• Control the Captivate 7 via embedded swf

  Hey guys,.

  I have a custom navigation buttons has been created in flash and inserted as an animation to the slide model.

  It is a basic navigation for example, next and previous buttons, which in turn will make slides in captivate advance or backword. I use flash for aesthetic reason. I can get this to work in captivate 5.5, but can not do work in captivate 7.

  How to order the cpCmndNextSlide to captivate through my embedded swf?

  Use rdcmndNextSlide rather than cpCmndNextSlide. I also propose the discovery of cp outside the button click function. I know this is an old deprecated command, but they always hide in there.

• Why does my embedded swf so ugly?

  Hello people,

  When I integrate my swf file in my Web site (running on Wordpress), it's ugly, round of image elements (which come from files PSD, is told by the way) appear jagged and ugly on my Web page, even if I use the best quality settings.

  I tried two different plugins to embed flash, but there is no difference. I find unacceptable embedded swf to research.

  How can I get it to look the way it does in the. FLA?

  If a bitmap without alias is an alias in flash, then the image is resized in flash.  enable smoothing for her.  (in your library, make a right click the bitmap symbol > click Properties > check allow smoothing.)

  You can also anti-aliasing all the GIF files and png in the publication settings (file > publication settings > gif > smooth file, tick > publication settings > png > smooth tick)

  I've read that a SWF-> AIR-> iOS app impossible to import another SWF on the fly, so am I right in assuming that an HTML AIR file cannot include and embedded SWF?  It's just a SWF.  It will not change during execution.  As a way to include the SWF file in the package so that when AUGUST the AIR app GET iOS compiled the SWF doesn't exist to somehow get embedded in the HTML document?

  Looks like you can't AIR port for iOS-based HTML, so the question is really questionable.

• Embedded swf file does not work after publication

  I've created a conference slides with embedded swf flashed that is created with AS3 including animation. It works well within Powerpoint, butitdoen can't work after publication and running with the web browser. My version of powerpoint is 2007 and Adobe presenter is 7.07. I already find offers research, but I can't find one.

  I thank Jacky. I found the main problem not turn when a flash in Adobe Presenter incorporation, it's that the main class must be inherited from the MovieClip, Sprite not as I created it before. Now it works perfectly for flash versions created from both Adobe Flash Pro. CS5.5 (11) and CS4 (10).

  I use flex sdk 4.6 and writing an AIR 3 application to use the desktop.

  In my application I am incorporating a swf application in one of my views with SWFLoader, this swf created in Flash and is not a Flex application. The application load and runs fine, but when I'm going to declare in the parent application (for example, application.currentState = "State1") I have the following error

  If I load the swf States and external switch, then I have no problem. I spent hours in the debugger trying to track down what happens, and I can say that the commitState function will eventually call regenerateStyleCache on something that is not ready for it? Sometimes subject to a review at the matchStyleDeclarations is an Image or something else that i'm going to State. But even once, when I load the swf file, it never happens. I am at my wits end and I hope that a friendly stranger can give me an idea

  OK, I discovered the problem.

  The embedded swf I have loading contained some actionscript to the effect of

  Array.prototype._myFunction = {function (arg)}

  do things

  }

  They were change the prototype of table, and (understandably) muffled Flex on something (but curiously only when state changed :/))

  After removing and rewriting functions, I can succesfully embed the swf file in my flex application

  Does anyone know how to pass a variable of Captivate to an embedded swf? I will elaborate on our situation for clarity. Finally, we Captivate allows you to create Scorm packages for use in Moodle. In this particular case, we have a Captivate project where we have several slides. On each slide, we want to import a swf created in Flash. Now, this Flash swf is configured to analyze an external XML file, determine which slide containing the swf on and then read the correct video for this slide. This file has a list of video sites (URL) and is organized by slides. The question we are hung up is how to pass the variable of Captivate (cpInfoCurrentSlide) for the current slide to the embedded swf. Someone saw?

  you might want to try to change the settings and see if that makes the right thing now, I see nothing wrong with the code snippet you posted.

• Embed a font in a SWF to use in another?

  I have an app 'player' I built that shows the content of several XML files. I have some embedded in common fonts (Verdana, Arial, Times, etc.) that it uses to display text. Now, I have a client with a symbol font special that I'll need to draw characters of to display specific text in my application. I can't embed that font in my application (due to many factors), but I would use it without having to use each character in the form of a graph (by converting each character in the font in a JPG file). So, can I integrate its fonts in a SWF file and load this SWF to use the font in my application?

  SWF1 charge SWF2 which contains an embedded font. SWF1 uses this font via an instance of TextFormant to view the text on the stage.
  
  Is this possible? My goal is 7 Flash player using AS2.

  I have this dilemma... What is the best way to embed fonts?

  In flash, I can easily integrate fonts + strings of characters that I need the menu, export the swf file and then use it in flex.

  I don't see an easy way to define the character ranges in flex. How can I get the values that I need? I read that the format is U + (beginning of range)-(end of range) but where I take beginning and end of the beach of?

  Search for the file "flash-unicode - table.xml" in your Flex SDK installation folder (he sits next to 'flex-config' file)

• Red screen on the page with the embedded swf file

  My application refused:

  I am testing your app on the BlackBerry Dev Alpha Device (OS version 10.0.9.1675). When I try to open the sub category of your app, it's only showing a red blank screen appears and does not respond.
  

  It works very well in ripple, but I can't get the Simulator working and I don't have an alpha of dev, so I can't test it myself. The subcategory is just a HTML with a built-in .swf file.
