Enigma of the password of blackBerry Smartphones

Somehow, I blew it away and am at my last guess my password to logon. What happens if I use the last attempt and fails. Is any way to reset my password before I make my final guess?

# Once you have exhausted all ten attempts, your information is toast.  If you made a backup of the data with BlackBerry Desktop Software or BlackBerry Protect you very well.  If you do not, uh... well, I could help you.

  • Issue of guardian for the password of blackBerry Smartphones

I like this app on my 9700, but affected by the loss of the phone and ergo my long list of passwords that I haven't recorded anywhere else in a nice centralized fashion.  In any case to remove what I have on the phone in order to print and keep safely between my mattress?  Or it is only available when I save?  How to get out of here if I don't get another BB right?  Thanks for the ideas.

The password Keeper app is a basic application, without frills and other features.

It is included in the backup made with Desktop Manager. It is not visible via the backup... you can try to use a software on your PC that reads the backup IPD files, MenaStep MagicBerry or ABC Amber IPD Extractor to read the IPD file.

But otherwise, it is intended on the use of the device.

If you want a more complete password recommended guardian app, try KeePass or DataVault.

Both have PC interface you want.

    1. Connect your BlackBerry smartphone to your computer.
    2. In the BlackBerry Desktop Software, click device > restore.
    3. Select a backup file that contains the data you want to restore.
    4. Do one of the following:

  • Correct password of blackBerry Smartphones and yet BB only unlock, almost 10 attempts

I forgot my BB in my backpocket and sitting on it together and found that the password had been tried 6 times. He gave the instruction to type in "blackberry", and then the password that I did correctly, it's a password that I used for the last month, so I know I'm not wrong. I have managed to unlock the phone but noticed the 4 entered digits now arrive in legible on-screen characters and not the usual Asterix displayed when passwords/pins are entered. I have that one attempt remaining, can help please?

Often users with more than one digit in their password will only press the ALT key to the first digit and not those who follow, so for example, if your password "1234", you could put pressure on 'Alt 1234 "on the device, making the real password to be"1st".

Who is? It sounds familiar to your use?

In order to verify the manner in which you enter your password on the device... do you think that you enter several numbers, but in fact are not?

  • Frozen to the software update blackBerry smartphones

I have a Blackberry Curve 9360 and it is frozen all by doing an update of the software (progress overall backup 13%).  It has been like that for the last two hours.  I tried to take out the battery, but it just goes back to the same screen when it restarts.

    Can anyone help please?

    Two options to try:

    One:

    • Open Blackberry Desktop Software & connect your device with the PC using the USB cable, without inserting the battery.
    • You have three Retry option, update or cancel, and then click Update.
    • Once it is at the stage of the "initialization of pocket" update, then insert the batteries.
    • If this does not work, and you get stuck on the safeguarding of social data feeds, go to the second method below.

    Second:

    • Start your BlackBerry in safe mode.  Article ID: KB17877 how to start a mode BlackBerry smartphone without failure http://www.blackberry.com/btsc/KB17877
    • Connect to the BlackBerry Desktop Software and allow handheld to connect. If you are prompted to update, cancel the upgrade for later.
    • IF you can not connect or your desktop software does not recognize your device in Mode safe, please follow the instructions here to force detection: Article ID: KB10144 how to force detect the BlackBerry smartphone using the Application Loader
    • Go to device > delete > SELECT DATA > select this option to remove the Social flow and smart card data bases and follow the rest invites you to complete.
    • Now, you can go back and click to update the device through the Desktop Manager, or restart the BlackBerry in normal mode and continue on the upgrade of the air.
  • Changed display of password of blackBerry Smartphones

I have a simple password enabled on my device. Tonight, my son was messing around and tried to enter the password.  Somehow, he changed the asterisks projection screen when the password is entered to show the alphanumeric characters.  I tried to use the alt - shift keys to get the display settings to change it back and enter the actual password, but the screen changes to asterisks and the device does not accept that the password entered as the actual characters is the same thing (I think it's similar to what Mickey55 posted on below - however, my unit is less than one year old).  Anyone have any ideas?  I am on try #9 and really don't want to have all the data wiped out by starting from scratch.

