your help. Is this a hardware or a software problem? What is your proposed solution?

It s really strange question. To be honest I never heard of something like that.
Either laptop starts or not but fact OS start depends on the power supply is not known to me.

I m afraid how to fix it is quite limited for you, especially if the same thing happen with the settings.
What you can try is updated the BIOS, but I'm not sure this will help you.

Are you using the original AC adapter that you got with your laptop?
Since when you noticed this problem?

I mean, have you done something that may be responsible for this.
Description of the problem is understandable for us, but there is no other info how it worked in the past, did you do something with it, you do not use non - Toshiba AC adapter.

The whole is somewhat strange.

  • Re: Satellite L300 - is there a possibility to connect with TV?

    Hello.
I want to apologize for my English. It is not my mother tongue.
When I bought my laptop, I didn't think the connection of it with TV. And that is why I do not pay attention to the lack of HDMI or DVI connectors on my laptop. Maybe someone knows if there is a possibility of connection to the TV. The laptop has only the VGA connector (to connect and an external monitor), microphone, USB connector and Express card slot. My TV (Toshiba AV500PR) has no VGA connector. AR the least VGA connector on it has a description it's a service connector.
But the main problem is sound. The output signal can be get from microphone connector.

I hope that someone has already solved this kind of problem.
    Thanks in advance.
    Alexey

I agree with sanremo. You should buy a VGA adapter cinch set a local computer retailer. Then, you can connect your laptop to the TV.

I have a Satellite L300 too and the VGA adapter cinch set works perfectly.

  • Satellite L300 - do not display some or even a part of web page

A new laptop 2 days ago will not display some web pages (or sometimes a part of) even if a second machine to apparently the same specification (family Vista premium with IE8 on the same connection has no problem)

A particular example is the http://www.java.com/en page where the machine in question opens the Java in action and the Help Center pages but not the downloads page. When you click on the link, the link from the State to the bootom of the screen seems to show this loading, but nothing appears

    Is there something obvious please?

    Hello

This only happens on the web pages where you need Java?
If so I can recommend to update the Java version. On my Satellite A300 with Vista, I got a problem that the browser crashes on websites with Java. I've updated the Java software and since their all works well.

In addition, you should try it with a different Internet browser, Firefox for example. This browser is faster than IE8 and there is a lot of useful modules available.

  • Satellite L300-12 b - display turns drak randomly and past sleep

    Good evening

as you can already see in the title, I have a problem with my L300 was sleeping with sleep mode. I've never had a problem like that before (bought the laptop in 2008), but today it suddenly appeared.

First time, it happened a few minutes after starting. I have nothing, then the laptop was immediately and suddenly the screen turned dark for a few seconds - dark, not black! - but it does not go to sleep then.
Then, all this happened about 8 hours later while I was typing in Word. The done screen dark a few times in a row, then he decided to go to standby mode. I came back without a problem, everything worked well then for about an hour; then I started typing in the Pidgin and Firefox and suddenly got the error described all the time. I can't even tape this now on my Toshiba because it goes to sleep every few seconds when I type.

I can't even imagine what that could be, if anyone can please help? :(

    ROXY

    Hi RoxyShay,

You can start Windows in safe mode? If Yes, try this and check what happens if the laptop turns off or something else, because in safe standby mode is not possible, and it would be interesting to know what is happening.

To be honest it of not easy to say why this happens, but theoretically it could also be a virus actually you have an antivirus like AntiVir? If so, run a scan anti-virus in SafeMode.

In addition, it would be interesting to know what operating system you have exactly. For the moment I could imagine it s both: hardware or software malfunction, but if you run a recovery facility, you can determine if she s material associated with or not.

  • Satellite L40: Can I remove battery while working with AC adapter

Could someone tell me what I need to do?

I use laptop mainly on the sector and someone told me to get out batt.
    Is it true

    see you soon
    Doug

    Greetings
It is generally recommended when a laptop is used mainly on the sector that the battery is removed. Excessive load is not too good for the battery. I know that there are intelligent load circuits with modern laptops, but I am a bit of a Luddite in this matter and do not trust them completely.
Of course, it is important that you remember then replace the battery when portability is necessary...

  • [SOLVED] Satellite L300 wireless dead, suddenly stop, then won't power ON

Well, actually, that this post is NOT a question that I already found the solution, but it took me much time searching through forums (and in fact I had not found response), so I decided to post it here to help someone in the same situation later.

Ok.. I'm all new Satellite L300 laptop a week ago, which runs under WinXP SP2. First five days, everything was OK, but then I confronted the following symptoms:

-Material Wi - fi could disappear suddenly. After the restart, winXP found the map of wireless as a new device, but could not accept pilots (who has worked on OK again a few hours before).
-Notebook could stop 'tough' at any time and it is not in the CPU load. After that I could not turn on again than by pressing the power button only turned on CPU cooler. I had to wait for at least 30 min power turn on the laptop again.

So, I started to search the forums, and as a result, I was sure the reason was overheating of the CPU to 115.337%. It was strange for me that I could not find similar reports for satellite L300 on the web and even all dust cpu overheating reports for other models Toshiba II found - they all have been written on popular laptops, but I got mine just a week ago.

