• cRIO 6 identical systems, how to approach the IO blocks for reuse code

  I'm transferring my old PS-2000 appliances to cRIO code 9073.  I got settings codes to allow me to download a .txt file to 'set up' the database engine code incorporated for identical systems without any code changes.  Is this possible with the cRIO so devices?

  I use the following modules NI 9205 and NI 9211 2.  Fieldpoint code enabled me to address each block of Ai, cRIO doesn't look like I have the same options.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Basically an API access block that allows the cRIO modules to deal with and interviewed, returning all entries of a block.  I run in scan mode, my scan rate is quite slow, 1 to 5 seconds/read, it should work perfectly.

• Failure of Windows 10 - STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE

  I tried and could not be upgraded to windows 10 5 times now and it is really starting to frustrate me because it take hours each time. It keeps failing and return to windows 8.1 due to a defect in the engine of Intel (r) management interface. The error is a code 10 (STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE). I tried to download the drivers from the toshiba support site and found this one for Intel Management Engine, but whenever he fails to complete the installation. I tried to uninstall the driver via Device Manager, just uninstall so that remove the option driver too. If I do not restart the computer after uninstalling, the pilot simply won't work at all, but after a restart, the laptop seems to re - install the driver faulty engine management interface and the claims that this is the correct driver already. The pilot has a yellow mark explanation above and I can not solve this problem. I tried to recover windows to the default settings, but to keep my files but the problem persists. I've now had to re - download all the updates of windows in recent days to get ready to get windows 10 once again, but without solving this issue, I can't upgrade. The laptop is an excellent product and must be compatible, I just need to go beyond this issue. I downloaded too direct drivers of intel via the update utility from the intel driver, he acknowledged that the necessary driver update but will not be updated successfully, and he keeps failing. I also tried 2 Microsoft auto repair facilities, where they say they have corrected the problems, but I still have this problem to a management interface intel defective engine (Code 10). I can only assume now it's a hardware failure rather than the software/driver. I have read several forums and have no other means to try to solve it. I regularly use the Toshiba service station and finished all updates relevant, including the Bios. I think off the top of my head that it is running the BIOS v2.0.I would be very grateful if someone can help me with this, because I am desperate to upgrade to windows 10 imminent and eager to solve this problem.

  By way of update: last night I went into safe mode, uninstall the driver for the engine of Intel (r) management interface that I read must be in safe mode for this fix, but I still had the fault once restarted in normal windows. I tried to use the Toshiba driver from support in and out of safe mode page, but once again the installation failed so I still have the error Code of 10 (DRIVER_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE). It's what keeps me upgrade to windows 10.

  I then did a complete reset via the recovery after backing up all files. After the reset is complete, I went directly on the Panel, Manager of peripherals and the Intel(r) Management Engine Interface always has the explanation mark top and bed code 10 (STATUS_DEVICE_POWER_FAILURE). Very frustrating!

  It must be a hardware problem because I tried everything literally now. Anyone else has any ideas please?

  The laptop is under warranty then I hope Toshiba can look into this.

• The value of custom device entry

  In fact, I create a custom (asynchronous) device that controls a climate system. It consists in adapting a functional code LabVIEW to create custom device. Unfortunately the LabVIEW code uses a lot of FGVs that act as input and outputs at the same time (this means that the system can change the value of an entry).

  So, I would like to know if there is an easy way to set the value of an entry in the custom device engine code. I tried the following without success:

  • Written in the FIFO of the entrance channel.
  
  
  • 'Set channel use value' of the API of NI VeriStand-> I get the error 307970.

  Yes, is there something I can do to facilitate the creation of my custom device? instead of "Rethinking" all the code which is a real pain in the * the complexity of it?

  We solved that by using part of inllne to only update the channel and postponed the real asynchronous threads treatments with exchanges of data through FIFOs.

• Shared variable of subjects with the executable in real-time

  We have a PXi target running Labview time real 8.5 and we use a series of shared variables for communication between the target and the client software. The code was developed (and used) in the last 2 years, and presented no problems with the shared variables when they are deployed since the Project Explorer (for the target and the laptop based client software). However, when you try to run an executable version on the system time PXI real target of exactly the same engine code variable shared seems to fail during the initial loading. Since it is an executable, it is difficult to display errors, but it seems that the accident occurred at the beginning of the program when we try to initialize a number of shared variables. Sometimes it loads but probably only 10% of the time. When you plug the tool to debug for code and restarting the executable, runs without any problem. However, once we managed to capture and error (error-1950678982 the shared variable client side read buffer is full).

  I checked a number of messages in the Knowledge Base (e.g. how to deploy Variables of a compiled executable shared network?), but it still has not solved the problem. Thoughts and suggestions?

  I tested it for a few hours now and I can't make it fail again. The big difference in my implementation was to use your suggestion, and no wire the error cluster through the method since the error it generates caused a number of questions later. So let me summarize the final configuration that seems to work then:

  -during the execution and executable on a target time real 8.5, startup not connected to a client. Library of shared variable hosted on the target and should load by itself.

  -J' added a flat structure sequence on the vi 'main' (top of page vi executable) with a node (as shown above) Invoke method in the first structure with a timer to 10 seconds and the rest of the code in the second part of the structure. The shared variable library has been copied to the target in a data directory and the path provided to the method (the same way as above) and the IP address is that of the target.

