  With virtual Server of telepresence that you will not be able to manage or create conferences directly on the server TP, you must use the conductor to create and set up conferences.  The virtual server TP is identical to the pluralistic media 310/320, to see how the virtual model differs from other models TP server, they are listed in the Cisco_TelePresence_Server_on_Virtual_Machine_Release_Notes_3-1 xbottom of pg 2.

  SSH could not be activated.

  Nothing happens in the RAM log. What are the steps required to enable the SSH server?

  Our virtual machine running vmware server ESX 3i 3.5.0 has 2 hard drives, datastore1 and datastore2.   All of our virtual servers are stored in datastore2.   Our hard disk with the datastore2 crashed and he had to be replaced.    We have backups of our virtual servers in datastore2 virtual appliance.

  To solve the problem, we replaced the hard drive crashed and then restored by using the virtual appliance backups, once restored, we noticed that the Windows 2008 requires that the activation of the licenses.

  My question is why does windows need activation when we restored the virtual server for the same hardware? The only thing that has changed is the hard drive.

  Export/import unfortunately OVFs does not have an option (at least I'm not aware) to maintain these settings. What you can do - when exporting the virtual machine as an OVF - also download the machine virtual . VMX and .vmxf files. After re - import the OVF, remove it the ESXi host inventory, download the two * .vmx files and add the virtual machine to inventory. -Once asked if you copied or moved the VM on the first power-select "I moved it.

  One of the drives needs to be expanded, but in my VMware environment, I noticed that the data with the reader store, cannot be stretched beyond, so I need to take the free space of hard drive to another store of data with free space desired.

  1. close the virtual machine in question

  2 remove the HARD disk that you want to extend

  3. in another data store make folder and move the VM HDD (vmdk) in this folder

  4. now change the settings on the virtual machine, add need HDD now this time, select "use the hard disk" option and point to the VMDK file in the other data store

  5 - turn on the virtual machine, check that every thing is okm if ok you can do the HARD disk as dynamic disk is easy to expand

  6. now incerase the VMDK from vsphere client,.

  7 now, with the help of utilities such as partition magic or acronis or utility, you can extend the player

• Move the virtual server

  We have two ESX 3.0.1 servers boot from local disks.  These are servers blades that are also connected to a San.  Most of our servers virtual residence on Lun presented to the ESX Server.  I have two virtual servers that have been setup on the local disks of blades and I want to move them to the SAN.  What is the best way to achieve this?  We do not have Virtual Center or Vmotion.

  My apologies, it's still early here and I don't read original post correctly.  You do not have vCenter you cannot use the option migrate.

  For your situation, I think VMware vCenter Converter Standalone might be your best option.

  Run the virtual network Editor.  Disable the automatic bypass.  Then, specify which of your physical NIC to the bridge to VMnet0 and specify the other physical NETWORK adapter on one of the switches (2-7, 9) unused VMnet.  In the settings of your virtual machine, select a virtual NETWORK adapter to be filled, and a 2nd we use custom connection and specify what VMnet switch to use (the one you filled the 2nd NETWORK card physical to).

  in general, it is a fairly complex task if you want to size the new platform correctly, i.e. not to oversize it and have very low use below, i.e. spend too much on equipment.

  In fact, it's the first thing to consider the level of use of the new platform. Most likely your organization (HW and infrastructure) has targets to a minimum. optimal and maximum usage levels.

  In the case where you do not have this as a starting point, and then you continue with load average and the current peak (CPU, RAM, NW). To these basic lines, you can use the statistics of WLS Admin Console, where the use of CPU and memory statistics are presented since the server was last started. For more detailed statistics, you can use WLDF to capture measures key at regular intervals, and then base your analysis of these data.

  i ' v the following scenario:

  1 x ESXi server with two server RDS W2K8R2 (this host IP: 192.168.0.224)

  multiple virtual servers running on the ESXi host assigned IPs to within this range: 192.168.0.1 to 192.168.0.254 24

  1 x LAN physical that the ESXi and Clients are connected to the and that basically this IP network assigned to: 192.168.0.0/24

  Router 1 x on the same physical LAN with this IP address: 172.19.0.254/24

  Now, here's the problem.

  I want to let both virtuall RDS servers to communicate with the router on 172.19.0.254. This isn't possible so fare for some reason any.

  I if I could just enter the 172.19.0.0 somewhere in the network settings on the ESXi network and all right, but this is obviously not possible?

  Search Google show no useful result on it. Anyone here who has an idea about this?

  I don't see any solutions other than NAT/masking.

  We had such problems in a previous and infrastructure which was the solution that us straightened up to address the issue.

  Anyone know how I can extend the D: existing 20 GB to 30 GB without losing any data? Wouldn't be a case to go to the properties of the Machine virtual > 2 hard disk > disk Provisioning and then change the size put into service 20 to 30? Then we can use Diskpart to extend the volume?

  This will keep data intact even if? Or are there other recommended methods?

  Have you tried using using VMware vCenter Converter?  It can take Virtual PC machines and turn them into VMs VMware (.vmdks), you should then be able to manufacture models of VMware virtual machines, import them into the Lab Manager and voila.

  I have a question about the number of vTS that we are allowed to deploy in a multi-party environment personnel.

  Indeed, when ordering with the former model basic PMP, we are given 3 x LIC-VTS-PMP-K9 and 3 x LIC-AES-VTS-PMP-K9 between with the licenses of the screen, then it means that I can deploy and activate up to 3 vTS.

  When we ordered for a new customer in the new PMP model, we had only 1 x LIC-VTS-PMP-K9 and 1 x LIC-AES-VTS-PMP-K9. Our client is ready to deploy 2 vTS (for reasons of redundancy). But PAK we have allows only a single VTS activation!

  Is it possible to add a second vTS with new PMP model as we were allowed to base of PMP? In fact, we tried to order an additional vTS through PUT. But we cannot find any SKU associated STM in PUT.

  Am I allowed to deploy a second STM in PMP or not? Will contact us license team to provide us with an additional vTS activation key?

  If it is possible, you will probably have to place an order with your partner, suggest you contact your account manager and they should be able to help to understand the exact process.  It's not going to be available through the PUT, because STM requires license and support contract.

• How to see the models VI3 on Virtual Server 4.1

  I'm migrating my old infrastructure VI3 (ESX3.5U5) to a new vSphere 4.1 a.

  That I create a new database on V4.1 I have to disconnect all virtual Center2.5 ESX3.5 to connect tp Virtual Server 4.1.

  I have a lot of templates on each ESX3.5 but when I reconnect the ESX3.5 to the Virtual Server 4.1 I don't see all of my models.

  If you browse data warehouses using the browser to store data, you should find all your models here.  Once locate you them, right click on the .vmtx file and "add to the inventory.