Since I didn't bring my laptop to the local service center and leave it there for a long time - I decided to locate the problem myself as much as I can and I finally found the reason:

    * He was one of the two Samsung modules of 1 GB of RAM installed in notebook.*

As I removed a suspect (2nd) - all symptoms have disappeared. As I removed another installed back suspicious as 1st - I even haven't been able to turn on the laptop. So, I deleted completely suspicious module and now I had no problem with laptop computers running more than 2 days (except the performance decreased due to the loss of memory of 50%).

Hope this is helpful to someone who has a similar problem whose symptoms may resemble the overheating of the CPU.

Really great job and a very nice display!

I have a Satellite L300 too but never had any problems with it. I'll put this in my favorites because it s very useful for people who have this problem.

  • Satellite L300-229 - new module of memory is not recognized

Satellite L300-229 - I just installed an extension of memory of 1 GB to add to the existing 1 GB.

I used a 1 GB Crucial 200pin DDR2 SODIMM PC2 6400 CL6. For some reason, it will not recognize it and shows again that the 1 GB. I closed and installed in start mode according to manual and tried to reinstall.

    Any idea?

    Thank you

    Hello

What happens if you only install the new module 1 GB RAM? Don't start the computer and if so how much RAM does show?

Normally, the specifications of the new RAM module should work. I have a Satellite L300 too and I've updated it with the same RAM but Kingston. It works without any problem. :)

  • Can satellite L300 - I upgrade Vista SSD?

I'm looking to upgrade a L300 Vista to SSD. Has anyone tried to cela and what SSD for what they recommend?

In my opinion, you should update you with Win7 32 bit on SSD. A long time ago I installed Win7 32 bit on friends Satellite L300. The laptop works much better with Win7.

Upgrade SSD shouldn't be problematic. You can get the Toshiba SSD or some other manufacturers SSD.

If you need help or assistance please let us know.

  • Re: How to reinstall windows vista on my Satellite L300

I need to reinstall windows vista on my Satellite L300 because of a problem, I had with it (the computer does not start and the recovery option does not work). It has not come with a windows CD so how can I reinstall it?
Do I have to get a CD by myself and if so - what version of windows vista is compatible with my laptop?
(I can not contact the provider because I is not guaranteed).

    > It came not with a windows CD so how can I reinstall it?
You had an option pre-installed on your laptop that you helped to create the recovery disk. Seems you didn't create this disk in the past

Well, in this case, you can order the CD here:

  • Satellite L300-110 - Webcam driver open fail

    Helloe everyone,

I have the Satellite L300-110, and I have a problem with the webcam after installing Windows7.

    The error:
Webcam driver open fail. Please restart camera or computer.

The camera works fine and appear in Device Manager as Chicony USB 2.0 Camera.

However, I can use the face recognition.

    Anyone know the cause.

    Hey Buddy,

Did you check the forum for similar discussions/problems? It doesn t seem so because you will find enough referred to this problem.
Then use the forum search and read similar topics.

In any case, you should try to update the driver for the webcam and the BIOS. Both can be downloaded from the Toshiba page.

  • Satellite L300-243 to connect camcorder JVC

Toshiba Satellite L300-243 was purchased primarily for use with Pinnacle 12 doing video editing.
My previous PC had a connection to the firewall 4-4, but there is no similar link on laptop.

Can I use a cable USB 4 - do the download of the camcorder to the laptop?
Or is there another plug on the laptop I have to use?

    Bob

    Hello

I guess the JVC Camcorder supports firewire interface and it was connected to the computer via a firewire cable.

Unfortunately, it seems that the Satellite L300-243 does not support firewire port.

In your case, you could buy an Express card that contains the firewire port.
Then, you can connect the camcorder to the laptop.

  • Need drivers of Windows XP Home for Satellite L300-E02

    Hi all

I recently bought a Satellite L300-E02 (PSLB0A-08E022). It came with vista and I will it downgrade to XP Professional. When I searhed drivers on the website I found much more XP.

The question is; Is there a particular order in the installation of these? And I would like to install all. Because some seem similar, but for different hardware vendors. For example, all are in the wireless LAN category; Realtek RTL8187B Wireless LAN Driver, Utility Intel Proset, Golan/Kedron Intel Wireless LAN Driver, Driver Atheros Wireless LAN

Is there an organized list with more information apart from that one? Or anyone with an xp that installed all the?

Thanks in advance for any info.

Either way, I already installed XP by changing the SATA mode to compatibility under the BIOS settings. So I don't think that I have a problem with the SATA driver, but I can install it anyway

    Adding information

    Hello

As far as I know the Satellite L300-E02 PSLB0A is a Australian Toshiba laptop.
You must use the drivers supplied by the Australian Toshiba site.

    http://www.ISD.Toshiba.com.au/71/live.dll/topic/content/driver_search.jsp?

The L300 is equipped with different material parts. For example there could be a WLan Atheros or installed Intel card. You must first check that you have the WLan card.

Ask for a special order of installation? Well, in your case, I recommend from the installation with the essential drivers driver sound, graphics driver, touchpad driver, etc.