  I discovered that it takes about 8-9 seconds for the shared variable engine and library to start (I don't remember is that past exactly that) and it is important to wait this time to initialize shared variables or the behavior is unpredictable. The method always generates the error 1043 (function not supported) but I simply ignore it now, and it seems to work.

  Thanks for your help! I will let you know if there is some instability in the future, but everything looks good from here.

  -the configuration file managed.conf is correct

  -I can telnet manually (from the command line) of the sensor for the pix, so there is no problem of communication.

  -in the file managed.conf is the conf: "NetDevice [pix_IP] PIX [telnet_pass] [enable_pass].

  but when I run the command "nrgetbulk 10003 hostid orgid 1 NetDevice" on the sensor, I get:

  You can get a little more detailed diagnostic information

  by running the command "nrget 10003 hostid orgid 1 diagnosis.

• Tweaking the snow fall

  at this moment I have a particle engine which creates the snow that falls. It uses the entire scene (_root). I try to get the snow fall in a specific clip so that it grants and removes the snowflake (particles) in a selected clip. I have a MC called widescreen_mc and I have sky_mc inside. I would like that the snow fall in the sky_mc if you only see the snow on the screen. I tried it attach in the MC sky and then change the other stettings (width, height) to settle, but nothing I do works as expected. Here's the Prticle engine code I am using. can anyone see the/say the changes I have to do to make it work (brief explanation of any code changes would be apprciated that I can see my mistkes).

  Yet once and then comment on these statements unless necessary swapDepths() and change the _x, FLF values of particles so that they start and stay (IE, edit precipitation) in your sky mc.

• Recordset errors

  Hi new post here. Quick history of the issues I'm having. I was running CF 8 64 bit with Vista and had the MS Access driver problem. SO I downloaded CF 9 32 bit version and can now set my data source for an Access database. No problem, here now, so it's good. Now when I define a recordset for a select query, I add several files to the Select statement and for some reason a particular record that I add, CF always puts the name of the record in brackets. that is "size" my database was no bracket included, but CF adds just on the name of the record. With CF 8, it doesn't seem to be a problem, but with version 9, it now throws an error message: adojni.ComException: invalid use of '. «, » !', ou « () ». in a query expression tblSwimwear. "" Size "in Microsoft JET database engine code 3092

  I know it's a lot to digest, but I am very confused as to what is happening here. New CF 8 had no problem with the "" around waist. I can even go and delete the brackets around size until I have test the select query and still get the error. If I leave aside the size record, I get no error.

  I will add this to ensure that '; m which covers all the bases, but when I set my datasource, I had to use Unicode in Microsoft Access as my driver. Don't know if it would make a difference, but can always let anyone who can help to know. Thanks in advance!

  For some reason, the text contains "Summary" is not truncated and horizontal scroll bar is displayed (for the full text of the label).
  The same thing happens if I put right = "20" instead of width = "80%".
  But if the width is absolute (width = "150"), text is truncated correctly.
  I also tried to make width of absolute list, but it did not help.
  
  Any ideas?
  
  P.S. I also noticed that if I put in the height of the canvas to 32, then the two scroll bars horizontal and vertical appear, but if I put it in the lower or upper, everything is ok (at least for these who don't need truncating)...

  We are running CPSA with a RAC configuration (all on one server), 11.5.10.2.
  
  We have around 300 000 point org assignments (20 inventory orgs). Performance plan has been very slow sometimes (sometimes takes 5 hours to finish).
  
  I noticed a lot of customers have 2 servers running (one for the transactional system) and the other for the planning server.
  
  Can anyone tell if getting another server for the planning server is the recommended approach? Should use us a 64-bit Planner? We run Linux and noted the 64 engine bits of planning only is not supported for Linux (maybe we could get a different server with a different operating system that is supported for 64-bit planning).
  
  What is the best way to get the best out of the centralized approach that we use currently (with CARS)? We have indicated that we can run the planning CAR engine in all cases (it must run separately in another simultaneous Manager unrelated to the RAC).
  
  Any comments on the above would be greatly appreciated.

  WRT to your questions

  1. it is only limited by the amount of physical memory on your machine
  2 64-bit Planner will give you no performance gain. In fact if you run the plan with the 32 bit job scheduler and planner of 64-bit on the same machine, then you will notice that the 64 bit version is still a bit slower (although hardly noticeable).
  The main advantage of using the 64-bit version is:
  1. ability to use large amounts of memory and thus execute plans big CPSA
  2. the ability to have the plan to calculate a number high (for example, order sizes, usage, etc.)
  3. it is difficult to determine what is the cause of your performance problem without looking at the program installation/data. Several factors can influence this. for example, options plan (constraint without constraint, decision, rules, etc), modifiers command combined with strong demand, the profile settings
  Also, you mention an autonomy of 5 hours. For the Scheduler itself or that it also includes the phase of snapshot? If your performance problem is in the module itself, a faster processor will help on this side.

  My recommendation is that you (as much as you seem to be still in test) is to ensure that you are on the last engine code to avoid any known performance problems. See the notes 252108.1.
  If you are on the last code, so my next suggestion would be to log a service request with the support of your data. With your flat files MBP (see note 245974.1, section 4) support can test the performance of your plan on their machines.