  • Guardian of password of blackBerry Smartphones

After running fine for months suddenly my guardian of password will be synchronized only a partial number of records continues to "cycles" and do not allow me to access the app must be linked to the implementation of the new laptop Dell XPS13 I finished yesterday. Maybe something to do with using electronic mail to Microsoft Outlook on my old laptop from Samsung, but now it just go with Google Mail on the new Dell? My Blackberry was using Google Mail from the first day, as it was my Verizon Ellipse 7 tablet. I am not technically savvy enough to know what happened (obviously), but it is no coincidence if the password keeper 'synchronization problem' began in concert with installation and file transfer to the new Dell laptop. Help!

Ok. I do not use it, have not met, but here's what I think I'll try...

Perform a full backup before doing anything else.

Restart the BlackBerry and try again.

Perform a soft reset and try again. http://www.BlackBerry.com/BTSC/KB02141

In the settings for password Keeper, delete again cloud recordings and sync. (I guess it's possible, although I don't know exactly what you see when cloud sync is enabled and you erase the cloud records.)

  • BlackBerry Bold 9900 not saved the network of Blackberry smartphones

    Hello

I have Blackberry data services with my provider of Meteor, and that they worked with my previous Blackberry 9900. I had to replace it and bought a second-hand 9900, which was a feature of company on the Vodafone network. I have unlocked it and I am able to use the SIM for calls and connect to the internet via wifi, but I'm unable to activate Blackberry internet services. Host Routing Tables are empty and I can't save. In addition, in the e-mail settings, I get only the ability to create a company account.

I did a full factory reset and I tried to save the Tables in routing host several times but nothing happens.

    Thank you

Hello and welcome to the community!

Start here please... you did some, but not all, these necessary things:

    • Article ID: KB05099 Steps to take before selling or after the purchase of a used BlackBerry smartphone

    In addition, please check this:

    • Article ID: KB30076 How to check for an it on a BlackBerry smartphone policy

If there is a COMPUTER policy, please will then this:

Finally, after all that, with a strong network carrier (for example, not only WiFi), I suggest the following steps, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message from your BB... Please wait just before moving on to the next step):

    1) register HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network
    • Please wait a 'registration' message reach your Messages application

    2) Remove and return Service books

    • KB05000 Remove the maintenance book for the BlackBerry Internet Service email account in the BlackBerry smartphone
    • If you do not have access CMIME, continue deleting
    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service
    • Please wait "the Activation' Messages, one per already configured e-mail account, arrive in your Messages. If you have not already configured email accounts, please wait 1 hour.

    3) restart

    • With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes.
    • See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you! If this isn't the case, then again please contact your mobile provider for formal support. Please ask him to check very carefully as to why your BB cannot receive BIS of their network. There are several possible reasons (e.g., lost or stolen), and you will have to convince them to 'dig deeper' to understand why. Be aware that only they can do this research... nobody here has any access to this research.

    Good luck!

    Hi ericschiff

Welcome to the Forums of the BlackBerry Support

What model of torch you have! If you encounter a problem with the update you can try to re - install BlackBerry World. For which first of all, go to Options > device > application > locate and remove BlackBerry World of this list.

  • Passwords for blackBerry Smartphones

When I tried to sync with my computer, asked me my password. I must have failed to make a note of it and I don't remember so that if I can't get to the next attempt he will erase all my data. How can I contact BlackBerry to reset it in order to avoid this problem?

BlackBerry cannot help with your password.  The password contains a number?  You can use the ALT key on the blackberry for Numlock.  No other options here, try to disconnect the computer and do a battery pull.  Let the boot of the phone upwards and try your password again on the device only.  This will give you some further tests to amount out.

  • Questions of password of blackBerry Smartphones

I want to put a password but I don't want to lock the phone whenever he falls asleep.  Is it possible to lock onto a different frequency when you set a password?  Preferably I would he lock every day at a specified time.

Otherwise, I would like to put a password, but never lock the phone, but to change the password it should know.  It's my second option.

Is it possible to do one or both of them?

It is not possible through the security to the BlackBerry device password. I'm not if there is no third-party apps available to do so. However, with a 3rd party applications you can block specific applications.
