enable spell checking in worpad

How where can I do spelling in wordpad? Just got new computer which has windows 8. Does not appear in the toolbar and do not know how to add it.

Or you can use Word online for free from SkyDrive (it has some limitations, but meets the needs most, certainly covers everything, WordPad can make).

    OE 6 doesn't come with it's own spellcheck. You need to Word or MS Office program, before 2007. The spell checker in Works 4 to 6 will work with OE, but not other editions. If you do not have such a program, you can download a free spell check to one of these sites.

  • How to disable the spell checking when using facebook

    Hello. I just started using Firefox and am really impressed. I like it.

    I noticed that when you post a message on Facebook, there is a spell checker that runs and highlights words that are misspelled. I don't see this using IE9. Is it possible to disable this "spell check"?

    Thank you

    Hello

    You can enable spell check:

    • Tools > Options (Edit > Preferences in Mac and Linux)
    • On the Advanced Options tab, uncheck "check my spelling as I type".

    Alternatively inside any input text area, you just right-click and select "Check my spelling" - he should stop checking your spelling.

    How to disable permanently the spell check in Notes?

    Here are my steps:

    1. With the help of Notes in OS X 10.11.5, click Edit/spelling and grammar and then clearly the 2 options "check spelling as you type" and "automatically correct spelling."
    2. Close and re - open Notes.

    What I expected:

    only the two options "check spelling as you type" and "automatically correct spelling" is always disabled when Notes is reopened

    In fact:

    the two options "check spelling as you type" and "automatically correct spelling" is enabled once more

    Spell check in Notes for a reason any seems particularly disruptive and unnecessary. Any way to turn it off permanently?

    The current versions of Firefox hide spelling in the context of a text box menu if the web page disables the spell checking via a spellcheck = "false" attribute of this element.

    You can click right in the area of the text editor and use "Inspect element" to see if this text box has a spell checker attribute = "false".

    Remove this spellcheck = "false" attribute by selecting it via double click and using the BACKSPACE or DELETE key should reappear the item check spelling from the context menu.

  • Outlook Express 6 - spell checker

    I try to activate spell check in Outlook Express 6. However when I go into the Options, it is not a spelling tab. I'm also in Word 2010, and as far as I can see, the spell check is enabled in that.

    See if this helps: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/932974.  I realize it's not exactly what you describe, but in any event, if you install Word 2007 or later, your spellchecker of OE no longer works.  See also: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/forum/windows_vista-windows_programs/outlook-express-6-spell-check-now-only-offers/b63a64a9-7482-45f1-895a-c42b5f547d2d

  • Spell checker not working in beta SDK 2.0.0?

    JohnPinkerton tried to get the features of spell check and AutoCorrect on the classes of qnx.fuse.ui.TextInputBase children, without success.  I tried to put together a quick example with the qnx.imf.SpellChecker class and the same thing: no error, but no sign of correction spelling feature at all. Expected events never happen.

    Anyone have any ideas if it actually works?  Two of us were building with AIR is 3.1 and tests on the version beta of OS 2.0.0.48xx on a real tablet.

    package {
        import flash.display.Sprite;
        import flash.display.StageAlign;

        import flash.utils.*;
        import mx.utils.ObjectUtil;

        import qnx.events.*;
        import qnx.imf.*;

        [SWF(backgroundColor="#cccccc")]
        public class SpellCheckTest extends Sprite {
            public var context:Object = {'test': 'this'};

            public function SpellCheckTest() {
                stage.align = StageAlign.TOP_LEFT;
                stage.scaleMode = StageScaleMode.NO_SCALE;

                var checker:SpellChecker = new SpellChecker();
                checker.addEventListener(SpellCheckEvent.SPELL_CHECK_DONE, onChecked);

                var word:String = 'suckaFish';
                checker.checkSpelling(word, context);
                trace('checking', word, 'in', ObjectUtil.toString(context));
            }

            public function onChecked(event:SpellCheckEvent):void {
                trace(event.type, 'checked', event.text);
                trace('context', ObjectUtil.toString(event.context));
                trace('errors', ObjectUtil.toString(event.errors));
            }
        }
    }

    (Useful only if you can see the output of the trace() commands, that is build with the debug mode and run the debugger during the test.)

    Spell checking must be enabled in the beta following, which will happen sometime in January. I don't have the exact dates yet but should be beginning in middle months.

  • I tried everything and cannot activate spell check in Outlook Hotmail.

    I have a brand new computer (please do not suggest an upgrade) and I did not check the spelling in my Outlook Hotmail. It is not in my toolbar next to Options. Pressing on F7 does not work. Spell check is not automatic in my new systemn and I see all the red lines that automatically appear under misspelled words. Please give me instructions on how to enable my spelling correction function that cover not the "patches" above I've already tried and did not work. If there is no solution that doesn't involve what above, please inform me on how I can go back to the old Hotmail which has perfectly worked. I apologize for the typos in this post, but you know that I did not check the spelling. Thank you.

  • spell check doesn't work is not in outlook on windows 7

    Hi the spell checker doesn't work is not in my outlook for windows 7. This can be corrected?

    Sincerely, Robert H.C.

    Outlook.com has a manual spell at the top next to the options button controlIt won't appear that if you write an e-mail AND if your browser is not checking spelling himself. In most modern browsers the spell checking is done by the browser itself and may need to be enabled in this browser

  • How to get spell checking to verify the entries of individual line?

    I recently had to create a new profile to resolve a problem with my old FF. But now the new profile, being new, do not check the spelling of the single line entries (as in the ' question' above.) But don't the input areas of text to spell check (like the one I'm typing right now).

    I know that there is a topic: changing the setting of configuration to get there, but I can't find it documented anywhere. Is there a topic: document config? Omitting can someone tell me what changes I need to do?

    layout.spellcheckDefault; 1

    Unofficial MozillaZine site has great documentation on many preferences in about: config. For this one:

    http://KB.mozillazine.org/layout.spellcheckDefault

    So it should work:

    (1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press enter/return. Click on the button promising to be careful.

    (2) in the search above the list box, type or paste SPEL and make a pause so that the list is filtered

    (3) double-click the layout.spellcheckDefault preference and change 1-2 spell check single-line controls as well as controls the multiline.

    Note: This should turn the spell checking on by default, but sites can always turn off.

  • Mac Mail: Spell checking, AutoCorrect off?

    Older versions of mail were good. New version seems quite willing that the spell checker auto correction required, and without no spelling correction at all.

    It is a nightmare for dyslexics, we want to underscore red (as in this box here) to inform that we'll type wrongly, but we don't want EVER a word randomly mortise in where we can see it happened. Good spelling, AutoCorrect absolute nightmare with emails going to full of gibberish characters.

    Why have silly programmers at Apple set up like that? If my boss fiddled with my work to make me look like an idiot I could him sacked by HR. But coders numpty at Apple think it's ok to bully customers who bought faithfully their expensive products for decades with completely bad and cruel decisions that cannot be changed.

    Can they? Please tell me that there is a work around. Please?

    And while I'm here - can do us to stop this site suddenly add text as I type to the top line as I type. That is just put cruelty on top of everything else.

    Thank you

    PS Can not update my details: now on El Cap 11.6

    System Preferences > keyboard > text tab > uncheck: automatically fix spelling.

    It is a systemic framework.
