  • Has anyone else tried to get the English version of Windows 7 ISO of the MS download site? I have a valid key and the website let me only to get the Korean or French version

Has anyone else tried to get the English version of Windows 7 ISO of the MS download site?  I have a valid key and the website let me only to get the Korean or French version.  English useful MS tech 'UN' told me that the English version is no longer supported and should I install one of these versions and then download the language package and install it.  Has anyone else been in this position?  It was a horrible experience with the online chat with technical support.

    Marcus,

Some people have persevered with contact support via the link on the MS download site and have finally received the download links temporary for an English version.  [You will find these discussions if you looking for the Korean forum as most people in your situation included that word in their title of the question.  I don't remember one of these threads containing any additional info that would be of no use to you.]

If that does not appeal to you & you still cannot find your original installation disks, then buy a disc-relocation

    1. Amazon now stock reinstallation DVD for just a quid [the link is for their UK site site American stocks also to them].
    2. These seem to be exactly what they claim they do not have a product key and that they are specifically described as being for reassembly only - in other words, they are not an attempt to distribute pirated Windows.
    3. You must use your own product key for activation.
    4. Make sure order you Windows 7 edition {Home Premium etc.} that is identified on your certificate of authenticity [the label that contains your product key].
    5. Some of the sellers provide 32 bit and 64 bit DVD, while others provide one or the other.  So make sure you order the right kind.
    6. These discs can do everything what a system repair disc can do, so you'll not need to make a separately.
  • I downloaded the demo for the English version of Windows, but cannot open the file Captivate_8_LS21.7z I have 32-bit. It will work or should I re-download?

I downloaded Windows English version 1.45 GB trials.

It downloaded, but I can't open the file Captivate_8_LS21.7z.

I have 32-bit. Will this work?

    Hello

In order to download / install Captivate 8 32-bit, you must download the 2 files (.7z and .exe) at the same place / folder.

Once both completely downloaded files then you will need to run the .exe file and it will extract the .7z first and then to initialize the installation program. You don't have to open the .7z file.

Let me give you the download links to Captivate 8 32 bit: -.

Say the mention of the link below in any Internet Explorer open Web browser

    https://www.Adobe.com/cfusion/TDRC/index.cfm?product=Captivate

Sign in using your Adobe id and your password, then you will be redirected to download the Captivate 8 Web Page.

Do not click download. Kindly leave this window open as it is.

Now copy and paste the reference to the link below in the new window of the same Web browser in which you opened the link above.

    http://trials3.Adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/8/Win32/Captivate_8_LS21.7z

    Then Save the file.

Do the same for the mention of the link below and save the file .exe so.

    http://trials3.adobe.com/AdobeProducts/CPTV/8/Win32/Captivate_8_LS21.exe

Make sure the two files (.7z and .exe) save/download in the same folder/location.

NOTE: Wait for the two files at the end of download and then run the .exe file.

Once you run the .exe, it will begin to extract the .7z file and provide Captivate 8 folder on your desktop that contains setup.exe. Run the setup.exe to install 8 Captivate.

  • Language in grayed when installed on the English version of Windows Server 2003

    Hello

I have a problem during the installation of Adobe Reader software using the suite of packages:

    Turkish AdbeRdr1010_tr_TR.exe

    Turkish AdbeRdr11000_tr_TR.exe

    Chinese AdbeRdr11000_zh_CN.exe

    Chinese AdbeRdr1010_zh_CN.exe

    Greek AdbeRdr10110_el_GR.exe

I tried to install their (a) on the Windows Server 2003 (English version). They install without error but when I try to launch them they come with the dialog box to select the English language and of required languages are unavailable / greyed out.

(For the Chinese language I 'Control Panel > regional and Language Options > languages tab > install files for East Asian languages checked ').

How can I activate these languages so that Adobe Reader software would result in the language that I need.

    Kind regards

In the case where if someone had the same problem, here is a solution:

Go to the window > Control Panel > regional settings > Advanced tab.

Set the field under: "Select the language that matches the version of non-Unicode programs you want to use" to the language you want to use.

    Apply the changes.

    Windows may require a restart.

Go to Adobe reader and in language settings, change the option to choose the language at the start of adobe.

When you re-breakfast Adobe language you need should be available.

  • Is it possible to use Russian Windows 7 Premium serial to install an English version?

    Hi all!

I recently purchased an ASUS Ultrabook with a Russian Windows 7 Premium 64 x pre-installed on it. (But I want an English Windows only...)
Is it possible to download an English version of Windows 7 Premium 64 x and do a clean install and use this serial number to come with the Russian preinstalled Windows? (rather than use 'Anytime Upgrade' upgrade to Windows Ultimate and install the English language pack?)
As I already have a Windows Ultimate license, I tried to use Anytime Upgrade to upgrade Premium to Ultimate... but this way, I lose the license already provided with the laptop and cannot use the ultimate license to another pc or laptop... I also knew that although the language pack helped to switch to English, some elements still remain unchanged in Russian that I can't change somehow...
Help would be very appreciated... Thank you and see you soon

The win preinstaled version has its own unique key,

If you want the English version of Win, contact Asus to see if they will be replaced (i.e. win version) or buy the English version of victory.

I bought a Toshiba laptop that is Satellite M30X-148 recently of the Germany.
Before ordering, I asked someone on the windows language and was informed that the windows in German, but could be converted into English easily with the recovery CD.
As I received the laptop and returned to my hometown, Istanbul / Turkey, I realized that Windows could not be converted to current English with the recovery CD.

Can I use the same product key with the English version of windows XP? Where can I find a recovery in English Cd?

    Best regards

    chambaz

    HI Cenk,

in my opinion the best way to change the German to the English recovery CD is to call the next Service Toshiba partner.

With https://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com you will find support & Dowloads - find an authorized Service partner

As far as I know that there are also partners in Service Toshiba in Turkey!

It may be that you must sign a solemn declaration that the CD has been changed!

    Hello

You need to buy or install an English version of Windows to completely convert the English operating system. Support for Windows XP has ended. You can try looking online or close to retail store and check the availability of the Windows XP CD.

You can also try upgrading Windows XP to Windows 7 If your computer meets the minimum system requirements.

  • I have windows 7 English version. It cannot display my Chinese names. What should I do

Explorer English version cannot display filenames chinesee. It displays? instead. What I can do. Sales of Windows 7 said no problem to display Chinese.

I have the same problem. Chinese characters were good, and I discovered that all of a sudden Chinese characters don't stove display not more. Perhaps because of an update?

Also in C:\Windows\fonts\ the Liu Ming fonts are now hidden, but I don't know if they were before the problem happened.

EDIT: just right-click on Ming Liu fonts in C:\Windows\fonts and choose 'Show' or 'View' (or whatever the word is in your locale) then by restarting my computer has solved the problem, Chinese names display correctly again.

  • Have a version Greek Windows 7 and want to upgrade to the English version.

I have the Greek version of Windows 7 (home premium) set up on my computer and want to switch to the English (United States) version.  How can I do?

You will need to borrow an upgrade of the sale retail English Windows 7 Home Premium or full version CD-ROM or an OEM of a family member or friend system integrator and use it with your COA product key to reinstall and reactivate Windows:

    If you have a retail copy of Windows 7 Home Premium, you can try to get a version of English language by using the product key;

Another option, if you do a factory reset, you should give the possibility to choose your language to English:

New computers that come pre-installed with Windows often have what is called a recovery partition. This is used to reinstall an operating system in the case of a system failure. To access it, you need to start when you start your computer by pressing a function key. This can be either F1, F2, F9, F10, F11, F12 key DEL or tab. See the manual that came with your PC for instructions on how to reinstall Windows.

This is how the recovery partition is accessible to most popular brands...

For Dell, press F8 on the keyboard until the Advanced Boot Options menu appears on the screen.

For HP, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For LG, press F11 directly after switching on the device

For Toshiba, press and hold "0" BEFORE and during the power upward

For Acer, press and hold ALT + F10, as soon as you see the logo

For Asus, press F9, as soon as you see the Asus logo.

For Samsung, press F4 to the power upward...

For Fujitsu, press the F8 key directly after the power

Advent, restart your computer. Then, press F10 repeatedly until the message "Starting system recovery"

Sony VAIO, reboot and press "F8" or "F10" repeatedly until the screen "Advanced Boot Options".
